History

I can't remember much of my childhood. I remember collage, where I became fascinated by werewolves and such. I graduated after majoring in Genetics, and was offered a job overseas at Necrotech. I can't remember my name, I am only identified by the codename on my Necrotech issued dog tags, hence DHRR10

Necrotech

After climbing the corporate ladder, I was placed in charge of a gene therapy experiment, trying to create a way to augment soldiers with increased strength, enhanced senses, etc. I chose to use a wolf's genetic structure as the basis for the experiment, because it had all the traits required. After many theorized attempts at the right formula to change the DNA's basic codon code, we came up with a series of formulas. We tested them on mice (as was standard procedure) with mixed results. There senses and strength had increased, but at the cost of their sanity. We tried so many times, but there was no way the mice could overcome the savage urges of the wolf.

Turning Point

My life changed a year later, after the experiment had been "scrapped". I was working on a new experiment, a way to revive dead tissue, so as to make limb transplants easier (This eventually led to the outbreak). I was walking by an intern's room one night, when I noticed a folder on my intern's desk labeled "Project Wolfbane". It was a project based on my research to create "super soldiers", turning them in to what could only be called werewolves. I was appalled when I found that it was taking place in my old lab, which I thought had been closed down and cleansed. I ran down to the lab, went inside, and was appalled at what I saw. In two cages were the results of the experiment. They were dubbed McR1 and McR2, two wolf men, feral in their cages. As I stared in horror, the intern snuck up behind me, and injected me with the formula. My head spun, but I had enough sense to open the cages. They tore the intern to pieces, and leapt out a window into the night. I stumbled into the cage and passed out.

Search for the Cure

I woke up the next morning inside the cage. I got up, and realized that I still had the research paper in my hand. I ran to the door, locked it, and began working on a cure for what he had done to me. Unbeknownst to me, the outbreak happened just that morning (because we worked with biohazardous material, the doors were thick, which in fact saved me from any zombies outside the door the next day). It was easy to do so, in a theoretical sense, with research in hand and surrounded by the necessary materials. I spent my nights in the cage, which I locked myself into so as to not harm anyone after my transformations into a snarling, bloodthirsty werewolf (sadly, the zombies killed anyone I could possibly "harm"). After days of working on extracting the cure, I (thought) I had it after trying a formula designed to eradicate the "lycan" gene. I waited till night, locked myself in the cage, and waited still. After hours nothing happened, so I unlocked the cage. Suddenly, I grew nauseated. I threw up blood as my ribs expanded, by bones shifted and popped, and my muscles stretched. I lay on the ground, writhing. Finally, the pain stopped, and I expected the ferality to take over. It didn't. I looked at myself in a mirror. In my opinion, I looked pretty cool. I opened my mouth, and spoke. I was glad I could. I looked back at myself in the mirror, and thought, "What the heck. I'm cool with being this, I guess...” I tried to change back, testing if it was possible to will the transformation. It was possible, but in no way complete. I became human again, but I retained my wolf ears, tail, and paws. I opened the window, and leaped outside, onto the grass. I started running nowhere, just trying to get away. I jumped a bit, and realized I could leap at least ten feet in the air. I ran until the Necrotech building was out of site, and tried leaping onto a nearby building.

The DHPD

It was then that I realized the extent of the chaos around me. There was smoke billowing from fires far away. I heard mostly silence, save for the nightmarish moaning of the dead, which seemed to be getting closer. And it was. I saw a man about my age running down the street, followed by zombies. He turned towards an ally between my building and the one adjacent. He ran down and hit a brick wall, and started firing as the zombies closed in. He ran out of ammo for his pistol, and pulled out a fire axe, just I jumped down, grabbed him, and leaped onto the building, just as the zombies closed in. He took one look at me and screamed. He raised his axe and was about to swing when I grabbed his arm, and told him I meant him no harm. "W-What the heck are you?!" he asked as he hesitantly lowered his axe. I didn’t know what to say, so I said what first came to mind, werewolf. I asked him his name, and he answered Amongus. I asked what was going on, and he explained the outbreak and the quarantine. I asked where he was going, and he told me to Dunell Hills. I asked if I could tag along (I realized at that point that I hadn't eaten in days, and claws don't do much when a single bite from a zombie can kill you). He said I could if he could ride on my back ("You're obviously faster, and it will take less time!") I agreed, and we leaped off into the night. That night, I was initiated into the DHPD, and have been like the family pet ever since! My main friends include: The Logue and Heather Cheryl Mason.
