The MacKenzie Arms was founded 15 years ago by Duncan MacKenzie, a Scot of ill repute who was rumored to have been involved in gun running during the Troubles with Northern Ireland. The rumor, despite strong evidence to the contrary (he was a Scot), persisted largely due to his extravagant lifestyle which belied the limited income he derived from his pub. In the early stages of the Malton Incident, MacKenzie vanished. Most survivors believed he perished in the initial days of the quarantine, but some naysayers and conspiracy buffs believe he was spirited out in the middle of the night by his alleged underworld business partners. Looters, mostly teenagers, have scoured the remains of the pub looking for evidence that MacKenzie was involved in shady dealings, but nothing has ever surfaced.
Today, MacKenzie Arms serves as the game room for McCloud's Pub East, and much of the kitchen equipment has been appropriated for or relocated to the main Pub in Dalley Library. To date, no staff members have reported finding any guns, bodies or other evidence of shady dealings by old man MacKenzie, but rumors still persist.

The only thing livelier than the atmosphere is the hospitality and the fine zoological collection of taxidermy. The Snee Arms; come for the menagerie, stay for the suds! A true haven for free-running survivors accruing AP for a mopping-up mission or another variant type of undead cleansing.
Currently a favoured drinking hole for the Malton Zookeepers, all who breathe and possess a pulse are welcome at the Snee. Drop by and have a beer sometime... MonteChar 12:16, 26 June 2007 (BST)
