Hey! Name's Chris. I currently manage two active characters in Urban Dead and have been playing since 2008. I'm hardcore with roleplaying and I love to make my characters as human as possible with full backstories from even before I started playing the game.
The Aleverse
The Aleverse is used to describe how my characters are interconnected with their pasts somehow. For instance, Chris Ferris's Squad Leader in Afghanistan was Killian Ale, who's brother is a police officer in the MPD and helped Leon Deckam in 2007 who met Chris Ferris while he was scavenging who met Killian's brother in the early days of the infection. Complicated? Not really. Just alot of connections. While I keep my characters seperate in the game world as to prevent zerging, I do like making their pasts connected, as it gives them a kind of fate that is controlled by my imagination.
I use the term Aleverse because my first character was Killian Ale, a former Sergeant of the 501st U.S. Army Battalion. I currently manage his brother, Michael Thomas Ale, who is a police officer. Killian is now "dead", with my character Chris Ferris to take his place, yet still Killian Ale is a contral point in the Aleverse. The Aleverse contains some of my friends and my current group, the 501st U.S. Army Battalion. Corinthias is a character owned by a friend of mine who is connected in some way to Chris Ferris, Killian Ale, and Leon Deckam. The Aleverse basically consists of things I created that tie in with things that other people created.
The Eventual Decline of the Aleverse
As my obligations to real life keep me away from Urban Dead and the Wiki, the story and characters of the Aleverse kind of decline into a hazy thin layer of inactivity. I try my best to keep things up, but unfortunately, the 501st, being a military group that requires extreme attention, will be disbanded util someone else decides to get it up and running again. I really don't want to do this, but I must.
The New Lorneverse
A new story arc with the leading character Alexander Lorne, this survivor wakes up with amnesia and is driven by the want to rediscover his memories. Lorne keeps a diary that he found on the body of Chris Ferris, of whom he also took a jacket. On top of this, his brother Jacob, not known to him, is a zombie wandering Malton. This new arc is my primary focus now, and I hope to lead it somewhere.
Groups
I currently run one group, the 501st U.S. Army Battalion. They were formed by Killian Ale and two of my friends, Ryker and Corinthias. It was still a fledgling group when Ryker disappeared and I decided to discontinue my Killian Ale character, so the group was stuck in limbo. six months later, with the creation of my character Chris Ferris, the 501st was ressurected by him and my friend Tyler. Corinthias rejoined and the Trinity of Sergeants was reformed. Now we're just recruiting and rebuilding the things we sort of had going before.
