  • Vouch - I know Revenant well, and I can say that he cares about the rules, not just following them but also questioning and reforming them when necessary. Moreover, he's cool-headed, fair, not afraid to stand up for what he thinks is right, and not afraid to back down when he's wrong. Also, he has extensive wiki experience, not just with the UD wiki but also with other wikis, and as such he can provide an objective outsider's point of view that the sysop team would otherwise lack. In short, he's an excellent choice. ~ AphelionT 19:58, 5 July 2010 (BST)
Follow them rulz! - Poodle of Doom 20:06, 5 July 2010 (BST)
Incidentally, he did follow the rules! If you look at the vandalism policy page, his actions were not in violation, but this is an argument for that page, not this one. ~ AphelionT 20:13, 5 July 2010 (BST)
For what he was originally charged with. Regardless, he still recieved a warning for vandalism. You can't dispute that. - Poodle of Doom 20:24, 5 July 2010 (BST)
He did, but it's my hope that it'll be overturned. The warning was unjust. But again, that discussion is for A/VB. ~ AphelionT 20:44, 5 July 2010 (BST)
It won't be. That aside though,... I look at it this way. It's only a warning. It's no big deal. He'll be able to have it struck in two months if he's active enough, and if he isn't,... he shouldn't have this job anyway. - Poodle of Doom 20:52, 5 July 2010 (BST)
You are wrong. I *am* disputing it. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 21:32, 5 July 2010 (BST)
You're a dumb fuck. I didn't say you couldn't petition for it to be overturned. I said you couldn't deny the fact that it's been ruled vandalism, and you've been issued a warning. - Poodle of Doom 22:02, 5 July 2010 (BST)
It's funny, I could have sworn there was rational thought going on in there. And yet you continue to miss the point. Oh well. Not my problem, thank Eris. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 22:29, 5 July 2010 (BST)
I thought the Goddess of Chaos/Discord was named Aeris, not Eris. But I looked it up and sure enough it's Eris. Thanks for inadvertantly teaching me something new Rev! :D -- Goribus 22:46, 5 July 2010 (BST)
You know Rev,.... you're right. It wasn't ruled vandalism, and you weren't given a warning based on something unrelated. Argue that all you want. Just one question,... how do you plan to fit in with the rest of the ops? - Poodle of Doom 23:20, 5 July 2010 (BST)
It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. :P ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 04:23, 8 July 2010 (BST)

What's even funnier is that he recieved a warning for something unrelated to what was originally brought up in A/A. - Poodle of Doom 20:05, 5 July 2010 (BST)
I am a political prisoner and the victim of sysop bias. Hence my running against psyop corruption. Consider the source: I have never even been brought to A/VB before, whereas the ruling sysop is not only involved in the case but has a history of being brought there. (Also, as Poodle.) ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 20:11, 5 July 2010 (BST)

