Hi there, a quesiton about multiple wiki logins

I browsed and unlucky did not find any word about that. I have several alt characters in UD. They are not cooporating and never been penalized. I created a wiki account for my main character. Another one is currently forming a new group. I will edit a new group page for that. The only thing id like is to be able to sign my posts (tilde trigger) with the alt wich is not yet wiki registered. Can I get a second brand new account for this alt or have I to find another solution? Please let me know. -- Waughn 18:38, 18 May 2007 (BST)

Thank you for your quick answer. Since I think you may not see my user page has change, I invite you to go on with our discussion on my talk page. -- Waughn 11:55, 19 May 2007 (BST)

sysops

I wonder, are we gonna demote the inactive sysops by changing the policy? When I look at the listusers/sysop page, more than half are inactive.... What's the point of having an inactive administration? --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:44, 14 May 2007 (BST)

Plot, Plot

The secret plan is on the forum, and "I forgot we had a Super-Secret Plan?" makes no sense. Are you asking me if I know whether you forgot something? I feel like I'm watching Anchorman: "I'm Ron Burgundy? Did I forgot a plan?"--Lachryma 15:10, 7 May 2007 (BST)

Um...yeah, I didn't understand that. I blame my blondness. Anyway, there is a secret plan, one so mind-shatteringly secret that we don't talk about it on wiki. Ironically, it appears that the original secret plan has been given up due to apathy, but we have new plans involving Molebank. Got it? Get it? Good. Check the bloody forum!--Lachryma 15:35, 7 May 2007 (BST)

Lach'll probably tell you something else when she stops by, but until then, your instructions are:

  1. Add your character to the group roster.
  2. Sign yourself up onto our fethin' amazing forum and ask someone for the password to the GC boards.
  3. Get yourself Free Running and some NT skills. (This step can be skipped if you already have them.)
  4. Head up to the Whatmore Building in Yagoton and help us keep the place clean.

Wondering if this could revive the project welcome and project mentor pages - all active sysop users must sign up and take action accordingly where needed? Might give the bored ones something to do.... --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 15:48, 28 March 2007 (BST)

I doubt that would be popular or workable. Even if you don't take the problems of determine whose active and not in to account the position is not really suited for it. A wiki is founded on the principle that everything that can be done by the community is best done by the community. An user with Sysop status is supposedly nothing more then a trusted user within the community that can perform certain sensitive tasks on a voluntary basis. Dissimilar to a Moderator on a message board who takes on certain responsibilities and gets extra powers in return.
This wiki sysops have absorbed some aspects of moderators due to the fact that the UD community at large has been without forums every now and again so that the wiki grew some social aspects that needed those roles but the basis itself hasn't changed. Despite what impression is made by certain sysop behaviour, the basis of it is still that sysops are just part of the community no different outside their ability to perform certain tasks. (Although you would be right to say that it doesn't look like that a lot of the times...)
You could argue, quite reasonable, that despite that sysops can be expected to take this on regardless because they do have some extra powers that should be offset with this particular work. (the extra powers do disappoint though when compared what people think you can do/should be able to do) The problem with that is that sysop status is awarded for activities that have always been up to person itself. I've always been more active in the Suggestions pages and earned it through my social editing and afterwards took on a more traditional "moderator" role, but others like Grim S earned theirs through hard work on wiki maintenance and stayed extremely clear from the social aspects in favour of a more technical role. To force a role upon somebody he doesn't want nor even is or feels suited would be counterproductive.
It’s better to first get clear what the role of project welcome should be and then simply ask people to join the project by putting it up in the announcement box..--Vista 17:08, 28 March 2007 (BST)

Practically every, if not all, against votes were from the exact same faction. Practically every, if not all against votes were from DEM members who bitched about the suburb danger reports. Something that Saromu has said that he will not touch again. –Xoid STFU! 18:53, 11 August 2006 (BST)

