Jjames

Howdy! I've been on the wiki for a while now and have contributed regularly. I like to think I've grown a bit since getting here and work on self improvement daily. My interest in being a moderator is to help make the wiki a better place for everyone involved. I pledge to be fair, respectful, and reasonable.Jjames 03:34, 30 August 2006 (BST)

I thought I'd expand my statement for any who might be on the fence. I take full responsibility for Operation White Storm. I was the one who came up with the idea for it, but for the record it was scinfaxi who posted that we would hold it at the Crossman Grove PD (not suprisingly). I figured that since this was a parody of racism anyway, holding it at a police station that opposed the event would add to satire. It made us look like stupid, race baiting lunatics which is how I see the white pride movement. However, I also worry about the prejudiced undercurrent demonstrated by those "enlightened" opponents of the event. This too was a target of my satire. I felt that by clearing the air and exposing some of the hostility on the wiki, we might work through it to a calmer, more understanding environment for everyone. However, I do apologize to anyone offended and I take responsibility for the fact that parody can sometimes be misinterpreted. I did everything with the best interests of the wiki at heart and once the event was complete, owned up to the joke of my own volition. Please keep this in mind if your sole reason behind voting was OWS.Jjames 03:55, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I'm changing my vote, and vouching in Amazing's honor. He would want this. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 03:43, 30 August 2006 (BST) Against - You have yet to demonstrate that you are beyond causing as much drama as possible. No. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 03:36, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - OWS anyone?--Gage 03:37, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - If you're serious about this... not only I agree with Bob, but I must say that we still have to see edits coming from you that are in fact contributions to the community. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 03:39, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Might use his mod powers to put his finger in someone. That would be bad. Scinfaxi 17:34, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Purely to piss Amazing off. –Xoid STFU! 03:40, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Ditto Xoid. --Miasig.gif(user)(talk) 03:43, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Pissing off Amazing does not automatically a good mod make. If you really want this, come back and try me again after I've seen some real contributions. --Darth Sensitive Talk W! 03:49, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I think he would be a fine addition to the current mod staff. --Zod Rhombus 04:14, 30 August 2006 (BST)

    • What Moderator duties do you see yourself focusing on, as a rule?
    • How do you react to criticism online?
    • What is your current attitude to the moderators, as a group?
    • Have you had any previous position of responsibility in any other online communities, and if so, elaborate?
    • Do you really believe that the moderation group needs your assistance?
  • Vouch - The shipment of hamters just arrived at my door, so... Cyberbob  Talk  08:25, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Would consider changing to Vouch if Scinfaxi also ran, so we could truly herald the end of the wiki as a helpful resource. -- Alan Watson Talk · MalTel 08:33, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - This user would enFLAME the wiki with his conduct and decisions. Under No circumstances would I stand in favor of this candidate.. Although I applaud the maturity displayed in owning up to the OWS issue (among others), He has not shown me that he has the ability to walk away from a conflict when he can no longer be of benifit to it. Conndrakamod T CFT 08:47, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Mainly for OWS. Pillsy 09:04, 30 August 2006 (BST)

  • Against - No fucking way. Caused bit too much trolling/flaming/drama. Also you are not the most constructive type out there. --Niilomaan GRR!Bob06! 09:31, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Abstain- It's nothing personal, man. I like you and The Faggots, but you can't be a trouble maker and a mod at the same time. Once I see your decision in the future through your actions, I'll reconsider.--A1C JerryASSPKASAT 09:46, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Hah! --Brizth M T 12:52, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - The constant harassment of the Crossman DF coupled with (at the very least) poor taste in satire involving OWS, and his actions towards me for admittedly mistaken edit (I am still new here) on the OWS page demonstrate immaturity and a lack of respect for other users. --Steele Glovier 17:33, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Are you fucking kidding? Too much drama, completely biased. Probably the most unsuitable modship candidate I have ever seen.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 17:59, 30 August 2006 (BST)
Till I run ;) --Zod Rhombus 23:05, 30 August 2006 (BST)

  • Against - I am against "Jjames" and everything both of them stand for. --Karlsbad 05:18, 5 September 2006 (BST)
  • Abstain - I wasn't here when all the Amazing stuff was going on but with that being said I haven't seen you actually do anything. Youronlyfriend 06:13, 5 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - I got the whole thing that OWS was satire. I know it was a joke. But it bothered people, and doing something that bothers people because it isn't against the rules is an annoying trait. --Kiki Lottaboobs 01:04, 6 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against- Never --Grigori 22:44, 6 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Because anyone that clings so tightly to the life-raft of irony whilst knowingly offending people is just a somewhat intelligent troll. "Hey, it's okay for me to offend you and belittle you, because I'm smiling!" Pull the other one, it's got bells on. (And Monty Python are funny - so there's a key difference right there.) --Funt Solo 12:31, 8 September 2006 (BST) Additionally, because since I voted he's been giving me a lot of unnecessary grief. --Funt Solo 09:09, 9 September 2006 (BST)
I tried following your link to see what "unecessary grief" I was supposed to have given you, but the text is too tiny.Jjames 08:46, 10 September 2006 (BST)

  • Against - I'd sooner vote for Mr A. - David Malfisto 16:39, 9 September 2006 (BST)
  • Abstain - I'm already concerned about the number and quality of mods, but I don't know this person well enough to say one way or another. Asheets 04:36, 11 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I can't see a reason why not.--Brendoshi 20:17, 11 September 2006 (BST)
