Triumphant Slaughter

When Posted: Dance Emot.gifTheDavibob LLLDance Emot.gif 15:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Type: Skill

Applies to: Zombies

The Triumphant Slaughter skill resides on the Vigour Mortis tree, with no other prerequisite than Vigour Mortis itself. It only comes into effect after the zombie kills a survivor, and it grants the zombie a +15% bonus to all claw attacks and a +10% bonus to all bite attacks for the next 5 attacks.

This works with Tangling Grasp, and only happens if all further attacks are against humans. There are a number of ways this bonus could be lost, and these are:

  • Performing another action other than attacking will negate the bonus.
  • Attacking another zombie will negate the bonus, though it still applies to the original attack.
  • Attacking with a blunt weapon will negate the bonus.
  • Being attacked by either a zombie or a survivor will negate the bonus.
  • Being healed by a survivor will negate the bonus (it is presumed that the First Aid calms you down).
  • If these actions are not fully used within the next 5 hours, the bonus it lost.

Speaking or groaning does not disable the bonus; however it takes the place of one of your attacks. So if you still have 4 attacks with the bonus, then speak, you will only have 3.

This shows the zombie killing a survivor, then, in its lust for blood; it charges forwards and attempts to rip another survivor up. This blood lust is represented by the higher accuracy, which more accurately represents the higher frenzy of attacks.

Thank you for reading this, it is not as complicated as I have probably made it sound.

Who threw me out?

When Posted: Dance Emot.gifTheDavibob LLLDance Emot.gif 16:49, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Type: Message

Applies to: The recently killed/revived.

Right. This is a simple suggestion – when dead, since you can still hear/see other things, why not add who chucked you out the window? Just a simple message:

[x] dumped your dead body out the building.

This might make zombies search for revenge, but no more than if you kill them, and it would be helpful, mainly for newbs who don’t know about bodies being flung out, and wonder why they are outside. This only applies if your body is thrown out of the window, you wouldn’t see others being thrown out.

Of course, it would still be in the same dark grey text as other messages when you are dead. This would also apply if you are a reviving body, as well as if you have just been killed, whether as a zombie or a survivor.|

High/Secondary Schools

Timestamp: TheDavibob 08:29, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Type: New Building Complex
Scope: All
Description: Schools - I am fine with them how they are, common and not too useful. However, they all seem to be small, one block, lower school. So, I propose to have High Schools, 5 in total, spread around Malton. All 6 square complexes, all with varying buildings. For example of how to change, here is the original region in Crowbank:

[[1]]

And I am suggesting we change it to:

[[2]]

Right, a quick run through of the locations.

School fields: Parks. Maybe without the Flare Guns.

School: (SW) Same as current schools.

Science Block: As per a school, with added First Aid Kits, at 4%. I really can't see why they would have more, without going OTT.

Library: Nuff said.

Technology Block: Hmm... First Aid Kits (2% - to make Science blocks worthwhile), Lengths of Pipe (5%) and an easy way to get a knife (3%) for beginners. May be overbaricaded, but I don't really want it to be.

Auditorium Hmmm... Hard one. Binoculars (2%), books (3%)

Interior descriptions: Science Block: You stand in a disused lab. Ruined schoolbooks scatter the desks.

Tech Block: You stand in an empty Workshop. Various tool racks are empty.

Auditorium The rows of seats lie empty, the curtain hanging down.

Each school building consists of 6 squares, and lie in the following locations in Malton:

Crooketown [3]

Greentown [4]

Pashenton [5]

West Beckton [6]

And of course, the one in Crowbank, as above.

Each will consist of a library, a school block, and two playing fields. The other two buildings will be either of the three new blocks, Technology, Science and the Auditorium.

Note: The buildings do not count as a large building, due to technical reasons.