Seems I had misread a couple of names. Annoying when people have names that's only a character off someone else's 'eh? 3 DEM againsts, 2 of which came pretty much immediately after the suburb danger level debate. A pair of users with no standing or real contributions weighing in. Some poor reasoning for a couple of againsts. Though there are some pretty stupid reasons for vouches as well, and a couple of nobodies vouching too, for that matter. A very mixed bag, and plenty of drama. –Xoid STFU! 19:34, 11 August 2006 (BST)
Yeah, these are the worst. Thats why I adviced him to try again later, hopefully his second bid wil give clearer results. btw, whats the timetable for the bureaucrat promotion? luckely every started the same day so it's more fair then the first round. but how does that effect nomination time of a week?--Vista 20:41, 11 August 2006 (BST)
Honestly? No fucking idea. I say that the rules for 'crat nomination need to be rewriten. Once per two months at most (except when the previous 'crats all leave), 1 week to get bids in, 2 weeks discussion. Seems logical to me. –Xoid STFU! 07:14, 12 August 2006 (BST)

Thanks, But It's worth remembering that Xoid had a remarkably long active period before the apathy got him. It's only natural. Being a moderator is 90% drudgery and 10% of the wrong sort excitement if you do it right and 100% of the wrong sort excitement if you do it wrong. That really makes most moderators (or sysops these days) burn through rather quickly. But it would be nice if more of the old guard would reactivate. Here?

You don't say where to put new messages so I'll just throw this one down here. I think the evil text is a way to overload pages by placing loads of templates on them. I think 3page (I guess that is who attacked) just copy-pasted so many templates onto my user page that it took so long to load the computer gave up. It is easily reverted by doing a rollback through the vandal's contributions. He said the Jedaz came up with it, so I'll probably ask Jedaz about it later. I hope the same thing doesn't happen again tonight. --ZombieSlay3rSig.pngT 20:35, 28 March 2007 (BST)

That all? djeez. I was hoping for something grand, or spectacular. And yeah, roll-backs are nice, aren't they.--Vista 20:41, 28 March 2007 (BST)
Actually vista, in terms of vandalism it is pretty grande and spectacular in the sense that only mods can revert it, also the template way of overloading pages doesn't really work anymore for some reason, I had to adapt it so now I just put about a megabyte or 2 of text on a page and its dead until a mod comes along. Blutic 03:32, 29 March 2007 (BST)
No, not really. Everybody can revision "evil text". just type in the adressbar http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php?title="title of page"&action=history Then go to the version before the vandalism and hit edit then save page. Easy--Vista 07:37, 29 March 2007 (BST)
Evil text seriously hurts the server as it tries to resolve all those templates. Kevan has since put a limit on the number of template calls per a page, which prevents the server from being overloaded.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 14:54, 2 April 2007 (BST)
O I get that, `but the whole "Evil text!" name makes it sound much more L33t H@ckorzs shit then "creating a server overload" don't you think? regardless of the effects.--Vista 15:06, 2 April 2007 (BST)
Yeah, I suppose it hadn't really been used for vandalism at the time that Jedaz named it.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 15:37, 2 April 2007 (BST)

Vandalism?

What are your thoughts about this? In my and other's views, it isn't an edit made in good faith, but I'm reluctant to post a vandal report on either person because Techwitch (probably a proxy alt) thought he/she was removing spam and Spore somehow thought it was funny. --ZombieSlay3rSig.pngT 01:14, 3 April 2007 (BST)

just thanking you for your support in the Malton's religion diversity suggestion, but as it is I think it's a new "dead on the water". I guess religion is just a big issue for most people-- Che -T GC X 15:16, 8 June 2007 (BST)

Please re-read voting rules regarding dupes

Dupe, for Suggestions that are exact or very close duplicates of previous suggestions. For a Dupe vote to be valid, a link must be provided to the original suggestion. Dupe votes can be used to remove suggestions as described below. Dupe votes will not be counted when votes are tallied.

