I am planning on making a cross Malton trip to update and repair the poorly maintain cell towers and their pages. This is my story.

June 20th 2009

I've reached New Arkham from my home in Greentown, suburb is under attack, I located the cell tower in the Parr building, it is ruined and full of zeds. I met up with a small group of survivors to rest a bit before attempting to retake and fix the cell tower. I'm fully aware that many of the cell towers that I fix maybe ruin only a day or two later, but in order of survivors to end the zombie plague we must communicate.

June 22nd 2009

The last thing I remember is passing out in the Court Building with four other survivors I'd met up with. I could hear the banging of zeds at the door but I was just so tired I couldn't bring my self to move. I woke up today in the middle of Foulkes Village I could smell death all around me, where did the last two days go? Heading back down to New Arkham to try and get the Parr building back online, but the whole areas crawling with zeds, ruined and overcaded buildings.

June 25th 2009

I've spent the last few days hiding in ruined buildings in New Arkham. I've been inside the Parr building a few time, but the number of zeds in and around it makes my efforts moot. I am beginning to think my idea was foolish, at least alone. I will continue my work.

June 28th 2009

Things are looking up I have managed to get the Parr building repaired from its ruined state. I am there with two other survivors. I am planning on making the repairs in the morning. I didn't see any zeds in the area while repairing the building, I noted other surviviors across the street in the fire station. Looking out across from the roof I can see they have finished their cades but no lights on yet.

June 29th 2009

1:59am

Oh God there were so many of them... the zeds I think they were waiting for us... 10 or 15 of them begain to smash at our cades, there groans only drew more and more. The broke through killing my fellow survivors. I retreated deeper into the building, I can hear them ruining the build, I'm so tired, all I can here is their groans, maybe I just hide in this closet... ill get some rest... hiding...

10:23am

I woke to find the zombies gone, maybe it was all just a bad dream... but the building is ruined and my fellow survivors are gone, but their is blood, so much blood. I am sure it was all a dream. I repaired the building, installed a generator and got the phone mast up and running. How long it will stay that way I don't know, nor do I expect it to be long, nevertheless my work is done in New Arkham. 1/100 cell masts repaired. I am off to Old Arkham.

June 30th 2009

10:09am

I moved quickly through Old Arkham to the phone mast at the Flambert Motel. Moving around the suburb is much easier because of the large survivor presence. I found the Flambert Motel in good repair and well caded, I had to reach the mast from the roof of the fire station next door. The mast need only small repairs and the genny was running low. I fueled the genny and am planning on moving on to the next mast. 2/100 cell masts repaired.

1:33pm

I made my way out of Old Arkham without a problem the streets are empty and I noticed that almost all the building are caded and full of survivors. I entered Spicer Hills just after noon. The going here is much tougher, small groups of zeds are in the steets and a number of buildings were under attack by groups of two or three. I had a hard time getting into a building, survivors are building better cades because of the zed activity. Located the cell mast on top of the Waters Building, but I couldn't find a way inside. Moved deeper into the suburb met up with a group of survivors, who were nice enough to share some food and take shifts watching the cades through the night. All this traveling, I am in due need of rest.

June 31th 2009

3:37am

I was awoken tonight by the screams of a woman, I looked out to the streets and saw zeds attacking the Street Building. The cades were down and they had pull a women out into the street. I grabbed my axe and jumped across to the roof. By the it I reached the street it was to late the demons had taken her. I fixed up the cades to protect the two other survivors sleeping in the building, how could they sleep through the screams? I couldn't go back to sleep so I made my way across the roofs to the Waters Building where the phone mast is located. I caded it as best I could and spent most of the night installing a genny and getting the cell mast up and running. From what I've heard this is the last safe suburb I'll be in for a while, I think I will be resting here gathering my strength and supplies. 3/100 cell masts repaired.

July 1st 2009

I am moving around Spicer Hills, looking in different building for another genny, I installed my last one to get the Waters Building up and running. I am going to spend the night in an abandon factory. This place is full of old machines and the cades were already up, I came in through the roof, I think there a good chance I can get a genny out of one of the machines. I am gonna spend the night in the managers office on the third floor.

July 2nd 2009

2:18am

I woke to the sound of my door being smashed in, my axe was in hand, I rose to confront the incoming zeds. That's when I heard the crack, and saw the flash. The pain was intense, I'd never been shot before. I saw his wrinkled old face, as he let off the rest of his clip. Some crazed old man with a gun. Why shoot at me? My axe wasn't going to help me, my only options was the window, so I jumped. The ground sure sneaks up on you quick.

July 3rd 2009

I don't know how long I lay in the street, I don't know how the fall didn't kill me. I woke in an old bar with another survivor, a girl she said that she found me in the street so she dragged me in here and fixed me up the best she could. I think one of my legs is broken, I'm gonna try and get to a hospital, maybe theres still a doctor or two around because from what I know of medicine I'm not gonna be able to set this bone myself. What the hell was with that guy? This really puts a damper on my plans. All this and I still need to track down a genny.

