about your question, the way you calculate it is you set an amount of Ap spend seaching, (100 Ap is easiest) you look up the search odds to see what you find. You then calculate the damage that would do.

Amount of shots found times the hit point damage a shot does times the Hit %

So a shotgun would do 7.5 shots found (at a Police Department) times 10 times 0.65 = 48.75 HP damage
and a pistol would do 48 shots (8 clip times 6 shot per clip) times 5 times 0.65 = 156 HP damage

you then calculate the amount of action points, you spend 100AP searching on the two so you devide it on both on them

Shotgun 50Ap searching 7.5 loading 7.5 firing is 65AP total
pistol 50AP searching 8 loading 48 firing is 106 total

you then devide the HP by the AP to get

Shotgun 0.75 Hp/Ap
Pistol 1.47 Hp/Ap or 0.8 and 1.5 rounded.

your new proposal changes the loading AP to 3,75 for shotguns and 2.66 for pistol.

New HP/AP would be

Shotgun 0.80 Hp/Ap
Pistol 1.55 Hp/Ap or 0.8 and 1.6 rounded.

a general 0.05 increase. or 2.4 damage a day or 16.8 Hp a week extra. With this you can make the case that it isn't overpowered. (next time calculate them beforehand it makes the people to vote keep easier) good luck!--Vista 16:40, 3 Jan 2006 (GMT)|

Timestamp: Whenever I finally figure out how to suggest it. Type: Game Mechanics Scope: Survivor/Zombie Description: I propose that at Midnight GMT that all Players, including zombies, get a 2 AP Bonus in addition to the one that they get from the half hour passing. I want to do this so that in stead of having to wait for 25 hours for a full 50 AP, you could just access UD at a time that u usually go onto it. Votes {{{suggest_votes}}}

The reason that the limit is slightly higher then Ap regeneration is that if you always play roughly at the same time you don't miss AP generation due to a maxed out limit. With your suggestion the chances of that happening is a lot greater. Learn to live playing with 48 AP is probably easiest. But that is just me.--Vista 23:38, 4 Jan 2006 (GMT)