In my opinion, the suggestion is close enough to be considered a dupe. You may not agree, but does that give you the authority to strike my vote? I did not remove the suggestion as a dupe, so please do not strike my vote, especially since a dupe vote is not counted in the final tally. It is up to others to agree or disagree with me whether it is a dupe, and they do so with their votes.--SporeSore 15:59, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Why don't you read the rules yourself? I see no place where is says admins can strike a dupe vote because they do not consider it a dupe. And you did not move it to the the Talk:Suggestions page so why not give me a proper link to where you did move it. You sir, are a cunt.--SporeSore 17:00, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Dammit, why does the fine print always bite me on the ass? Sorry for my name calling. I had only read the rule on Re and missed the rule on admin usage of Note. Despite the trollishness of the last two sentences of my dupe vote, the first sentence was sincere. Many voters put similar assinine comments in their votes without being struck. Apologies. --SporeSore 19:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Yeah... well.... I was only born at the end of the 80's, mister. Sorta organized and sorta freestyle. I have family here, and this is my 4th trip. The Mona Lisa is very cool, if tiny, but that statue is quite amazing. I prefer the medieval tapestries myself, especially at the Cluny. And the Egyptian stuff is lovely.--Lachryma 18:17, 4 June 2007 (BST)
You live in Holland, right? I love Amsterdam, and not for the usual reasons. Anyway, I don't take medieval stuffs for granted, cuz I'm an Amurican and thus don't see that much knight-y things. Cluny is cool too cuz they just have a bit of armour and blades and stuff. I know war was a big part of back then, but I like their emphasis on other things.--Lachryma 08:43, 5 June 2007 (BST)
Ironically enough, my home a has lot of history too. I live on the Hopi Indian Rez, a culture that has been around for hundreds of years, at least. I can go to the ruins of a village wiped out after the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. Or I can drive up to Walpi or Old Oraibi, which both claim to be one of the oldest continually inhabited places in the continental US. Anyway, I love Amsterdam partly cuz I'm 1/4 Dutch and mostly cuz it's a lovely city with a lot of culture.--Lachryma 08:44, 6 June 2007 (BST)
Ooo, messing around at work! Well, I don't think there's much good info on Hopi on teh internetz, but you never know. Moving along, Amsterdam is quite-aaaagh, I just saw a guy in a park wearing pinstripe dress pants, a pink and brown striped t-shirt, and flip flops! Am I really in Paris?!--Lachryma 11:57, 6 June 2007 (BST)

Of course, they only have a museum to stay open on Sundays....--Lachryma 12:25, 7 June 2007 (BST)
Psh, hitting on French guys...they're not worth my time. And I speak like 4 words of French, so it wouldn't work. Especially since most people here can speak English but refuse to. Also, I barely know how to rollerskate. Strangely enough, I was learning the last time I was here. And the time before that I learned to ride a bike. Is strange. Anyway, I'm perfectly happy doing nothing and seeing my sister while I'm here. It is summer, no? Though this window is open and it's fething cold!--Lachryma 13:40, 7 June 2007 (BST)
All I know is that my sister gets an hour of English everyday in her elementary school. And damn straight I have high standards. I'd be boring otherwise. Anyway, it's like 60 something degrees here, but I don't what that this in Celsius. I wish it was like 40 something Celsius here, mmmm, warmth...--Lachryma 10:23, 8 June 2007 (BST)

Yes, metric would be nice. And I know what 40 Celsius is. When I was in Barcelona a while back it was like 44 degrees, which suits me perfectly. Anyway, I head back to the States on the 17th, so I'm only here for 2 weeks.--Lachryma 12:02, 8 June 2007 (BST)

I doubt it. I think I'll be watching tough, buff French guys moving things for the rest of the afternoon. But starting Sunday, I'll be having a lot of fun. And next week will be lovely, so I'm really looking forward to it...but yeah, Sunday will rule. I love my birthdays.--Lachryma 12:13, 8 June 2007 (BST)
No, I have to watch these French movers so they don't steal our stuff or whatever. Anyway, on June 10th I'll be...well, legal, I suppose.  ;) And I want some sort of shiny template!--Lachryma 12:21, 8 June 2007 (BST)

After 3 months with no elections on a bureaucrat position, an election is called for the bureaucrat position longest without an election.

I just wanted to let you know that I thought you were completely right in your vote comment. I agree with all those things, and I've been meaning to reply to it on the talk page. I expect to withdraw the suggestion before the two weeks is up if it continues to get Keep votes (yes, I know that going to Peer Reviewed doesn't mean automatic inclusion in UD). I have a few ideas on how to change it, and these will be in my reply on the suggestion's talk page. armareum 00:38, 2 July 2007 (BST)

Suggestion Question

Think I was getting a bit overzealous with my previous editing, so I've got a question about what to do with Molotov Cocktails suggestion. The author removed it from the Current Suggestions page with this edit. Would you add a withdrawn template to the suggestion or add the suggestion back to the Current Suggestions page? Dont go this way Vista, please. Hello thar