July 8th 2009

I spent a few days in Chudley Row Fire Station. Found a retired firefighters who had some medical skills. He set my leg and made me a splint. This is really gonna slow me down, but I feel that it is starting to heal already. During my rehab I tracked down a new genny in the abandon factory where this all begain. Managed to work my way out of Spicer Hills while I was looking for a hospital. I found Williamsville's cell mast in the Clayton building. The building was in good condition and the caded were solid. It only took me three hours or so to get the mast back on line. 4/100 cell masts repaired.

July 9th 2009

Crossed just over the boarder of Williamsville into Buttonville. There are zeds all over the streets of Buttonville and alot of the building is the center of the suburb are ruined. I am moving slowly along the boarder of Williamsville where there are more survivors and most of the buildings are online. I think I can see the cell mast on an abandon warehouse, but that is in the center of a good size mass of zeds. Looks like I'll be fighting my way to this one.

July 10th 2009

Hooked up with a group of ex-military guys they said they got dropped into this mess, they said there were ten of them. With me, the group was four. The four of us cleared a path through the streets all the way over to the warehouse with the cell mast. I told them that I didn't know how long getting the building back online would take. They were sweeping the suburb to try and break up the zed clusters, told me that they would be back, I'm not counting on it. They helped me get where I need to go, so I can't fault them. The warehouse was a mess, I begain repairing the building working my way to the office where the cell controls were. I could hear movement from the top floor. Listening to the patterns I could tell that it wasn't a survivor, gripping my axe I moved in. I brought the zed down with two swift blows to the back of the head, must have been injured to good down so quickly. As carefully as I could, I dumped the remains into the street and began cading the building. I had only a little daylight left so I got to work on the cell tower. Before I crashed out for the night the cell tower light was blinking defiantly against the night sky. The last time I slept alone in a building some madman attacked, not sure how safe I feel, but my leg hurts to much and I'm to tired to move on tonight. 5/100 cell masts repaired.

July 15th 2009

Still in Buttonville. Spent most of the begining of the week looking for new gennys. I was fully stocked up and planning on moving on into Wyke Hills, but I came across a large group of survivors trying to repair Buckley Mall. I couldn't just let them work on with out help so I installed the two gennys that I had found to get their lights back online. Now I am off to find new gennys. ::Sigh::

July 17th 2009

Yesterday was a good day, I managed to track down two, gennys in the same building, in only a manor of hours. On top of that I meet up with another survivor, he helped me with the generators, but it also turned out that he was a doctor before the outbreak. He looked at my leg and told me that I could take the splint off if I was careful, and that he was suprised how quickly I heal. I told him what my mission was, but he couldn't help cause he was heading back to Buckley Mall. Today seems to be flying by, with my leg back on the mend I made quick progress into Wyke Hills which does not seem to be as damaged as expected. Using mainly roof tops I quickly gain entry into Hitchens Towers. The building was in good order and when I reached the top floor found that neither the mast or the generator were damaged, the only reason it was off line was for lack of fuel. I gased it up and checked the cades. All is well, plan on moving on in the morning. 6/100 cell masts repaired.

July 18th 2009

9:45am

Crossed over the boarder of Wyke Hills into Hollomstown this place is crawling with zeds. I stayed mostly on the roof tops and made my way into the The Roddoway Building found things in good repair even with the zed activity. Made a few minor repairs and am planning on moving on to Danversbank today. I feel good and there still alot of day light. 7/100 cell masts repaired.

11:38pm

Made it over into Danversbank around noon. There are a ton of zeds in the area, but not to many of them were active. The suburb is pretty chaotic, building ranging from totally ruined to powered with people inside. Reached the Barrow Building nothing really in the area. Building was full of people, more then I'd seen in a long time. The lights were off due to the build lacking a genny. Installed the genny, and fix the cell tower. Plan on sleeping here. Strength in numbers. 8/100 cell masts repaired.

July 19th 2009

Quickly and quitely entered Whittenside, this place is a mess. The bodies of survivors are all over the streets, a horde must have moved through here quickly. 95% of the buildings are ruined, I reached the Sherwel Building, is was trashed. Table and chairs were smashed away from the doors where the horde made their entrance, a few bodies of fallen survivors still guard the stairs leading to the roof, they must have put on a good show, their weapons and ammo are gone. I must not be the first through the building since its fall. Reaching the roof I found the cell tower was in about the same shape as the suburb. I felt like I was wasting my time here, knowing that with no defenders the building would be destoryed again in hours. I install the genny, feuled it closed the doors on the building as best I could and moved on. My fate will not be that of the last defenders. The suburb is to hot to try and track down new generators, so I'm heading north to find a safer suburb to restock before heading into Miltown. 9/100 cell masts repaired.

