September 2008
29/9/08: Apparently I've been assigned for and airdrop into that quarantined city... malton i think its name was. anyway my mission is to provide recon for the forces that will be deployed later and give them tactical information like number of hostiles, major survivor groups, stuff like that afterwards we will receive more specific details. there will be ten of us and we'll be dropped into the Dunningwood district.
30/9/08: I'm feeling a little nervous about this mission. i did some research on previous units sent into the city and they haven't been seen since. this is looking like it might be more dangerous than command is saying.
November
1/10/08: the Airdrop went horribly 2 men had their chutes malfunction and are now dead. only me and corporal Marks arrived where we were supposed to the others are scattered throughout the city. i tried contacting them on radio but theres no..... wait...... whats that... don't come any closer! i'm warning you take another step and I'll fire. (a gunshot can be heard on tape along with gurgling noises)now lay on the ground and put your hands behind your head! Marks go put restraints on him. (more gunshots can be heard along with yelling from one of the two soldiers). It bit me! (another gunshot is heard along with a thud)
2/10/08: (yells of pain can be heard on tape) hang on let me put a bandage on it..... As you may have heard, we were attacked by a deranged survivor. he had wounds all over his body and Corporeal Marks was bitten when we tried to restrain the man. right now Marks has fallen ill with an illness, he might have gotten rabies by the man i don't know I'm not a medic. I'm going to go into the nearby hospital and find some medical supply's for him.
3/10/08: I'm in the hospital. so far ive looked around the place, it looks pretty dirty. i came across another deranged man i had to kill him. i'll be on this thing in the next hour.
found some survivors who hadn't gone crazy and looked kinda healthy compared to the other ones I've seen. they explained that the people i saw before before were not deranged but former human beings who had died. they said that in the city these people just started turning up all over the city and that anybody who was killed by them would be infected and turned into one of them. they offered to help Marks because they knew any friendly face was good. we had to act fast though or he would die from the infection he got from the bite.
4/10/08: we arrived back at my hideout to late we found Marks dead with blood all around his mouth. later he rised as a zombie and was quickly killed by the survivors and shot in the head to stop him from getting back up. they said that he could be turned back to his usual self but they lacked the supplys and skill to do so