Haven't seen you around very much of late... you been a bit busy IRL? --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 14:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Very... My workload has been increased to such a degree that it's hard to combine with my social life. Let alone with my downtime on the internet. At most I can steal 5 minutes here and there, so I do very little editing. I spend most of my time just reading up on what happend. Luckily the Wiki has little real need for me :) so my lack of editing is easily picked up by the others. I'm changing jobs in january, but hopefully my project will finish before that...
but it'll probably take at least another month. So... how are you?-- Vista  +1  14:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, workloads suck. I really should be doing the same - exams start next week. >_>

I've been having problems with a bit of code for my group page. I want the edit button to be under this type of header:

<div style="background-color:#cee0f2; border-bottom:0px; border: 1px solid #a3b1bf; text-align:center; font-size:150%; padding:3px; margin:4px;">Allies</div>

Your concerns

I understand your concern regarding whether I'll be able to maintain my level of decorum. What makes this time different is that I'm not aiming as high as before - it is much easier to, if not be unfailingly polite, at least be civil about it. Vista, there are a number of posts on the wiki which fairly make my blood boil (they're mostly in and around those civility policies). If I'm as poor at controlling myself as you say, why have I not responded to them? --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 22:35, 13 September 2007 (BST)

I'm more worried about a month after you are promoted then how you are acting in a discussion now. You've acted civilly for only two weeks now. As I said you are capable to clean up your act for short periods of time. And lets not forget that you've got a good motivation to do so now, What would happen if you lost that motivation? You've had many second chances that you didn't use. I'm not going to give you yet another one after a track record of only two weeks right before a sysop-bid. In fact I would have had more trust in your change of hart it had a longer track record then just the bare minimum necessary to run for sysop.-- Vista  +1  22:49, 13 September 2007 (BST)
I don't have the energy to argue with you, so I'll let it lie. I hope you can eventually change your mind about me, Vista, and stop seeing the worst side of everything I do. The whole point of not aiming for the sky was so that I would find it easier to keep to my promise. --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 08:53, 14 September 2007 (BST)

One other thing: I trust you'll make your decision on whether or not to promote me an unbiased one? Don't hold my bid to higher standards than others just because you personally disagree with it, Vista. --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 09:05, 14 September 2007 (BST)

Vista didn't get into the position he is in today for being biased. I'm sure that he will consider your bid in the same light as any other user who has made a bid. Anyway don't forget Boxy is also a 'crat. So Vista may decide to leave the choice up to him. - If Jedaz = 09:14, 14 September 2007 (BST) then pi = 2 + 1
Perhaps. I wasn't insinuating that Vista will be biased (I have full confidence he won't be), but I wanted to get that off my chest. I'm a fairly straightforward guy - I dislike ambiguity and intrigue. --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 09:20, 14 September 2007 (BST)
Well I'm not even a bureaucrat yet, so this discussion is jumping the gun a bit. However I promise you that if I'm the next bureaucrat I'll tread your case the same as I would any other case. And that any decision will be Boxy's first and mine second. That said I'd also like to note that I certainly don't see everything you do in the worst possible way. You've been a long time editor here, and you've done a lot. And it certainly wasn't all bad, far from it. I do think that you have weaknesses on the qualities a sysop should have strengths. But the fact that I've got reservations about you on some things doesn't mean I've got problems with you all across the board.-- Vista  +1  19:07, 15 September 2007 (BST)

About your Sig

I've noticed the formatting spews onto the page. Have you thought about organizing in template format like my signature? --User:Axe27/Sig 23:57, 30 July 2007 (BST)

Yeah I have, but I decided against it. Although my sig has quite a lot of code, I haven't yet noticed it breaking any pages I dislike the fact that templated sigs can change after you made a comment. Although they're more compact templated sigs have broken quite a few pages and cost more bandwidth. I must say that I'm not entirely comfortable with the length of my sig, but at least it wraps around nicely. Overall I'm more comfortable with the way it is now.-- Vista  +1  01:24, 31 July 2007 (BST)

Moderatorship

I thought you'd never ask! Seriously though, is 2 months too soon? I'd probably just stick to the pages I edit already, does being a mod mean I'd be required to do anything else? Wait, don't you need over 500 edits to be eligible? Or are you just enquiring for the future?. 'arm. 13:01, 25 July 2007 (BST)