Allow me to elaborate: last I checked, DDR was a sentient being responsible for his own actions. Am I wrong? ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 21:35, 5 July 2010 (BST)
So if I were to massivly vandalise the wiki, say, I took images and that were masivly used, linked to on thousands of pages,... And edited their pages to include {{Subst:User Talk:Poodle of doom}}, severly hindering the wiki's performance, and did that on all the op's pages as well, not a one of them could rule vandalism, because they'd all be involved? - Poodle of Doom 21:56, 5 July 2010 (BST)
    …No. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 04:16, 8 July 2010 (BST)
Well,... hows what I've suggested any different from you posting the topic of discussion on DDR's talk page, then telling him he can't rule because he's involved? - Poodle of Doom 04:33, 8 July 2010 (BST)
Because he chose to involve himself well before I had done that. Also because the example you cite would be obviously massively bad faith vandalism with the intent to fuck up the wiki, whereas my actions were simply playing the game of politics. Y'know, trying to role-play a little on a role-playing section of the site. For a role-playing game . Sheesh, sometimes I think it's like you people take me seriously. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 04:38, 8 July 2010 (BST)
He was taking care of suspected vandalism, and if deemed "Not Vandalism", he could of simply reverted all his edits. DDR's undoing of your posts was just as much a "Good Fait Edit" as you claim yours was. Long story short, as a Sysop, DDR was simply doing his job, wether you like it or not. He's not here to be your friend, or mentor,... he's only here to take care of buisness. - Poodle of Doom 13:23, 8 July 2010 (BST)
Except that he ruled on a case that he had already chosen to involve himself in (and picked a side, to boot) and thus violated his objectivity. As such, he was perfectly within his rights to take me to A/VB (for what he perceived as Vandalism… I'm guessing he doesn't meta much outside the wiki) and thus should properly have abstained from judgement. Is this so hard to understand? Eris help me, I may have more ethics reform work ahead of me than I had previously realised. (Also, he cited the election "being near to closing" more than 2 days (IIRC) before it was due to do so, thus clearly attempting to handicap my campaign, which he voted in opposition to.) ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 14:09, 8 July 2010 (BST)
I wonder if this works in real life,... "Hey mister police man, I know you pulled me over for having been speeding and all, but you can't take my dope, and charge me with drug posession. You already involved yourself with my speeding, and are biased against me because you're pissed I made you get out of my car." Jackass,.... - Poodle of Doom 00:47, 9 July 2010 (BST)
Actually this does work in real life - every trial can be appealed given sufficient grounds. Try thinking before calling someone a jackass when you're blatantly wrong. ¬_¬ When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 01:53, 9 July 2010 (BST)
I don't know where you come from, but that don't work where I live. Yes you could appeal, but the grounds I suggested above wouldn't work. - Poodle of Doom 14:17, 9 July 2010 (BST)
Unless you live in some kind of military banana junta, you are entitled to appeals, especially after controversial trials. Your grounds mean nothing when they have zero to do with Rev's bullshit case. When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 20:16, 9 July 2010 (BST)
I didn't say you weren't entitled to an appeal. I said you have to have a leg to stand on to get it. You can't just say "Give me an appeal dammit!" - Poodle of Doom 20:22, 9 July 2010 (BST)
And he has one... When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 20:55, 9 July 2010 (BST)
Orly? - Poodle of Doom 21:10, 9 July 2010 (BST)
I fail to see what that image proves, other than showing that Rev has been escalated for bullshit and is lodging an appeal as a result that. You really aren't actually contributing anything of note. When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 21:24, 9 July 2010 (BST)
My point is that even after all this time, your appeal hasn't done anything for you. So much for having a leg to stand on. - Poodle of Doom 21:40, 9 July 2010 (BST)
Rev has an excellent case for appeal.... he is very unlikely to win that appeal but that is far and away from the same thing as having no grounds for one. Sometimes kicking up a fuss in the full knowledge that you will not win is the best, no, only thing left to do--Honestmistake 01:10, 10 July 2010 (BST)
Well to better clarify my position on the subject. I don't think he has a leg to stand on (from a winning perspective). However I'm not saying he shouldn't do it. Truth be known, in most courts,... if you're brought to trial for having done one thing,.... and the courts discover other crimes you've commited,... even if you're found innocent of the original charge,... and later guilty for the second,... throwing a shit fit isn't going to dismiss you from the case, or those charges. Regardless, when you've fought your way through all the other charges, and appealed all you can,... well,... you just need to know when to quit. Besides,... 2 months, and 250 edits,.... and the warning doesn't mean anything anyway. No big deal... - Poodle of Doom 01:19, 10 July 2010 (BST)
It's actually one month, but it's good to know you've been paying attention. And any infraction at all that isn't warranted is grounds for a fuss. You may remember that not long ago one the wiki's most prolific contributors left due in large part to the circumstances surrounding how poorly handled his A/VB history had been. Knowing when to quit is less important than knowing if to quit, and this is an issue worth pressing. Your pissant attitude towards it, however, is not, but that simply proves that you can't actually follow the advice you blithely dole out to others. When I fall, I'll weep for happiness 01:37, 10 July 2010 (BST)
Using Iscariot as an example of how one's A/VD should be handled is one of the dumber things once can do. Also is calling him one of the most prolific contributors, since the only thing prolific about him was knowing how to cause trouble. -- 10:20, 10 July 2010 (BST)
According to his signature, he's been approved by you. Surely that must mean something, right? ;) Aichon 10:46, 10 July 2010 (BST)

I love indenting! But frankly, we're in no place to argue if he deserves an appeal or not. If a sysop is willing to hear his case, he has grounds for it. At the moment, Aichon is listening to him, so he has the right to appeal to him.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:04, 10 July 2010 (BST)
