General

Hi, I am a relatively new player, with two characters strolling around in Malton.

Just recently I have learned how green I am. Even before the beginning of the siege of Caiger Mall we had been warned the CotR will come to Molebank for St. Judes. Yeah, and I waited ... and waited ... and stockpiled weapons and ammo in the PDs. Then I gathered XP, bought my skills, and when any zombie group did not show up in Molebank, I headed off for Caiger Mall to find some more ammo. At that point I carried an insane amount of weapons with me, but insufficient ammo. It was always just enough to kill the next zed, and after any kill I had to retreat to restock. After all, I had to buy some skills! So, I spent two days at Caiger (after the siege was over), but did not get enoug ammo and faks. Why? I did not bother for the latter, and had too many weapons around, that I could not carry any more ammo. Too bad I could not throw away any weapons, either, because it did take so long to finally find them. Stupid emotional bonding! Well, this left me with ten shotties and fifteen pistols (or something like that), but not even enough ammo to reload all of them. Do I have to mention I did not carry any NT equipment with me? And that was the time the attack came, it came swiftly and it was effective. My fellow volunteers fell left and right, and I wasn't able to do one damn thing about it! Wasted four days worth of AP to get syringes, found two in total. Clips, ammo, I have none and had none, spent two days or so to find them in PDs, got two or three clips. FAKs, don't ask, had found one since christmas. Well, this whole attack was a complete desaster for me. Was not prepared a bit.

MyLinks

Mall Tour: The whole world of UD is abuzz (does this word exist?). The second siege of Caiger Mall has started, and it will be a even bigger event than the first one. The zombie group "The Mall Tour '06" has set up a page giving away valuable information, and I will check it once a while.

Caiger Mall: This might be obvious now. Quacki is hanging out there.

Search Odds: I hope I can provide some data for this page.

Molebank: The place to hang around for my mostly human charakter, as this is my home, and Quacki (although the name is not even remotely irish sounding) feels a strong bond towards his people.

Zombie speech translators: Well, what has that link to do with me, an upright zombie slayer, you might think. Zombiequark mastered the art of death rattle just recently, and I tend to forget which letters get stripped. I hate saying "Rh rh rhrh rh an rhrh rh!" very much, so I have to look up if I can find some combinations of the unforbidden letters that may form something that resembles sentinent language. Like this does ... Zombiequark rarely says anything else than "Zambarh" or "Rh", so I guess until I get to know some zombiegroup, my code in death rattle will be somewhat lacking.

My alter egos

The heck with it, I'm going to give away something anyway. I just can seem to keep it to myself. Quacki, the first one, is a firefighter from Molebank. Because the Church of the Resurrection is on a pilgrimage to St Jude's Cathedral, Molebank is in a highly alerted state. The CotR and the Minions arrived, and Molebank is overrun now, but still I fight with my fellow survivors. Yes, I like threatening hordes of zombies! Look for Zombiequark, he he he ...

Zombiequark is my other guy lurching around. This one is a zombie, whom I modelled after Big Daddy, the most impressive zombie from George A. Romeros latest movie, "Land of the Dead". I like that movie very much, to which I have to give credit to the cool main zombie character "Big Daddy", one former gas station employee. That guy is finally able to learn and to show emotions. The latter is very funny, as in one scene the undead army is about to cross a river, but their leader seems to be afraid of the water. I guess even zombies are afraid sometimes.

As levelling is difficult with this character, I decided to become breathing human, just to gather some xp. Without a group it gets difficult, I think.

Finally, the XP loss from headshot is removed, and Zombiequark is now longer a creepy human character, but what he was supposed to be: A zed, what we, the ones alive are frightened of! And the military! And our dogs, too. Not to mention our cats. Whatever ...
