November

November 30, 2006

Location: Dorrington Road Rail Station (East Boundwood)

After waking and a light meal, I used the last of my non-drinking water to wash my hands and face before setting out to continue my journey. I've stopped where I'm needed along the way and am resting before being to search for much needed medical supplies and revivification syringes. After a while, I gave up and decided that I'd need to gather more food later on before settling down for the night...

November 29, 2006

Location: the Thompson Building (Chancelwood)

I awoke early to find marching orders, so after a light breakfast and cleaning myself up the best I could, I headed out in the pre-dawn hours. I've been traveling none-stop for a while, pausing to search for supplies. The orders were to move on, so I complied. I hope to be in the designated area shortly but I'm utterly exhausted and have been forced to take a detour for a light meal and a nap...

November 28, 2006

Location: Thynne Walk Railway Station (Roachtown)

I woke early and went scouting for the others; There were three zombies and informed the others before taking any DNA scans of them, reporting my findings to my allies.

"If I was rested enough, I could take them all out -- I have enough shotgun shells..." murmured the sleepy Solemn.

I bid him rest and did like wise; afterwards, I went back into the Haim Building and used the DNA extractor on one to find it was a rotter, a zombie with Brain Rot. I tried to handle the zombie on my own, but to my dismay, I'm not that good a shot. So, once more I retreated and made my report.

"According to my DNA sans, one is a rotter with a flak jacket..."

After my report, I organized my medical bag and rested. I woke to see Solemn returning from the Haim Building.

"Thanks for the info Karen, I had rested enough to drop that one and dump him outside so we're down to two..."

"Oh...you're welcome Solemn..." I murmured, blushing...

After resting in the dark club, I was startled to alertness by banging on the barricades; a zombie made his way inside and the ever curious Deevyde had to get a closer look and was promptly attacked. I hauled him out of the zombie's range and immediately set to tending his wounds.

"Damnation, a break in! I haven't the strength to take him down at the moment, either. Best scatter!" Commanded the orange-coated survivor.

Ohh... I'm so tired...where is a place that is safe that is close by?! I finally headed for the nearby Railway station, after fighting off the zombie inside Club Pearce.

I rested for a while and found that my orange-coat wearing friend was there to when I woke up and he tended to my injuries before I drifted back to sleep...

November 27, 2006

Location: Club Pearce (Roachtown)

I was awakened from a deep slumber hours after I had arrived in a barricaded cinema by gunfire, and saw a man in black military fatigues standing over one of the other survivors that had taken rest in the cinema with me.

"Sorry you had to see that, Karen, but Bicher was a wanted murderer," he apologized.

For a second, I wondered how he knew my name and remembered I had my nametag from my time at St Elisabeth's pinned to my medical bag; but why apologize only to me? Because he had awakened me? Unnerved, I left after resting, not pausing to rest until I entered the Haim building; it was shortly breached by a zombie, so I ventured into the club next door to rest...

November 26, 2006

Location: Mist Cinema (Roftwood)

After my nap, I returned to gathering medical supplies before I made my way out of Pennville in the early hours, heading for the next source of need. I've paused to eat a light meal and rest for a few hours in an abandoned cinema until my next jaunt...

November 25, 2006

Location: Club Barling (Pennville)

I woke in a wasteland, cold and numb. In pain I staggered to my feet and scrambled for the closest safety, a darkened club. My joints hurt, my wounds clotted and scabbed over.

How long was I out? Where was I? It was too my shock I found I had been among the living dead for four days and was in Pennville!

I'm too tired and achy to do much aside from rest. I dozed for a while, waking to have my injuries tended by fellow survivors.

After regaining my strength, I headed to the hospital next door and gathered much needed medical supplies before resting on a cot for a few hours.

November 21, 2006

Location: A factory (Miltown)

After a few hours of rest, I found myself talking with a former FANNY member before I decided to go out on a jaunt to the closest hospital for medical supplies; I returned and rested for a while, only to be awakened by a gun shot. I saw, standing over the body of a nice man that had tended to my wounds, named Deevyde, was a male scientist in lab whites, his cold blue eyes sweeping over the assembled group of survivors; was he looking for another victim?