Wait, was I supposed to put myself forward? 'arm. 01:15, 27 July 2007 (BST)
Ah, a miscommunication with your Dutch ways (I presume)! "Over a week" meant "In a week", got it now.
Got a few quick questions: I notice that deletions still have to go through the delete/speedydelete system (which is fair), but what about moves? Today there were 2 suggestions that were created in the wrong namespace, and I just copied the suggestions over to the correct page, updated the links and made the originals redirects. Was that right, or should I have done something else, like put in a formal request for the pages to be moved. As a sysop would I be able just move them straight away, as correcting newbie mistakes? 'arm. 06:16, 27 July 2007 (BST)

Waiting is fine. Actually, might be best to wait until Mobius187's bid has been fully considered. I've been off work the past few weeks, and will be going back soon. I'll probably have a different usage of the wiki after that, so it will be easier to see how much I'm likely to be here (I still expect to be daily, just less prolific in posting each day). Get well soon, btw. 'arm. 16:14, 3 August 2007 (BST)

Yeah, that's kinda strange. Understandable in a way, but I would have thought it would have been in preference to "I want power, gimme gimme gimme". I'll put myself up for consideration once I'm settled back at work and know more about how much time I've got available for the wiki. 'arm. 17:01, 6 August 2007 (BST)

You weren't supposed to tell anybody! Seriously now, thanks for defending the template, I'm starting to get more and more surprised of everything that happens every time I log out =P. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:08, 10 July 2007 (BST)

Hey Vista, I have only 1 concern before I check everyone's contribution pages: Repeated checks for non-newbies. If I jump over non-newbies, then I'll have the problem that they will reapear again and again at my searches (because they still don't have a talk page). What's your proposed solution? A record would prove diadvatageous and troublesome to maintain, either a public or private ones, so I was considering creating a talk page for them anyways. In that last case, what would I put on their talk pages? nothing? would this be considered bad faith? I'm out for today, but I await an answer whenever I get back on (probably tomorrow). Thanks! --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:57, 11 July 2007 (BST)

I've started leaving messages like this in those cases. dependent on the amount of edits somebody made you can adapt it to a more appropriate message.-- Vista  +1  00:35, 12 July 2007 (BST)
Ummm, I don't know. If the main concern is "you're annoying non-newbies", I don't think such an edit makes a difference. And if the guy ends up being a newbie, he wouldn't even know (at least until later) what a tag is, or that by deleting them a whole load of text will magically appear out of nowhere on his talk page. I rather create blank pages, obviously in very good faith, but will everyone look at it like that? Maybe some will consider it a prank (because these non-newbies will get a "you have new messages" announce without any real message on their talk page). Or maybe some text like yours, but worded some other way... I'm starting to get tired because I'm thinking of this in order to please a bunch of guys that would never be happy anyways, but at least it's a step towards improvement... Feedback please? --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 14:05, 12 July 2007 (BST)
Just do as you think best seeing the edits amounts in question. you should at least leave a comment explaining why you that what you did. You could also use the message but just leave a link to the template instead of doing it with no wiki tags like I did.-- Vista  +1  14:48, 12 July 2007 (BST)

Your own suburb?

How are you working on your own suburb? I'm quite interested in that. --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS Hunt! 18:47, 12 July 2007 (BST)

I checked the suburb pages for a relatively empty suburb without a lot of history. And am busy creating a new layout with unique buildings and a likely back story. The ball got rolling by this discussion When I feel like it I'm working on an old town center complete with moat in old arkham. Just for fun (and just in map form) right now. When I'm finished I'll show Kevan. see what he thinks.-- Vista  +1  19:06, 12 July 2007 (BST)
Wow, that's awesome, Vista! Good luck!--Lachryma 19:11, 12 July 2007 (BST)

Vandalism Concept

As the member of the old guard, respected and calm Sysop you are, I think you should see This. I'm convinced that the only way to change the old customs and vices on this wiki are to affect the way their Sysops treat some contenious issues, and if we feel free and backed up when making decisions we feared to make before, we will grow better (and the wiki with us).

