This page is for the requesting of page moves by normal users. The average user's ability to move pages has been rescinded due to frequent abuse by vandals; as such, users will need to submit requests (similar in nature to those on Speedy Deletions and Protections) for pages to be moved by a sysop.

[edit] Guidelines for requesting a Page Move

Copy the template below (Or just type it), replace the text in red with the relevant details, and paste the template under the Move Request Queue heading. A day after a sysop has taken action on the request, move requests should be moved to the Archive.

• Pretty much same story as with Greentown Barricade Plan (below). Remove the redirect and create a new page, Ridleybank Barricade Plan with the template code. I'll add categories, etc. when it's done.

Yeah... But... Just as before, all I had to do to complete this "move" was just add {{Ridleybank Barricade Plan}} and Category:Ridleybank to the redirect Ridleybank Barricade Plan. Why does it need to go through A/MR? --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 06:41, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

I recommend using the "edit" function for the page in question. Just ditch the redirect code and replace it with something else. –Misanthropy ^Talk_{RDD BE} 06:47, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Truth be told, I see the template more as a guideline. Just include the original and the new place and I don't think anyone cares about the formatting outside of the level 3 header.

The recent vote regarding Category:Humour indicates overwhelming support for correct spelling on this wiki rather than idiot colonialisms. This needs moving to Web Colours and the degenerate spelling left as a redirect. -- . 08:34, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

The redirect should still leave the links valid, I don't think there are any redirects to what will become a redirect, the coding should be fine. -- . 08:44, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

I think that's got most of the major ones, the rest seem to be user page preferences and substituted templates that will be picked up by the redirect created by the move. There are no outstanding redirects to the wrong location. Everything is now a bit broken until you do the move though. -- . 08:57, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

I've fulfilled it, but for the record I don't condone any sort of mass-vigilante against American spelling either in article name or content.