"Apologies for the disturbance people. Small gangwar going on," he informed us; I was already moving, going to check on the man that had helped me before. With one look at the wounds I knew...

Deevyde was dead. That poor man... His killer vacated the area during my examination.

His body was removed outside and it seems only moments later, the barricades were bashed in; the lead zombie seemed to have a target in mind as he attacked a Knight whom I had been sleeping near. There were more zombies behind the leader and there was chaos in the safehouse.

The Knight had fallen and I was moving to tend to him when his zombie attacker turned his attention to me...

I slugged the zombie in the face with the first thing I'd reached for, my crowbar, but it was a wild swing and was hardly a deterrent... I could hear the scream of the little girl I had been talking to as she was dragged out into the street by a zombie...

No, no, not again... I don't want to--

November 20, 2006

Location: A factory (Miltown)

After a couple hours nap, I ventured out of the railway cautiously and made my way to the Grover Library. The graffiti I put on the wall is still there and I have to repress a giggle. I ventured to the Cartwright Building, where I saw more distasteful graffiti and changed it to something more suitable... I need to find more spray paint though, since I'm down to one can.

I entered Fryerbank, scouting around for more medical supplies -- I managed to find a small amount and some more distasteful graffiti. I changed it to something far more pleasant before running out of paint once more. I really do need to find some more spraypaint when I have the time.

I headed back into Miltown to a safehouse to rest...

November 19, 2006

Location: Ketley Lane Railway Station (Miltown)

I woke up on the street, with zombies standing over me -- one of them was Nicholas. Terror gave strength to my cold, almost immobile limbs and I scurried for safety, finding refuge in the very place where I died.

Shivering in fear, I tend to my wounds the best I could as I hid in a dark corner of the warehouse. Terror and exhaustion caused me to fall into an uneasy doze...

When I woke, I felt somewhat stronger, so I ventured out, overly cautious and fleeing from any buildings that had zombies near it. I finally took refuge in a heavily barricaded abandoned Railway, where I curled up on a bench for a few hours of healing sleep.

November 18, 2006

Location: A factory (Miltown)

I was roused from sleep by banging on the barricades and discovered a member of the Coalition securing the doors; he claims there's a large zombie horde right outside.

I'm nervous, I don't really trust him, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

With that in mind, I went to wake the others. I was shaking Nicholas when I heard a scream from the wounded scientist I had treated last night being dragged into the streets by a zombie.

Terrified, I screamed, hoping to wake Nicholas. I succeeded in getting the undead creature's attention and it attacked me.

I fought and fell from a partially open window onto the fire escape; blind terror over took me and I found myself inside the factory next door. Inside is a survivor and a zombie despite the high barricades.

I took refuge on a catwalk, blocking off the access stairs with crates; I dozed lightly, due to blood loss and woke when I felt someone touch my shoulder. It was a woman in a purple trenchcoat, tending to the worst of my injuries.

I'm so tired...

I went to check on Nicholas and he...he was dead.

I retreated back onto the warehouse's fire escape and was overcome with dizziness from blood loss. Stumbling, I heard the panicked yell of the other survivor in the warehouse -- I didn't go near him earlier as it's my policy to go near streakers.

Concern overriding my embarrassment, I staggered forward and find myself face to face with the zombie that had been swaying.

He was awake.

My fists seem so slow as I try to fight but I'm so tired, so weak...no...not againnn.....

November 17, 2006

Location: the Flinely Building (Miltown)

I came to in a wasteland in the pre-dawn, a zombie swaying peacefully near me, with dead bodies lying near me. A NecroTech Scientist was leaving the area, checking the readings on her DNA extractor. I...I was dead...again.

I shuddered as I stood. The zombie had no interest in me, perhaps another lost soul seeking to return tot he land of the living. I ran to the closest buildings and checked them until I entered an abandoned club and found out I was in Pennville.

