Suggestion page

A word about voting on the suggestions page: If you believe suggestions have merit, but should be changed in some way, the appropriate vote is "kill" not "keep." You are voting on the merits and form of the situation as it is written. Not trying to be condescending, just trying to give you a heads up. --Mookiemookie 18:51, 30 April 2006 (BST)

Thanks for the heads up. I've changed my votes and said why Krazy Monkey 18:57, 30 April 2006 (BST)

Don't feed the trolls! --Gilant talk|DEM 18:42, 2 May 2006 (BST)

Ok, whats Trolling anyway? Sorry I'm pretty new to this kind of thing. Krazy Monkey The Randoms 20:57, 2 May 2006 (BST)
Sorry. I was referring to your post about the continued debate in vandalism. Some people argue just to hear their own voices, and others like to post things that are obviously inflammatory just to get a response. Like a fisherman trolls for fish, they troll for replies, the more heated the better, with posts as bait. I find it better for everyone when a small group of them go off debating each other about something completely irrelevant. It keeps them busy and out of everyone else's hair, and make them happy. win-win. --Gilant talk|DEM 19:26, 6 May 2006 (BST)

Surgery

Thanks for the new ribbon!!! --Gilant talk|DEM 19:26, 6 May 2006 (BST)

No probs. Krazy Monkey 20:30, 6 May 2006 (BST)

Hi!

I made those ribbons look 3d. Is it ok for you?

User:Nox_777

Thanks

If new ribbons would show up, please tell me.

--Nox 10:13, 9 May 2006 (BST)

Hi! Replacment...

Hey! I need to get permission first.... Am I alowed to remove your Ribbons and replace them with 3D Ribbons?

--Nox 11:49, 10 May 2006 (BST)

I only designed the Surgery one so you can remove that one. Ask on brainstock to find out who made the others. Krazy Monkey 12:18, 10 May 2006 (BST)

Hey Monkey Man =

Hey! How are you? I was really bored since you abandoned me on MSN, so I popped across to make a random post on your talk page. I sent Theye an e-mail about those forums, so we'll see whether he wants it or not. I said if he was still running the merry medics in June, I'd look into making him some new forums.

New ribbons.

Hey!

Could you make some ribbons that fit to Ankle Grab and Lurching Gait skill. I know it is Zombie skills, but it is used by many humans, too. So.... I will make them 3D --Nox 14:18, 18 May 2006 (BST)

Zombie ribbon

You can't make zombie ribbons for DEM. Then you will have to make it to other clans. I was only requesting some human zombie useful skill for DEM --Nox 13:49, 24 May 2006 (BST)

Wirecutters?

The big bastards are good for cutting metal, and are the only item we currently have that would allow you to do that without damaging what's inside a generator. –Xoid STFU! 14:06, 2 June 2006 (BST)

Be careful

Check out what you just accidentally did... you need to make sure, that when you open the edit window, that the entire page is in there. It happens to me a lot as well. Cyberbob  Talk  21:37, 14 July 2006 (BST)

I know, I was trying to revert it but you got there first. -- Krazy Monkey W! 21:38, 14 July 2006 (BST)
Ah. :-P Cyberbob  Talk  21:40, 14 July 2006 (BST)
I'll be more careful in future. I'm trying to rewrite the suggestion and resubmit it. -- Krazy Monkey W! 21:41, 14 July 2006 (BST)

Welcome

Thanks for the "Welcome" and the benifet of the doubt. I actually have benn playing for about 4 months, and didn't really need a welcome, but thanks anyway. I just wanted to give some peopel a reason to laugh. I'm sorry. P.S. I should have only got 1 warning, i stopped the bogus votes after the 1st warning, but a different mod mus have seen them b4 they were all struk. I put a real vote below all the ones i vandalised, to make it up to you guys. The 2nd warning is fine, as long as i don't get a 3rd... Then, that should count as my 2nd warning. ty!! cya!! --Poopman9 23:35, 30 July 2006 (BST)

Re: Ruling

Part 1- Case Discussion Started by Xoid

A very poor decision. Had you come to it any other way but basing it solely on guidelines that are allowed to be overruled by arbitration cases, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. –Xoid STFU! 16:08, 8 August 2006 (BST)

Thank you. It takes a real man/mature man to give the correct ruling even though he may not agree with it. I was wrong to doubt you and I appreciate your decision on the surface as the group appreciates from the shadows. Hopefully this will keep Banana Bear from clogging up multiple pages. No suprise Xoid disagrees. He acts like a wiki Nazi. Group pages are to be used by the Groups themselves - not their enemies. Again, thanks Legend X 16:46, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Captain Oblivious, to the rescue. Why am I not surprised? As I said: any semblence of logic whatsoever would've been acceptable in my eyes. "The rules say so" isn't a very good one. If the rules said that using a vowel was a bannable offence, would he have stuck by that? In case you haven't noticed, the rules around here are ambiguous at best, and at worst, penalise those who aren't doing anything wrong. It's not that far of a stretch. –Xoid STFU! 16:56, 8 August 2006 (BST)
I do things my way, you do them yours. However in this case I agreed with Legend X as he isn't required to keep an archive as he is the owner of the page, you would probably argue the same if you were him. If the rules said that using a vowel was a bannable offence, would he have stuck by that? Now you are just being mean. -- Krazy Monkey W! 17:01, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Actually, I wouldn't argue the same. Perhaps you haven't seen my archive. When the next lot is archived it'll be well near the 500Kb mark. Regardless, this isn't about me disagreeing with your decision so much as how you came to it. For the record: I was not being mean. Believe it or not this is me when I'm friendly. I was pointing out the rather obvious flaw with using an argumentum ad verecundiam. Nothing less, nothing more. –Xoid STFU! 17:18, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Xoid how can you honestly call yourself a moderator and/or an arbitrator when you are clearly biased? People are so sick of you on the wiki, not just me. You are a bully. I'm done. Legend X 21:07, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Read the list of arbitrators. I'm not on it. Two: moderators are not beholden to you and your incessant whining. People are sick of you on the wiki, not just me. You are an idiot. Of course, you'll come back and say something, despite the fact that you are "done", won't you? –Xoid STFU! 14:04, 9 August 2006 (BST)

