According to several files I've found among the ruins of Zulu Lab and from a few first hand accounts from former researchers, there are not one, but at least 26 secret underground labs around the city, each named after a letter of the phonetic alphabet, with Zulu lab as the main complex, controlling all Necrotech operations in the city. Almost all of them are located under Necrotech offices. The only known exception being Yankee lab, which is located under the Pitman Mansion.

Each lab, despite being linked to at least three others by underground tunnels, was more or less independent in its day to day running, with a Head Researcher in overall control of the projects the lab accepts. Despite this freedom of research, the labs were highly productive.

Of the 26 labs, Zulu Lab has been all but destroyed following the massive blast that ripped through the Blackmore Building just before the outbreak, Yankee Lab has been locked down due to contamination, and Alpha lab was never fully completed before the outbreak. The remaining 23 are thought to be inactive due to the city-wide power outage, although I have heard rumours of one or two under minimal operations.