Pennville!

I need to be in Miltown aiding my allies.

But...I need to rest first.

The process of being revived has seemingly regenerated most of my more serious injuries, but I'm still exhausted. I found a nice corner to rest in and laid down, praying to get some uninterrupted sleep.

After a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep, I cautious ventured onward towards Miltown until I was forced to rest once more in what appears to be an abandoned apartment building.

After my catnap, I ventured into Miltown -- my scoutings revealed that several buildings were standing with the doors wide open and ransacks. The Grover Library seems safest and I'm told that they are sanctuaries for my allies so perhaps I can wait there for orders.

I dozed off and was awakened by a figure over me, a white mask gleaming in the darkness. There, standing in a bright orange hooded raincoat and wearing a pair of large aviator sunglasses was a man; hanging from a string around his neck was a white mask. Could he be one of them? The allies I've come so far to help?

"Quite a dangerous area, friend." He said as he tended to the worst of the scratches on my forearms. "I'd move up to Fryerbank if I were you."

And then, he was gone. I was crestfallen; finally I found them only for me to be so awestruck that I couldn't speak.

I'm such a silly foolish girl.

But I did as he ordered and retreated back into Fryerbank to a building I knew was safe so that I could rest. While I was there, I saw another of my white-masked allies pass through and I do agree with him, the graffiti there was distasteful and swore to take care of it before leaving for the Fliney Building...and I did.

Failing at stifling a gleeful giggle, I replaced the message with the words:

The Coalition are pansies.

With my artistic endeavor done, I headed out for the Finley Building, where my friend Nicholas was waiting; there was also a young scientist there who needed medical attention. I tended to his injuries before bunking down for the night.

November 15, 2006

Location: the Sherwel Building (Whittenside)

The radio and generator had been destroyed before I left out for Miltown. I've paused to rest and search for medical supplies in St Spyridon's Hospital.

I don't like traveling at night but I'm in a hurry -- there was a request through FANNY for medical aid from an ally and I hate to keep someone in need waiting. My luck searching for supplies was slim so I moved on and have paused for rest in a dark, abandoned night club; I'll be honest, the place gives me the creeps I left as soon as possible, stopping to rest in the motel next door before moving to the abandoned Cinema, then to the pub beside it after I thought I heard a noise inside the Cinema.

After resting, I decided to keep moving and crossed from the suburb of Scarletwood into Whittenside, taking refuge in an abandoned school. I rested shortly before anxiety over took me and I headed out once more despite my exhaustion. I was nervous as I passed through several buildings of varying barricade levels and occupancy.

I paused to for breath, perched in a ransacked building on tall crates stacked against the wall, my back against the wall to watch the small crowd of zombies that were swaying in the pre-dawn light.

Despite my fear, I found myself curious, being unable to remember from before; do zombies have some form of sleep? Is that how they sleep, standing up like horses and cows?

As I mused, I carefully shifted my weight atop the crate when my ankle was suddenly snared and I was yanked off the crate with inhuman strength.

A zombie?!

This one I hadn't seen in the crowd, it must have come into the open building when I was scanning the group.

I fought, panic bubbling in my veins, but when I landed on the floor, I could tell already my landing was wrong and my ankle was twisted. Things are getting blurry as I tried frantically to free myself, the zombie's claws cutting into my arms and sides and teeth sinking into my forearms...

No...

No, I don't want to die again...

November 14, 2006

Location: Titus General Hospital (Kempsterbank)

I awoke and, after a quick breakfast, trekked alone towards Kempsterbank and went through several empty buildings; several had the doors wide open and zombies inside, much to my dismay.

I've paused to rest inside Titus General Hospital, where I hope to find much needed medical supplies before continuing onward...

November 13, 2006

Location: the Abraham Museum (Mockridge Heights)

Nicholas and I woke early to prepare for our departure to Kempsterbank. So far everything seemed nice and lazy, the weather cold but clear, with weak sunlight peeking through the overcast sky. SO long as it didn't rain, sleet or snow, it'd be good traveling weather.

