Description

Manya is a small girl, with looks that people might immediately call 'Russian'. Her dyed blonde hair is cut an inch shorter than her shoulders and shows brown at the roots, and is kept only relatively combed. She's probably about 5' 2" and has a distinctly petite build, and a weight to go with it. She tends to wear blue clothing when she can get her hands on it, bundling up in whatever she can steal or find for the winter.

Personality

Though Manya's small on first glance, she makes up for it when she talks. She's very loud, and her words frequently peppered with expletives and general unfriendliness. She's pushy, confrontational, and would probably leave you to die, even if it was with a second thought. She carries around an axe that looks a little big for her, but she manages. She likes to tease people when she thinks it won't hurt anyone, and doesn't take orders well.

If she's in an unfamiliar situation or in over her head she's more likely to shut up, listen, and learn. When she gets used to it though, or if she thinks her time is being wasted or better spent elsewhere, she goes back to her usual self.

Background

Manya's a bitter girl for her young age, extremely mistrustful of everybody she meets. It's no wonder, considering her circumstances. Malton might be considered Hell by all it's common standards, but Manya carries a personal grudge towards both the living and the dead. Like others, she's been ripped apart and eaten alive, only to be brought back to life to do it all over again. Unlike some, she's experienced all kinds of horrors in the company of the living, which she's very firmly put behind her.

Since she escaped the people that'd been keeping her as (pretty much) a slave early in the summer, she's been moving constantly from place to place and stealing what she can to survive. She often wanders out into the streets because she's less likely to run into people there, and she's fast enough to out-maneuver all but the largest groups of zombies. When she does enter into the survivor-owned maze of barricaded islands that most call home, she keeps on guard and tries to keep on her own, learning of at least a couple of different escape routes if she possibly can.

She's not the kind of person you'd like to be stuck with, and she'd think just the same way of you.
