Thanks...

Thanks, I didn't quite know how to use the template. Fancy voting?

Thanks for the redirects

Thanks for picking up, and correcting my double redirects to the Shackleville Wastelands page. Musta been too late for that sorta stuff! Sorry 'bout that --  boxy  TtaMe  ~~~~~ 01:31, 12 August 2006 (BST)

Re: M/SD

Well, you're supposed to put it under a new ===Third Level Heading=== but it's no biggie. –Xoid STFU! 05:57, 9 August 2006 (BST)

If you spot any more...

Like the ones you mentioned here please report them to M/SD. Location pages are supposed to be created with a bare minimum of content, those that don't have anything are completely and utterly useless. Besides that, location pages aren't for group propaganda. You can say "We work in this area", etc, but "We own this area" is strictly POV. If you notice any of tat sort of garbage being posted anywhere, either correct it yourself if you have the time, or raise it on the location's talk page. –Xoid STFU! 06:09, 9 August 2006 (BST)

We never claimed to "own" an area, jeeze you guys get your panties in a twist easy. All I posted was "this area is within the Lockettside Boys turf" or "this area is at the northern edge of Lockettside Boys turf". We work in Lockettside and I simply wanted to set some boundries. If its such a big problem please delete it, its not worth the uproar it's already caused. - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Riggs (talkcontribs) 18:40, 9 August, 2006.

Lockettside

Greetings. I read over your message and wanted to say sorry first off, and I already had plans of adding information to each of those areas I marked, but at that moment I did not have time. Work and my family don't give me as much online time as I'd like. Anyways, it was all empty space, unused and unmarked by any other groups, I didn't figure it would be a big deal. As for not having a link to our group on each of the pages I will change that soon. Since a link to my group was already on the Lockettside wiki I did not feel it necessary. I don't play with the wiki all that much so I do not know how to add sections of suburbs to our wiki page, if you can direct me some place in which I could read about how, or send me the code to do so, it would be appreciated. Once again I am sorry for any problems. - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Riggs (talkcontribs) 18:34, 9 August, 2006.

Category:Groups/Stubs

After spending some time trying to clean up defunct pages, I've come to the comclusion that a lot of them are group pages. I'm of the opinion that groups encourage community and teamwork, as well as a healthy dose of comptetitiveness.

However, on the Wiki, groups are often created, by one user, and cast aside after a single update (the page's creation). This is frustrating in terms of maintenance, because time spent on telling new users (who I feel create a majority of the one man, never updated groups) how to create a serious group and update it well takes time away from where real work could be done.

I'm proposing the inclusion of a new category, Category:Groups/Stubs, as well as a template similar to the Template:Locations-stub with information directed back to Category:Groups, to help with this problem. A new requirement for groups on the Category:Groups page should instruct users to put the Groups/Stubs template on a new group page, so they will know what is expected for a group, where to find the information, as well as an incentive to create a real group, and not just a "stub" group (a weak or small one, as far as I'm concerned).

Groups who have had time (currently one month) to create a serious group page and fail to do anything beyond "Under Construction" or "We're based in Ackaland Mall and hate zombies!" are of no addition or use to the Wiki, and obviously of no importance to the user who created them in the first place.

I'm asking anyone interested to help develop and enhance this idea with comments, additions, or criticisms.

Sounds good to me. Stick a version at policy discussion --Darth Sensitive Talk W! 23:23, 1 September 2006 (BST)

Thanks, links

Thanks for picking up those internal links - I'm still new to using the Wiki and it's tools. Cheers, Ol (Silent Guido) 18:30 3 AUG 2006 (GMT+1)

Ackland

Yeah, we showed up at Ackland, but a little too late, I suppose. Took heavy casualties and are now falling back to Nichols Mall to try and regroup- maybe even make a better Ackland, who knows! Thanks a bunch for supporting us while you were there, though. It's fine folks like those at Ackland that make Malton a damn Classy place- despite the zombies. --Ron Burgundy 04:27, 16 July 2006 (BST)

ULC

Nah, we ain't a zombie group, not many of the members went for it so the idea kinda got canned after 3 weeks 'cause I couldn't get the group off the ground either. Pillsy 08:45, 8 August 2006 (BST)
