Being a survivor Caleb appreciates that zombies are "bad", in that they desire to eat the very brains he uses to think up all his amazing science-related ideas. So in order to discourage this unhealthy "brain eating/flesh devouring" habit Caleb encourages survivors in the NE Corner to unite and oppose the zombie hordes. Only by uniting all survivors can he finally know peace, secure in the knowledge that the brains he so cherishes will stay in his head where they belong! Having long studied human behavior Caleb's posters appealed the every survivor's basic sense of self-preservation and the values that they held dear to their heart:
