When an arbitration ruling is broken the user is taken to A/VB and if ruled vandalism, they are banned outright, breaking an arbitration ruling means the escalation skips the two "warning" phases of the escalation system, so Axe would have been banned for a day : D. However, without being told that the ruling was made I think there would have been leeway in an A/VB case, but otherwise.... :D --

Historical Groups

The only problem with the Stats page idea is that it is actually quite easy to fall off the page and then return later. 404 comes to mind in particular, since they were off the page for a good 3-4 months at least and are back now. Issues like that are just in part because they had a number of members disappear for a while, but the group itself never died.

The other big problem with using the Stats page is that it is extremely sensitive (it is even case sensitive). See, that's where you're wrong. The characters themselves, and their designs, are copyrighted to Ubisoft. The image is a new generated image, created by the second company. You know, I got to thinking about it, and how I could explain what I mean differently. I don't know if you're into music or not, but I hope you are for the sake of this example. Go to your musical collection, and grab your favorite album, by your favorite group, so you can see what I'm talking about. Mine is "A Hangover You Don't Deserve" by Bowling for Soup. Now, I'd imagine that, similar to the album I've selected, you have some album artwork in the cover, someplace, like I do. Open the cover, and read it over. Now my music is copyrighted to Bowling for Soup. The album is Copyrighted to Zomba Records. The album art is attributed to Jason Jarik. If I were to use an image from the album, I'd techically attribute the copyrighted album's artwork to Zomba Records, the concept to Bowling for Soup, and say it was courtesy of Jason Jarik in my sourcing of the work. I started playing Urban Dead recently and one of my characters there saw a pk killing 3 survivors in a barricaded NecroTech building. I checked his profile, he's written that he's a member of a player-killing organization called "Extinction" which apparently believes in ruining NT buildings everywhere so that the syringes cannot be produced anymore. It is obvious that the game's developer isn't a psychologist, but he hasn't even put some thought into this issue either, because you just have no protection against player killers. You can barricade the building like crazy keeping the undead outside but then some guy can just stroll in, kill everyone, get himself infected, die inside and ruin the place - which is quite frankly like working for the zombies. Anyway...

I thought I should warn people against (in-character) psychopaths like that instead of watching the building go down in flames. This is the only site I know of, so I created an account here, etc. etc.

I was updating the danger level of the said building ("Purt Building" [9,16] in Roywood) but I noticed that there is no danger level indicator allocated to PK attacks. So I explained the situation and said the building is under attack, which actually stands for 4-10 (or something) zombies outside. But I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do. Do people here change the danger level indicators just for zombie attacks and PK attacks (seemingly) intended for ruining buildings neglected? That's my question.

I've noticed that you're already away of my actions. I mean no harm in anything that I do. I was just editing the wiki to match with how I maintain my territory in game. I don't agree with the UBP for this specific area, as it requires a building of high importance to remain at VSB. I have been maintaining my own EHB policy on the building and figured it'd be best to move the entry point 2 blocks north to Brittan towers. Another thing is that the local RP are dead, and in order to help the local survivors out I decided to open my own personal RP, in which I can maintain myself alone since there aren't a whole lot of survivors in the area. Thanks, I didn't see the link mixed in there. I've made my proposal, so now I just have to wait for some feedback. I see now that the BP didn't call for the MPM to be an entry point. The people of Daubeney must have sprayed that in-game. I still have a problem with the local RP and the BP for a few other buildings in the area. When I said the RP were dead, I didn't mean that zombies looking for revives weren't going to the RPs, it's that no one is monitoring them, so the zombies looking for revives eventually wander off to other RPs in other suburbs. For a "beginner's" guide, it would be nearly impossible to achieve anything original as far as content. Thus that should not, in itself, be a standard for determining a "better guide", or even a good one. In fact, I had not slogged through any of the other opuses, at best only skimmed parts of them, which is what prompted me to create this short(er) one. After over 3 years of intermittent play, I don't have to read the obvious to write about it (or improve on it).

My goal (which I submit I achieved), was a guide that is more focused than ~any~ of those others, and does not try to touch on every basic facet of the game, but only on those to get the newbie to Level 4, w/ Free Running & Construction, which is what a newbie (not every new survivor character, but a newbie) needs to survive while they figure the game out for themselves. Thus it's not about "something new", but "something better" - and if you took the time (ugh) to reread over those older guides, you'd find them all over the map - not what my guide is aiming for.

So, I think the Guide is at least as good, if not better for its stated purpose, as existing "featured" guides, and belongs with them. Rifle

I can get you the necessary iron ingots if you have some patience (10 iron ingots is a _huge_ investment, and I used my own up now for the store and a new spare pickaxe), but I can't afford the slot for a rifle recipe of my own. You should get that recipe anyway, as weapons tend to break. If you have some dollars, then you could meanwhile check out Happy Valley. Not necessarily. There are quite a few of us who've written profile descriptions already. Take the Philosophy Knights for example. At that, there's always cloathing, which usually helps with the generic description. UD Profile Expander

I've been tooling with UDInventory a bit this evening--download a fresh copy and see if it works for you now. There was a bit of a mix-up as to how I was finding the correct place in the HTML to insert the "Expand profiles" link, and I think I've got it cleaned up. Two suburbs can still be very close - it only takes 12 blocks (one character at 9,21 and another at 21,21 for example), which I'd imagine is close enough to trip up. Especially if during your movements, you touched closer but settled again further apart. 03:26, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

I never had the problem before. The ones affected were Axe Hack and DJSpinbad, located in Woolley Grove, Whittenside, and the Roger Arms, Penny Heights, respectively. Although I took an extra precaution to move SomeoneDead (Was at Sears) and the Mudkip (Blackmore) as well. So 12 blocks? I think that has since been extended a bit, it seems. Just a thought. Still think it's possible that in moving them to those places you might have gotten closer before moving apart again, which could be the source of it.
