Summary

These are the drunken ramblings of Jesus Sante, proud Owner of The Burchell Arms. He bravely took it upon himself to crawl the the Bars of Malton, drinking his way from West to East and documenting it for you.

Tales of the Road

Our stay at Club Meade was objected to by the local zeds. I retook it (at 81AP) and lit it up, but it was broken into the next day. I was joined by fellow BAR member User:Rockefella Plaza.

After a revive I headed to the Acott Arms. It was lit and full of people with some nice Christmas lights up, but nobody was talking. It was creepy. We had better luck at the Preston Arms where we were joined by another Regular, Syzpid. We did get a little rowdy in the Preston Arms (on account of two-for-ones and a few scammed drinks), but the regulars were tolerant.

Next up was the Splain Arms, which we really enjoyed. They gave use drinks; they cooked us food. They tolerated our very drunken antics. It was hard to leave, but we wanted to see their sister pub, the Giffard Arms. Matson Jade was a great host at the Giffard, but it wasn't quite as good as the Splain. I recommend switching the order of the Splain and the Giffard, as we had to backtrack to get to Giffard (though not far).

We spent two days there (which was about how much they could handle of us) and on Matson's recommendation Rocky and I took a detour to dip in the pool at the Mart Motel. Queen Mum (the proprietor) was easy going served up fancy drinks. She didn't even object when I skinny-dipped in her giant bathtub! I highly recommend it be included in the official pub crawl!

Sadly, we struck out entirely at the Crabbe Arms, the Talbott Arms, and the Pitcher Arms. They were all caded, but nobody was home and nobody came by.

The Trigg Arms was familiar to me, as I'm from the area. It was ruined, so I needed to toss a couple of zeds to get the lights on. A few locals stopped by until it got trashed again.

The Ablett Arms was empty. A regular stopped in to say "Hi", but we didn't stay there long. I dropped in to The Batt Arms next. A couple of friendlies from the Rolt Heights Vigilante Patrol swung in after I turned the lights on, but they just greeted me and left.

I'd been to The Buckrell Arms many times and was greeted warmly. They don't drink a ton in there, but they're friendly enough. The owner is guywithhispantson and he's a friendly bartender and a close BAR ally. He also has a reputation for taking in strays who need redemption.

Then it was on to the Burchell Arms. The Burch was lit and the beer was cold. I hung out there for three days and got caught up on the gossip. I was about a 6 on the 10 point Burch scale. Some drinking, some joking, no nudity.

I went back to the Buckrell Arms and chatted them up again. Unfortunately, my last two stops The Wardropper Arms and the Kerle Arms were busts. They were both EHB, but not lit and nobody was in there.
