New Candidate?

The wording of the policy really is vague on it ("All active users with the sysops status are automatically declared candidates..."). Even if he were eligible (and I'm not saying he is or isn't), I'd recommend that he withdraw his candidacy just to keep things simple. —Aichon— 10:45, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

No of course not, but I don't consider being right an event of such rarity that it constitutes a "wow" factor, or in fact that it needs specific mention. The wording is broad and I had wondered that myself before my promotion ended. The question of my eligibility is pretty irrelevant of course since I would promptly withdraw were I considered a candidate. As far as a case of precedent, it is an interesting question. You may want to add me to Ineligible Candidates if I'm truly not eligible. ~ 14:36, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
