Basic Info:

  • Blocks labeled "the Something Building" are office buildings. Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill.
  • Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

[edit] Description

The Parks Building is an old building located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. The building was named after Milne Park, which was constructed as part of a joint venture, thus allowing the residents of the Parks Building access to it.

In the days following the "Malton Incident" this building became popular among survivors who wanted to stay close to the relative safety provided by the Devonshire Building NecroTech facility, without actually spending the night in often targeted facility. This was in part due to the only adjacent safe location to the Devonshire Building being a junkyard.

Unfortunately survivors soon discovered that the Parks Building, while convenient, also proved to be an unlucky safehouse. On more than a few occasions by zombies passing through the suburb targeted the building and succeeded in feasting on the survivors inside. These ill-fated incidents eventually earned the Parks Building the nickname "Unlucky Park", as any survivor who actually "parked" (stayed) there for the night might wake up to find themselves dead the next morning.

[edit] Barricade Policy

Please keep this building at EHB.
Please keep this building at EHB.

In accordance with the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps barricade plan the location should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors.

[edit] Current Events

December 9th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that the Parks Building was Extremely Heavily barricaded, but unlit.

August 7th, 2007 - I found noted Madman, Dudly, inside this very building. Preparing for a showdown. --Vortexx 16:51, 7 August 2007 (BST)
