Over the course of the last several months I've sat down with some of Malton's best and most notorious leaders and asked them 24 questions. These interviews took place before the latest update but I feel their insights into the city of malton are both fun and something that can teach us all about leadership in Malton. This is a 46 part feture that I plan on posting here once a week...so sit back and relax as I introduce you to the leaders of Malton.

Over the course of the last several months I've sat down with some of Malton's best and most notorious leaders and asked them 24 questions. These interviews took place before the latest update but I feel their insights into the city of malton are both fun and something that can teach us all about the leadership in Malton.

In honor of the Big Bash which has brought us all so much enjoyment over the last stretch of the game (and some would argue had something to do with the new update) I've decided to kick things off with Murray Jay Suskind

I sat down with Murray and this is what he had to say.

1. How long have you been in Malton?

Murray: Since June 2006. I truly got involved with the metagame (through the RRF) in September of the same year.

2. What is your best memory or memories of this city?

Murray: Either taking part in the final breakthrough / ransacking of Blackmore I or waiting with the rest of AU10 to ransack Nichols Mall after the 5th of November festivities. That and the RRF's dance party at the Quartly Library. Nothing quite like dozen of zombies gesturing all over the place.

3. What are some Lessons you've learned during your stay here?

Murray: Everyone needs to take the game less seriously at some point. We're supposed to be doing this fun and it's a low-tech MMORPG. People shouldn't take it at all seriously, yet somehow everyone keeps doing just that.

4. Who's your right hand man/woman? And why do you trust them?

Murray: Well, I have a whole team of people that I've been through a lot with in the RRF. For a long time Talunex and I were bigtime partners in crime (even though we often disagreed with one another), but right now I'd say Goolina because I think we've been through about as much together as any two other UD players (well, two players who've never met IRL).

5. What makes a good Human Leader? / Zombie Leader? / Pk Leader?

Murray: I'd say for all of them the requirements are largely the same. I'll make a little list (in order of importance).

1. Getting other people to have fun (it is a game). 2. Playing an ethical game. 3. Some level of organization / strategery so that your group actually acts as a group. 4. The ability to defuse drama (internal and external) and keep ahold of the group when there are always dozens of different members of said group who want to go a dozen different ways. 5. A good grasp on tactics (how to win a battle once you're in one).

6. What does your group do best?

Murray: Smash stuff. Eat brainz. Pantless squaredancing.

7. What is your groups greatest accomplishment?

Murray: Probably sticking around as one of the largest groups in the game for so long. So many other groups have come and gone in the time the RRF has been around. The most credit goes to Petro who created this beast, but there are countless others (including myself) who have kept the big ball of Barhah rolling for about two years now.

8. Why are you in charge?

Murray: Because Patrucio left and I made the mistake of being the most active member of the RRF at that time.

9. If you weren't in this group which group would you be in?

Murray: I probably wouldn't be in any group. I was about ready to give up on the game before I stumbled upon the Battle of Blackmore with my MJS character.

10. What's the future of your group?

Murray: The RRF research division is currently at work figuring out the best way to infect the harmanz with Barhah! Do we de-pants them before killing them? Or after?

11. Who is Malton's best leader? / Who would you follow?

Murray: Current leader? Jorm.

12. What group do you secretly admire? / Why?

Murray: Secretly? I don't know, I'm fairly upfront with what I think about groups, so I'm not sure if there's any secret admiration that those who don't know me are already aware of. Out of the zombie groups I guess I'd say the Minions because they've been doing it for even longer than the RRF without all the hype. Out of the harman groups I guess I'd say the Dribbling Beavers because they lead the effort that handed our asses to us at Santlerville.

13. Who is your Favorite Group in the City?

Murray: The RRF, duh. The QSG is a close second.

14. What is the Future of Malton?

Murray: More of the same. Drama! Wild population swings! Ridleybank "conquered" by harmanz (when they really occupy only one important building for about a week)! Etc.!

15. Do you have a Favorite Suburb?

Murray: Hmm... while I've always been partial to Earletown, I'm thinking its safe to say that any RRF'ers favorite suburb is Ridleybank.

16. Who is the most powerful person in the City?

Murray: Me. And Bullgod. We are the mayor after all.

17. What is the best UD upgrade?

Murray: The end of the old headshot. I would have never really put any effort at all in the game if that old thing was still around.

18. What question should I have asked you? (answer that one).

Murray: The RRF: Greatest UrbanDead group or Greatest group of any kind in the world? I'm modest, I'm just going with the greatest UrbanDead group.

19. Who else should I ask about leadership?

Murray: Jorm.

20. What would you change about Malton if you could?

Murray: Less drama. Less zerging, cheating douchebags.

21. If you escaped Malton what would be the first thing you'd do?

Murray: Spread Barhah! all over the world.

22. Any advice for an aspiring group leader?

Murray: Pay your dues. If you're creating a group from scratch, put in the hard work, be humble and work on building up your base instead of hyping what a badass you are. If you're working your way up an established group, then you really need to pay your dues. Volunteer to do the hard work, be active and work with people so that you earn their trust and respect.

23. Anything you want to say to the people of Malton?

Murray: BARHAH!

24. Tell me a Joke.

Murray: How many harmanz does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None, let them hide in the dark!

Well there you have it the words and wisdom of one Murray Jay Suskind.