It's one of the main issues that made me want to be a Sysop myself abck in the past, please check it. Thanks. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 20:50, 14 July 2007 (BST)

I'm a member of the old guard all right, but respected and calm? O dear... I'll take a look anyway.-- Vista  +1  00:02, 15 July 2007 (BST)

Thanks

For Unbanning me. I didn't mean to cause so much drama. I was kinda hoping what I did would make people realise how drama logged the Arb pages where. Was I ever wrong, huh? Sorry to cause you so much work.--Seventythree 02:09, 16 September 2007 (BST)

You've got no idea, I'm still writing. And I don't particularly like having to do misconduct cases especially as your editing has been a bit on the edge lately. Starting up this trouble while your most recent editing were "random feth" all over the wiki was foolish. It's fine to have fun on the wiki, but you guys have been a bit too undiscriminating where. Take a bit more care with your editing from now on.-- Vista  +1  02:21, 16 September 2007 (BST)
Sorry. I would help out, If I could. I'll try and keep it toned down more from now on.--Seventythree 02:23, 16 September 2007 (BST)

your new evil sig

it sucks. Calls a lot of attention for itself and not the message you are trying to pass. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 20:04, 20 September 2007 (BST)

Yes, it's evil and intentional. Don't worry, It's only temporary. BTW, nice one we should have added something like that ages ago. -- Evil  Vista  09:07, 21 September 2007 (BST)
about this... i think the text needs some tweaking. i kind wrote this in a rush last night, and i dont think it has the right wordings --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 13:31, 21 September 2007 (BST)
I like it. Have you considered joining Project Evil? --The Grimch U! E! 09:35, 21 September 2007 (BST)
It's kind of Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde, good Vista V.S Evil Vista.--Seventythree 11:53, 21 September 2007 (BST)
Considered joining? how would that be EVIL? However, I'm considering usurping you and hagnat as overlords of project Evil just so you two won't grow into a force that could threat my plans for domination... -- Evil  Vista  20:30, 25 September 2007 (BST)
With our resources, you would be in a much better position to perform your evil plans, as well as usurp us, and at the same time, we gain an evil vista. We both win until we have our, by your very own statement, inevitable showdown. --The Grimch U! E! 04:11, 30 September 2007 (BST)
Mhm, Yes, yes... I see your point. I'll join your so called "project of Evil" my good and trustworthy friend! Bhahahahahaha... etc. etc.-- Evil  Vista 04:24, 30 September 2007 (BST)

Guidelines

You may not know this, and I must confess that I hate making this so-not-humble presentation yet again, but I'm pretty much the only surviving user that participated in the Guidelines rehashed policy since the beginning, the other two being Xoid and BobHammero. In fact, I wrote the "Warnings and Bannings" section myself (look here). That said, if you check at the discussion here, you'll see that warns were meant to be striken but not so are bans. Xoid wanted it (look at the slab of text with a different background color), we agreed on some points and so I wrote it on the policy. If you look at the guidelines it's obvious that bans are not to be struck, warns and bans are mentioned as different concepts: sentes like No ban shall be delivered if the user has less than two standing warnings on his or her record on the vandal data page, even if he or she has been banned before make no sense if interpreted otherwise.

My biggest concern right now is for the guidelines being purposefully misinterpretated. It would be cool to get this clear before someone starts to strike out real A/VB bans. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:05, 27 September 2007 (BST)

We should have a discussion about what it means because the text that was voted upon is somewhat ambiguous on the matter, and the precedent we've been using is different from what you describe. The more explanatory texts that seem to support you are on user subpages and have never been part of the official policy discussion or even been that public. Deleting warnings but not bannings screws up the vandal banning tree enormously. we should hammer it out what the actual policy is, and how it actually possible for it to function. Either way it shouldn't be dealt with in this misconduct case as the outcome would be the same regardless of the explanation used. I haven't had that much time to delve into the subject matter, but there should be a discussion started on this subject somewhere in the future.-- Evil  Vista  00:30, 28 September 2007 (BST)

on my requested edit

I don't understand why you moved it to the "recent actions" section if no action was taken - you only suspended it due to issues with it --~~~~ [talk] 17:11, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

The action was that I declined the edit for now and referred it to another page. The result of that may or may not change the requested edit, so I thought removing the original would prevent possible confusion in the future.-- Vista  +1  17:40, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