However, today was apparently going to be a bit more exciting; a zombie broke into the Police Department as Nicholas and I prepared to head for the roof and leave for Kempsterbank. Nicholas of course killed it and dumped it's body outside before rebarricading the building.

I received an urgent request via radio concerning wounded in Miltown, so I set off, leaving a message for Nicholas; currently I've paused to rest inside a small Museum next to Anne General Hospital. Many of the buildings around us have had their barricades smashed down and their doors standing open. Zombies loiter around, though the largest group I've seen is three...

November 12, 2006

Location: Robertson Walk Police Dept (Brooksville)

Nicholas and I rested for the most part today; it was a surprisingly quiet day so we rested in a corner, conserving body-heat as we napped for the most part. I'd get up every now and then to head into the hospital next door in order to search for medical supplies; I managed to find some unopened packages of surgical gloves and I put them in my medical bag since my own stash was running low.

Returning to the police department, I checked on the others and since they were fine, I shared a meal with Nicholas and went to sleep early.

November 11, 2006

Location: Robertson Walk Police Dept (Brooksville)

A loud banging woke me to find that the barricades smashed in and zombies breaking into the hospital. The rush to remove the undead invaders cost my fellow survivors their lives. With my fire axe in hand, I swung clumsily at the zombies coming at me; unfortunately, I was snagged by a very determined and well 'old' looking zombie. I shrieked as decaying teeth clamped down on my arm and I feared I might get infected.

My efforts were seemingly futile as I tried to fight the zombies of and I was about to lose hope when a survivor came and beat he zombie off me; I didn't get a good look at his face due to the darkness and my fear. He left after fixing the barricades, leaving the zombies inside the hospital with me.

I fled from the hospital, feeling strength leaving me the entire time; I didn't stop until I was in St. John's Hospital, where I managed to find the antibiotics to cure the infection that I found had set in after being mauled. After resting and a seemingly futile search for medical supplies, I started out to the closest Hospital, which is Matthias General. It was occupied by zombies so now I'm waiting for my strength to come back so I can kick some undead posterior out of that hospital! I'm tired of running!

I got a call on my mobile phone from Nicholas -- he's waiting back at St John's so I decide to join him; later, we got uneasy and headed into Robertson Walk Police Dept.

We can rest and head out to Kempsterbank in the morning...

November 10, 2006

Location: James General Hospital (Shore Hills)

I woke to hear that Caiger Mall has fallen, as well as Curle Street Police Department and the Flowar Building right beside us. After a scare breakfast, I decided to head out and begin scouting and stocking up on medical supplies.

All the hospitals I've seen thus far have been ransacked by zombies, the doors wide open; its very disheartening and the zombies almost seem to be celebrating. I paused to rest inside the highly barricaded Crawley Auto Repair; there I nibbled on a power bar and napped before I continued on to James General Hospital. By that time, the sun had set and I was tired enough to curl up on an empty cot...

November 9, 2006

Location: Cottam Way Police Department (West Becktown)

I woke early and forgoing breakfast, made my way to Cottam Way Police Department, where I found Nicholas. He's hurt - so are many of the Police Department's occupants, it seems from fighting off the horde of zombies that surround Caiger Mall and lurk in the neighboring suburbs.

I'm still so tired, so I'll rest, then make a run to St. Werburgh's Hospital for supplies to properly treat their injuries; St. Lazar's was over run by zombies, the doors wide open and the building ransacked.

I rested inside the Police department for a while, tending to what injuries I could with my limited supplies before making my way to St. Werburgh's Hospital through the Flowar Building, where I found a NecroTech Syringe.

I believe this is what was used to revive me. It was then I decided that I must learn how to use them, to save others who had been in my similar state.

Inside the hospital, the power flickered while I frantically searched for medical supplies -- luck was not with me, since I barely found enough to begin treatment on Nicholas and other survivor.

