History of the Wiki Gestapo
Wiki Gestapo was started with a comment that Gage made on Steel Hammer's talk page referring to the people on the Vandal Banning page as the "Wiki Gestapo." From there, it was history. A template followed and was immediately put up for deletion. People found it hilarious and it received nary a delete. Gage created the Wiki Gestapo because he found the whole incident hilariously fun.
About the Wiki Gestapo
Are you one of the harshest fuckers on the wiki? Have you ever made a noob cry? Have you ever demeaned someone so bad with your Spam vote on their retarded suggestion that they quit the game and the wiki in disgust? Have you ever reported a newbie to vandal banning for a newbie error? Did he end up getting warned? If you answered "yes" to any of the previous questions, you may be the kind of humorless bastard we are looking for.
Mission: if there is a rule, we are a stickler for it
- Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the definitions of vandalism and exactly what you can and cannot do around the wiki.
- Step 2: Enforce those rules with a vengeance.
- Step 3: Repeat.
Now, some people over at Project Welcome will have you believe that you are supposed to be all nice to n00bs. This is simply untrue. N00bs should be put in their rightful place as soon as the make their first edit: below our boots. No n00b would ever edit this wiki again if it were up to us, but since it isn't we will keep them in line with the ferocity of a sheep dog herding defenseless sheep in the beautiful Rhineland.
Application Process
Membership in the Wiki Gestapo is exclusive, as we want to maintain appearances as the harshest mother fuckers on the wiki. As such, evidence of your harshness must be submitted to ensure membership. Please provide this on the talk page.
Things which will be accepted:
- Spamming a horrible suggestion into oblivion
- Reporting an asshole to Vandal Banning
- Other miscellaneous rule nitpickery.
