About

Still acclimatizing to the game. It's the first MMO I've done in a while and and the first that involves player interaction on this scale.

Frankly, I find it all terribly interesting. The player interaction that is. The back and forth of strategy between Survivor, Player Killer, and Zombie Groups, and the tactics involved for each of those. The scrambling around when a mob comes to town. The calculation of risk and probability in choosing a place to rest. The waiting for hours on end to get enough AP to do stuff.

The idea of "winning" seems, to me, completely beside the point of the game. It's more like a hobby than a goal.

And as odd as it may seem, my hobby at the moment is simply to support the survivor population. I actually enjoy helping out, and the logistics behind the supplies needed to effectively help the community out. Honestly, I could use a good, laid back hobby like that. It's like tending a garden, except the plants are survivors, the bugs are zombies, and the soil is a fully functioning building.

Philosophy

(That's right. I'm about to inject some pseudo-philosophical bull into a browser based zombie game.)

For me, I (try) to keep a rather open mind about things. I have some foibles about PKing and the like, but I can't honestly say that there's a good, sound reason not to do it (aside from it generally pissing other Survivors off). PKing fits rather nicely into the traditional Zombie genre, and makes things more interesting. The same goes for Bounty Hunting, Death Cults, Life Cults, or what-have-you-cults. I don't really plan to PK myself (that's just not how I get my jollies) and I don't really condone any of this either. I just have other things to do that moan about how other people play the game within the rules. I just don't care, to be honest.

About most of this. Really, the concept of "death" in this world is only as annoying as you let it be. It can take awhile to get a revive, yes, but not too long if you make sure to find an active spot. If you're Dual Life or Zombie player, it barely even affects you. The annoyance of death is simply the price I pay for being alive. Resources are also endless, as is AP. When it comes down to it, the griefs of being PKed, GKed, Combat Revived, infected, etc. are temporary. With time, and patience, everything goes back to normal, no matter what side your on.

I'm just here to play it the way I want to. For fun. I intend to let other people go about their business.

(Well, with exceptions in extreme circumstances, of course. There are rules, after all.)
