The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues.
After the current Crisis in Malton has reached a breaking point, the UN has voted to send peacekeepers into Malton. Many people outside of Malton believes that zombies are responsible for the current crisis and blames them for the mass killing and looting, however many aid groups as well as the leaders of the United Nations disagree.
ShadowScope, the leader of the UN Force said, "The crisis has occured due to a myriad of factors and while there has been some unconfirmed reports of attacks by Zombies, it is obivous that many human right abuses are being done by the many rogue militas and paramilitary organizations who also done horrible deeds. We believe that we need to stop the crisis in Malton now, and our peacekeeping force is being sent to deal with the crisis."
The peacekeeping forces main goal is to prevent both zombies and suriviors from attacking each other. They will only fire if need be to defend themselves, but other than that, they will hopefully seperate the two parties. ShadowScope states clearly that the Peacekeepers will NOT be hostile.
The United Nations has also publically issued a 5-Step Road Map to Peace for ending the Crisis in Malton: ---An Immediate Ceasefire Between major Surivior and Zombie militas, followed by negogiations to be held in a netrual suburb, or, if necessary, outside of Malton. The goal of the ceasefire is to allow for aid supplies to be dropped in, so that the high death toll can be halted, or even reversed.
---An end to all attacks being done by both Suriviors and Zombies.
---An establishment of a fair-powersharing deal between Zombies and Suriviors that will allow for reconcilation and economic recovery.
---Recognition by all parties of the legimately elected Mayor of Malton, Murbulskond (Murray Jay Suskind & Bullgod).
---Extraditing all war criminals out of Malton for trial in the ICC.
ShadowScope, of the United Nations, has applied to sit with the CoL, the Council of Leaders, hoping that this new Council will be boosted with the blessings of the International Community, as well as hopefully pave the way to implemenation of the Road Map.
ShadowScope has once been the leader of a short-lived group known as the Republic of Scarletwood, with the main goal of creating a nation that would have a power-sharing agreement between zombies and suriviors. He now profess to wanting to live in a Malton that is not divided.