Part 2 - Discussion Started by Banana Bear

Mr. Monkey, Banana Bear here. I've got a few questions for you, before I jump into the above mess-storm. One, I was wondering if your suggested course of action following your ruling, was in fact, a suggestion, or part of the ruling. Secondly, I would like to know your reasoning for the Ruling and following suggestions. The last bit about REing here I quite agree with, but the other bits I'd like to here more about. Thank you. -That's Why I did your Wife 23:26, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Ok. The two points I made about you not posting on the BME Talk Page and you and Legend avoiding each other are part of the ruling. (BTW I've just noticed that I forgot to say that your ban on posting on the BME Talk Page was for a month, not forever. I'll change that now.) I strongly suggested that BME keep an archive as it will prevent something like this happening again. I'm not going to force them as it is their page so ulitmately up to them but I strongly advised it. I dont agree with their selective deletion of comments however according to the Wiki Guidelines it is their page so it is up to them to do with it what they will. It's my first arby case so I've stuck to the guidelines and this seems to me to be the best course of action. I also thought that your persistant comments on the talk page about archiving were a bit too far. I think just once would have be sufficent because at least then you have given them the option and left the ball in their court. -- Krazy Monkey W! 23:36, 8 August 2006 (BST)
A few points I know bring up Mr. Monkey, reading from top to bottom, I find it curious, the selective adherence to the guidelines, while there is no rule saying an archive must be kept, there is no rule saying for the following month I must refrain from posting on aforementioned talk page. Do you see the lack of distinction here? I understand that it must be difficult, with it being your first time and all, but I feel that if you believed that archiving on that page would solve this problem, rather than just suggest it, you should rule it. That really is what arbitration is for no? Settling disputes not covered clearly by the intentionally minimalist guidelines? You were right when you said I did not have the power to force anyone to keep an archive, but you do.
As for my persistence with comments, I suppose I may have gone overboard, but can you imagine the frustration at attempting to start a dialogue, and finding you were talking to the wall, then watching one's peers suffer the same fate, while the whole of the wiki seems to be designed to favor cooperation, to watch someone so willfully refuse it? Perhaps you are right though, perhaps.
In the end, though I disagree with your choice, I'll go with what you say in the end, thank you for your time and effort trying to resolve our issues.
Ok, thanks for accepting my decision. As I said it was my first try and I'll learn from the experience. I do understand what you are saying and I would be pretty annoyed if I were in your position. -- Krazy Monkey W! 23:50, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Thank you Mr. Monkey, for putting thought into all this. I still think that you could ammend your ruling to properly enforce what you deem the best course of action, though if you do prefer to just seperate the parties in question, and let things work out on their own in that time, or not, thats your decision. -That's Why I did your Wife 23:56, 8 August 2006 (BST)
Banana Bear - he ruled already. You can't come to our page and bother us and we don't have to archive. Live with it and stop trying to change his mind after the fact. God you have no respect or dignity. Go find another group page to vandalize and spam. Legend X 13:49, 9 August 2006 (BST)
Legend X - he has already said that he accepts the decision made, dispite disagreeing with it. Insulting him will only cause more problems. - HerrStefantheGreat 14:06, 9 August 2006 (BST)
You are right. I am done talking to him or about him. Legend X 19:26, 9 August 2006 (BST)
Legend you have broken a condition of the ruling and it has been reported as vandalism. The report is here. -- Krazy Monkey W! 23:06, 9 August 2006 (BST)
For what it is worth, Legend X deserved this. He accepts it. I think Banana Bear goaded him into it but that's neither here nor there. I agree with Krazy's moderation on the whole situation and am glad Banana Bear won't be back spamming our page but I want to let everyone know that Legend X appreciates everyone's effort and is sorry for letting his temper get the best of him. I and a few others will be mods at BME's page until his return next week. Thanks for being fair Krazy Octi 1 19:17, 10 August 2006 (BST)

DEM Supporter

We've had a request for a DEM Supported/Ally type template that includes the user/group under a subcategory. Basically something very similar to the MFD/MCDU/etc member templates but for non-members that want to visibly express support. Strategic Partners (groups) are already under the DEM category. Anywho, I was hoping you might be able to tackle this request? --Gilant talk|DEM 19:48, 3 September 2006 (BST)

lol Show you how active I am myself these days. =/ But thank you very much for helping! --Gilant talk|DEM 19:52, 3 September 2006 (BST)

Yeah, they're awesome suggestions, and it irks me that no one is really giving REASONS for killing it or offering improvements. Some of those have been keeping me up at night, bouncing around in my head. Waffles 22:40, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
