Zombie starting characters are very cookie cutter. There's what, 8 types of survivor, and only one zombie? I think this tips the scales in favor of people making new survior characters, to try new stratedgies, which likely contributes to the presently high survivor / zombie ratio. How about having some varient zombies - say, ones that starts with lurching gait or memories of life instead of vigor mortis? In fact, why not just start a zombie off with NO skills, and give them 100 (or even 150) xp to do with as they wish? Also, Vigor Mortis is a pre-req for many skills that, IMO, would be more intersting as stand alone skills. If a newly dead human could take neck lurch, rend flesh, or death grip BEFORE rigormortis, you'd see more variety in how zombies made attacks, and in what skills the selected. (The higher hit chance offered by taking death grip before vigor would also make it easier for low level zombies to smash baracades, and would maybe help adress another factor currently keeping the zombies as less-than-hordes.) --swiers 10:39, 22 Sep 2005 (CMT)

    • Eh, I'd say it epitomizes the lack of purpose and organization amongst the zombie horde. — ceejayoz .com 13:48, 27 Sep 2005 (BST)
      • True but it does mean that from a player stand point there is much less depth than if the player is alive, hence less reason to play a zombie. --Hyperionblue 14:53, 27 Sep 2005 (BST)
        • If there were more zombie variants, then people would be more interested in playing as a zombie. This would mean a lot more coding but a variety of unique zombie classes with special skills, bonuses, weaknesses, etc. would attract more to play as the undead for the thrill of being the bad guy. There are samples of zombie classes on the Bad Suggestions page that are pretty interesting. --Suggestion Guy 10:20, 01 Oct 2005 (PT)
          • It'd be pretty easy, too, someone already suggested a 'freshly killed' zombie class (starts with Mem O Life), I could easily see a 'Hungry Dead' (Digestion) zombie class as another option that could be fit into this. --Juntzing 14:50, 13 Oct 2005 (BST)
