The General Reconfirmation Bid

Hi, I suppose I may as well throw my hat into the ring. I began editing the wiki near the end of 2005, I was promotedon 13 April 2006 and I believe i'm the longest running currently active sysop on the wiki.

I have no idea how many edits i've made, but it's in the thousands. I started off on the suggestions page, but since then my main contributions have moved over to maintenace.

Well, I hope the community decides i'm still fit to be a sysop. But, either way, I think it's right that it should be their decision as it's the general community that sysops are supposed to serve.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:06, 12 May 2007 (BST)

  • Vouch - Balls to the walls for all Sysops, indeed! --User:Axe27/Sig 21:11, 12 May 2007 (BST)
  • against sure you do a decent job but until you get rid of the logout tag thing on your page i can't help but feel you consider the rest of us nothing more than an annoyance! --Honestmistake 21:50, 12 May 2007 (BST)
The logout thing is my idea of a joke :P. If it really doe annoy you that much then i'd happily remove it.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 22:16, 12 May 2007 (BST)
I complained about it once before and you were fairly rude about it and its still there! what can i say... Bob gets involved in drama and can be more than a bit "abrasive" but you seem to go out of the way to be petty, rude or downright abusive! If this was for purely maintainance duties then yes but its a bit more than that and you have been far too partisan in the past for my liking. That said it should be about competance and i will change this vote in a few months time if you can prove to have curbed your ego because on the technical side i doubt if many ould fault you. --Honestmistake 01:56, 14 May 2007 (BST)
I can't actually remember the occasion, and I can't see it in my archive. The tag is no longer there, as I removed it a couple of days ago.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 10:41, 14 May 2007 (BST)
It was made on another page, arbi's i think but i am glad you have taken it off. I am not going to change my vote this time because i think you are going to get the vouches anyway but i do think you are avoiding drama these days and if you can keep that up then i would be willing to vouch in a few months! Just worried that the reason you have avoided trouble recently is that you have been in-active. --Honestmistake 13:29, 14 May 2007 (BST)
  • Vouch - With reservations, but most are due to innactivity, no concerns of behaviour. It would be cool to have you around a lot more General, if just for having a well mixed variety of views in administrational issues. Anyways, as long as you keep yourself informed on what's happening around here, I don't have any concerns about a good contributor as you keeping his post. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 21:59, 12 May 2007 (BST)

  • vouch - no problems --Vista +1 09:35, 16 May 2007 (BST)
  • vouch - Look I'll give you a vouch, however I've got the same reservations as Mathew, in regards to inactivity. I'd like to see all sysops get more active and build up the community pages (especially the local help pages - the wiki help pages are horrific for newbs). --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 11:19, 18 May 2007 (BST)
The reason i'm not that active is because I don't see anything to post about, basically. I don't usually see much here that seems to require my input. I will, however, take a look at the help pages, as they are almost ridiculously useless.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 15:43, 18 May 2007 (BST)
