Current Skills

1) Memories of Life : Assume the server is reset, a level 1 zombie will not be able to level up at all without ZKing. Doesnt that indicate something fundamentally wrong? Not having memories of life is like a 100% effective barricade against low level undead. However, one cannot just do away with the skill, especially at this juncture of the game. Well, remember that zombies carry and use blunt weapons? Now, let zombies use Hand to Hand combat (for blunt weapons), Diagnosis & NT Employment once they get memories of life! Once rid of the extremely disheartening "The building's doors are closed. You do not know how to open doors.", new zombies might find the unlife better.

2) Ransack : Compare Skill_Addition:_Zombie#Ransack with the current ransack. Its a joke. And I think Grim put it quite well, too.

3) Scent Fear : Is it really required? Scent Blood --> Scent Trail would've sufficed. Or is it just there to hobble zombies?

4) Infectious Bite : Well, its a novelty skill, that's negated very easily. It's not a deterrent to actives (who keep barricading / healing / shooting regardless of infection because there is an EHB next door to pop into), and is only useful to grief new survivors, the prospect of which is not very appealing, either. Something needs to change about Infectious Bite. While what needs to be changed is upto debate, I believe that Infection should deal (Level / 5) HP / AP damage. It can be easily explained, too.

5) Barricades : Ah, the old nemesis. Suggestions/15th-Mar-2006#Changes_to_Barricades summarises my views entirely.

6) Death Rattle : As fun as it is to shout BANANA GANGBANG BARHAH, after the thousandth time it gets old. One still fails at effectively communicating with ferals. The change to DR I have in mind is very simple. When one speaks in DR, all zombies can understand what is spoken as is typed, while the humans in the square gets the current DR mangling. New Skills

With regards to new skills, perhaps one could flesh out a Blunt skill tree for zombies, which inflict status effects, perhaps? (Example: Stunning (So the next action takes double AP)) Remember, they are killing machines, so making their killing "fun" might help.