I returned o the police department and treated Nicholas and the other survivor before deciding to rest, then go looking again. After a scare supper, I leaned against the wall beside Nicholas and drifted off into a restless doze...

November 8, 2006

Location: A Junkyard (West Becktown)

Once more I dove into the middle of chaos, this time not only dispensing medical aid, but with my fists and knife as well. Everything was hectic, the waves of survivors running to and fro, shouting commands at one another; it's hard to think, so I focused on patching up the wounded even though I don't even remember the faces nor names of those I took care of.

I'm exhausted as I retreat from the Mall and completely out of medical supplies. Perhaps its time for me to move southward?

I had nodded off after cleaning my medical equipment and the worse stains off my clothing; I woke to find one of my fellow survivors dead and the doors to the street standing wide open.

Fearful, I secured the doors and decided to leave -- Nicholas and I plan to meet up so we can plot the course of our route to South-Eastern Malton, pausing only to rest in this heavily barricaded junkyard...

November 7, 2006

Location: Bernard Towers (Chudleyton)

I'm in the thick of things today, waking early and tending to the wounded inside Caiger, but its so confusing due to the crowds of people, I can barely hear the calls of the wounded over the conversations of others; I look forward to this being over soon because it seems whenever I turn around there are zombies slipping in and out of the building, the barricades fluctuating between secured and extremely heavily barricaded.

After this, Nicholas and I have agreed to head towards South-Eastern Malton -- I will be able to gain plenty of experience, and perhaps learn how to use the NecroTech technology on the way.

And Kempsterbank has six hospitals, so I can stock up on medical supplies.

I've scouted inside the Mall and there's currently twenty-five zombies inside the barricades. I stopped back inside the Tynte building to rest and organize my medical supplies when I heard an awful racket -- it was a zombie and it's broken down the barricades, entering the building! I closed the doors, but the zombie's still inside and the others seem to be in a deep sleep, exhausted from helping defend the Mall.

I turned to see if the others are away when I heard the door open again -- now two zombies are inside and the doors to the street are standing wide open! I have to warn the others and get to safety, but I'm so tired; my outcry of warning was so weak, did they even hear me? I stumbled and fell as I tried to find a hiding place, knocking myself out.

When I came to, I saw the barricades up and one of the zombies killed. Now three zombies inhabit the building with us and my head is spinning.

Despite my dizziness, I press on and scramble for safety, arriving inside Bernard Towers, where darkness overcame me...

November 6, 2006

Location: The Tynte Buildingy (Chudleyton)

In the early hours, I drifted in the realm between sleep and wakefulness, the sound of the radio broadcasts permeating my consciousness. I could hear as the Oxley Building and Whippey Place Fire Station were over run by mobs of zombies, perhaps part of the attack on Caiger Mall. Not long after I had awakened and grabbed my pack, the mods attacked St Lazar's -- I and my fellow survivors were attacked and several killed, dragged into the streets by the members of the undead group.

I retreated, heading for Caiger, knowing that the welfare of the others mattered over mine, that they needed the medical supplies I carried. I looked in on the inhabitants of Caiger and a survivor calling himself A Monkey's Uncle tended to my injuries before I entered the Tynte Building to rest. A military man calling himself Leit tended to my injuries when I woke from my healing rest.

Now I need to venture into the mall and see how the others are doing after an hour or so of rest...

November 5, 2006

Location: St Lazar's Hospital (West Becktown)

The sound of the radio going all night kept me in a light sleep; I was up with the dawn and found that things are heating up at Caiger.

I'm bouncing between Eden Library and the Mall itself to scout and heal -- I saw Nicholas, looking exhausted and sporting a nasty bite wound. I patched him up before retreating to Eden to report my findings.

Everyone's so tired and we're fighting off a horde of over two-hundred zombies trying to breach the South-Eastern corner of the mall. I've been spending so much time healing that I'm running low on medical supplies and after tending to a trio of survivors called zizanie13, stavkat, and fighter22, that I had to make a run back to St Lazar's, which is the closest hospital to the Mall to restock on supplies.

