This policy is an extension of this policy.

---

New things that should be added to this policy.

Not Allowed

  • Images larger than 120px in width.
  • Background Colors
  • The blinking tag.
  • The marquee tag (if it ever works in the wiki)
  • Making the text size abnormally large or small to where it is disruptive in any way.
    • The use of the <small>, and tags are still allowed.

Restrictions

  • Signature length is capped at 30 characters.
  • Cumulative file size of all images in the signature must not exceed 10kb

---

All users are asked to comply with this policy as soon as it is approved. Any signature that if found to not comply with the policy within 3 days of it's passing will be reverted to either the first version in the page history that complies with this policy or simply to [[User:<name>|<name>]] if no usable version exists. Intentional bad faith violation of this policy will be considered vandalism and will be treated as such.

Funt Solo has brought up on the talk page that he would like templated signatures removed from the wiki entirely. I am leaning towards that direction as well. I encourage him to start another policy to deal with this issue.

  4. Definitely not. --ZombieSlay3rSig.png 02:35, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  5. What is "intentional bad faith" and, more importantly, who rules over such a subjective term? How is a 20 kb image reduced to a fraction of its original size so it complies with every other rule more inappropriate than a <10 Kb gif that encourages masturbation? No. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 04:02, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  6. I think that signatures should be reigned in, but I see some big holes in the policy as is. If this were refined, I would reconsider. --Kiki Lottaboobs 05:00, 2 February 2007
  7. No. Even though I may not have a signature, this is way too restrictive. 10 kb is literally nothing. I can agree, however, with the way-too-big lettering. --Deathbladde 05:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  8. Meh. I don't think signatures are enough of a problem to warrant restrictions, myself. Now, banning templated sigs... that'd be a worthy cause. --Hubrid Nox Mod WTF U! B! 06:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  9. Noted what Deathblade pointed out about the 10 Kb restriction. Missed it myself. I still agree about ridiculously long signatures, blinking, scrolling, etc., though. --SirensT RR 00:09, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
