Backstory
Just a Chinese man that left Taiwan because of the White Terror period. Coming to Malton, I continued working as a schoolteacher while also teaching martial arts on the weekends as a hobby. But that has all tragically changed when the outbreak began. I can only hope that none of the school children in my classes remained after Malton was quarantined by the United Nations. Some of the things I have witnessed within quarantined Malton brings just as much chills to my spine, in the same manner that the long-gone White Terror period still does.
Surviving Quarantined Malton
Owing to previous experiences gained from national service, athleticism and personal fighting prowess provided from a martial artist background, with common sense and the willingness to adapt accordingly should my luck run out, I thankfully remain among the living. Beside personal attributes, the blessing of teamwork and the luxury of finally being able to entrust others have contributed to my survival overall.
However, everyday is a new day to test even the sharpest tools in the shed. There may be a moment where I may finally meet my end, in which I can only hope it shall be (relatively) painless and with dignity. Contrary to those that may state how the sheer death counts may numb even the kindest souls to give into the cheapness of human lives within the quarantined zone, we, or what remains of us pro-survivors, have a moral obligatory to uphold the preciousness of life we built for one another and therefore, should the swiftness of death come into our darkest hours, we mustn't go gently into the night for only by the light represented in our struggles can we ever hope to not die in vain.
United we stand; divided we shall fall. There is hope despite the darkness that reigns upon the morals of mankind. From the darkness is where even the smallest courage of fire can radiate like a sun that brings forth another day worth fighting for.
And although myself a former schoolteacher, I will do whatever I can to set an example before our moral senses decay forever. Fellow pro-survivors, we must cooperate if there is to be any meaning behind our weary survival. The odds are indeed against us and will challenge how we act as a bastion of humanity in ways we'll find unimaginable.
