Floran Borealis is a veteran survivor.

Prior to the zombie hordes, he was a member of the Malton Fire Department (now hardly affiliated with the current MFD). His current work began in earnest in the suburb of Ruddlebank where he worked along with several members of the now defunct Unamedgroup to defend the famous Sly Police Department and it's neigboring buildings.

After hordes of the undead destroyed the buildings and devoured countless survivors, Floran, having escaped with his life and his Axe headed to a nearby mall and loaded up with guns and ammo. It was there he decided to find structure and joined the "new" Malton Fire Department, where attended the DEM Academy.

While at the Academy, Floran was promoted to Junior Officer and was in charge of First Team (including Panticles, Ha Chan (later switched with Baele), and Ricohard, with Slagg as the AI). All was going well when he suddenly resigned and rejoined the rank and file. He was heard to say something along the lines of: "Just gimme a job to do and I'll do it right. I don't feel like figuring out what EVERYone should be doing."

Upon graduation from the academy, he requested to be placed under Annie Kat (aka Sernya), who was the other Junior Officer and took over the entire command after Floran's resignation.

Soon after graduation, Floran was assigned to Lockettside, District 1, SW division