After a futile search, I collapsed, exhausted, on a cot.

November 4, 2006

Location: Eden Library (Chudleyton)

Waking later then I normally do, I went through my supplies and found I'd need to scavenge for more food soon as well as do some laundry the next time it rained and I was in a powered building with a mostly functional kitchen; I really needed to properly clean and sterilize my equipment and bandages.

I left St Lazar's after a brief search for more medical supplies, going to the roof to try out the new method of travel Nicholas described to me. Looking around I noticed the rope bridges connecting the buildings together, strung up by some enterprising survivors; some of the fire escapes were close enough to jump from one to another if one was skilled enough. After securing my pack and medical bag, I said a prayer and approached one of the rope bridges.

It was...different, that's for certain, all at once exhilarating and terrifying. I had to pause several times to get my bearings, unused to traveling by rooftop but I made it to Caiger Mall in record time.

Currently there are zombies inside the mall, being forced out by the survivors inside and I retreated to the Eden Library to see about setting up a medical clinic but I think it might be a command post already.

I ventured back into the Mall after a late lunch, checking on the survivors' wellbeing and found a shotgun shell and spraycan.

Once I was back in the library I found a book to read in what free time I have. Curling up on a makeshift cot, I drifted off into a light, uneasy doze...

November 3, 2006

Location: St Lazar's Hospital (West Becktown)

I woke in the early morning hours to find my friend Nicholas had made his way to Whippey and he was in need of medical help. Immediately I took care of his injuries and he told me he didn't know how he got here -- that the last thing he remembered before waking up outside was his area of defending Caiger Mall being over run with zombies.

While we talked, he told me of a technique he'd been using to pass between the heavily barricaded buildings around Caiger; I make mental note to try it out myself later on.

After I had tended to him, I noticed I'd need more medical supplies if I was to help out large amounts of wounded around Caiger Mall and decided to head over to St Lazar's Hospital.

There was a zombie lurking outside and I jabbed it a few times with my knife before hurrying inside -- finding medical supplies are more important then the zombie.

My searching proved futile, so I curled up on a cot after eating a sparse dinner...

November 2, 2006

Location: Whippey Place Fire Station (West Becktown)

The day was cloudy and cold and after a small breakfast, I healed a panicked survivor called CaptainBlack666, bringing him back to near full health.

I'll need to make a run to a Hospital for more medical supplies. With that in mind, I ventured outside, heading for the hospitals only to find them too heavily barricaded to enter. So, I scouted around and at the Caddick Monument, was a lone zombie.

It seemed...well...asleep.

So...Feeling a bit daring, I attacked.

I kept missing -- I'm not very skilled with a knife but I seem to do better with it then my fists -- but I did land a few hits. It seems to have been attacked before as there were signs of injuries.

I scampered back to Whippey Place before it 'woke up' so to speak since I was feeling tired and cold. Curling up in a corner under my blanket, I wondered what the next day would hold...

November 1, 2006

Location: Whippey Place Fire Station (West Becktown)

I awoke in the Glastonbury Motel to see something I never thought I'd witness -- one survivor slaying another. A man calling himself Calcer had killed a survivor called Shantzy while the victim rested. It appears there are more threats then from the zombies that seek to devour us.

After resting holed up in a room and silently debating, I decided it would be safer if I headed out to scout around Caiger. All the surrounding buildings are so heavily barricaded I couldn't enter and there was a massive horde of over 200 zombies outside the Latrobe Building.

I found shelter in Whippey Place Fire Station and am resting so I can make another jaunt out to see if there are any survivors needing help. After a bit of rest, we were informed a Zombie was standing outside the Fire Station.

Curious and feeling a bit braver now since I've taken on a zombie before, I stepped outside and jabbed it a few times with my knife before scurrying back inside. I feel...bold. Stronger. I like it...

There was a surge of confidence as I prepared to rest for the night...