July 28th 2009

I should have killed myself. I had the gun in my mouth, but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I got bit. Bad. About a week ago. I died a few hours later, I felt my life drain out of my body, but when everything went black it didn't stay that way. Things of the last week are cloudly at best, I walked with the dead, I fought my bases to feed, I don't know how well my efforts were. I came back to the light yesterday. Living through the walk of death makes my desire to continue this work all the more resolute. I will regain my strength and continue.

July 29th 2009

During all the chaos of the last few days I lost track of a lot of things, mainly my location. I thought I was still in the northern part of Pennville, but after speaking with a few people it became clear that I had traveled a ways and was now in the southern part of Miltown. Looking along the horizon I noticed the boarder wall, the guns on top of the wall were outside of my line of sight, but they were there, everyone knows that. Talking with one women I found that I was not far from the factory that held the cell tower for the burb. However, she told me that two nights ago had come under heavy attack and she fled when the cades fell. I hit the streets to see for myself. The suburb is in chaos I had to move quick as to not attract attention from the hordes. I found the factory, hers info correct, I found the building trashed and full of zeds. I moved in, brought one down then retreated to another building to try and gather support of liberating the factory.

July 30th 2009

With the help of three other survivors we retook the factory during the night. It didn't take much to talk them into helping me as they were part of the factory's defenders during the zombie attack a few day earlier. My comrades got the barracade back in order while I installed a new genny and got power back online for the building. The cell mast was up and working by noon. They said that they were planning on holding the building for a while so hopefully the cell tower will stay online for a while. I've gone as far east as I can go, now I will head north a bit then back south. 10/100 cell masts repaired.

July 31st 2009

Quickly moved out of Miltown north into Fryerbank. I was suprised to see in just two blocks there were three police station, but very few survivors holding the cades of those building. I reached the Underdown building to find the building undercaded and lacking power. I entered repaired the cades, installed a new genny and fueled it. I was moving along the roofs heading west to the next cell tower. I don't know where the tower is in Pennville, so I need to find some survivors to gather information. 11/100 masts repaired.

August 1st 2009

Cleared Fryerbank and moved into Pennville. Meet another survivor, he told me that the mast was in St. Gall's church. Reached the church, repaired the building, installed and fueled the genny, and prayed for strenght. 12/100 masts repaired.

August 2nd 2009

Things are going really well in my misson. Crossed into Scarletwood seems that the suburb is being taken back by groups of survivors from the zeds, slowly, but it's happening. I found the cell mast on top of the Bentley Hotel, the buildings doesn't seem tall enough to get a good signal, but I repaired it as best I could, fixed the cades and left the building. There were no other survivors in the building, so I hope that the light bring more then zeds to the building. My legs holding up well, only cause me pain during the change in weather. 13/100 masts repaired.

August 3rd 2009

I was in and out of East Grayside today. The cell tower in the Cousins building was well maintained. I refueled the genny, fixed a few wire and I was on my way to the next tower. My plan was to reach the next building then try and clear two buildings tomorrow. 14/100 masts repaired.

August 4th 2009

Last night I got a rare treat, another survivor had a radio with him. I spent the night listening to the military channal. I found out that most of the suburbs that lay in front of me are under survivor control, which is a good sign for me. Hopefully it won't take another three week to clear five suburbs. Crossing the boarder of East Grayside into West Grayside was no problems, the suburbs not terribly active so I spent most of the time in the streets. Tracked down the tower in the Statham Auto Repair building. The building was well caded so I had to spend some time finding a entrence. When I got in I found the cell tower in working order, except that there was no genny or fuel. I fixed the problem and moved on. There was still a lot of daylight left so I thought I would move on to the next suburb. I entered into Kinch Heights and moved through a number of building trying to find to a building where I could pull some gennys out of the old machines. As of now I have been unable to get another genny. 15/100 masts repaired.

August 5th 2009

Spent all day today working in some random factory in Kinch Heights. I would think that all my skills with cell towers would help with tracking down new gennys, but it doesn't. I spend most of the time just wondering around the factory looking for machines that I think I might be able to get a genny out of. All in all it took me over 18 hours working to pull two gennys out of their machines. Plan on getting back to work tomorrow. Still need to track down extra fuel... shit.

August 7th 2009

Things couldn't keep going well forever, its just the story of my life. I spent most of yesterday and almost all of today in the the Eden Museum working on the cell tower to get it back up and running. It was dusk, but I had spent all day inside so I wanted to get out and strech my legs a bit so begain heading east trying to get into Dartside, my mistake was moving along the roofs of building. I should only do that during the day or in areas where the zeds are active, it was neither of those. I couldn't see the hole in the roof of the building that I was jumping to. Now I have to find a hospital because I may have rebroke my leg. I hope not, but it feels like it...

  • Taking a break for a while things are to crazy in my life to keep updating right now, but plan to get back to it*
