At one time this was a quiet and cosy local, the sort of place old codgers could put their feet up, but attempts by the owners to modernise turned it into a trendy, thumping, working man's boozer. Several other establishments followed suit and drove large numbers of rowdy pensioners out onto the streets. Malton's police force was having trouble coming up with a tactic to tackle their drink fueled anti-social behaviour, but then of course, the Zombies came.
