Greetings from Goolina

Hey there, thanks for not killing me in the mall. I got a nice new kilt, then went on a little hike around Stanbury before I was killed and dumped. Ah well...such is the life of Goolina. I saw you laying down on the job outside Blackmore the other day. Are you still in the area? Care to meet at Moggridge for a real-time battle? Might be fun. --Goolina Gore Corps 07:31, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. I was really only at Blackmore to check things out, I'm not real concerned about a push for Ridleybank like *ahem* some other people are...I'm hanging out in stanbury village right now but who knows where I'll be tomorrow. Just let me know when! --Benigno SSZ RCC 17:06, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm at Moggridge right now. I'm usually most active in the evenings, Pacific time. --Goolina Gore Corps 18:28, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Message from Moseley

Hey Binigno, good to hear from you. We are currenly holding the Stanbury Village office and Catherine Hospital against some serious zed aggression, coming out on top and even doing some revives along the way. On top of that, the SMI havn't given up trying to wipe us off the map although, compared to their efforts over the summer, it all seems a little lame.

Any help you could give us would be much appreciated. We've had a couple of Marshals drop by and lay down some extra fire, and with companions like that you kind of feel secure that people know you're the good guys.

With regard to the list of revives, we're trying to get people to post requests on our wiki page. There are a few names listed there but a lot of non-RRers are still just dispensing random revives to anyone who shows up including shmucks like Gravebait and, reportedly, RRF Gore Corps who proudly display their allegience on the profile. We're trying to rein this in but the non-RR ronin in our place are their own people really.

Anything else you need, or if you want me to ask my people to start recording the friendly rotters they revive, give me a shout.

Check this- getting off the grounds with our forums hosted on Brainstock for the time being. We need to do something, and it's a decent neutral common ground for us all to meet. If there's no objections by tomorrow, I'll post the details of our new forums. Cheers! --The Supreme Court 16:08, 16 September 2007 (BST)

Random Discussion

I wasn't sure if I were spoused to post here or make a new head, but anyway, just thought I'd let you know that Magatsu Taito is Scott Segals alt, so that why I voted for you... I don't want you to think you have a stalker or something, would I? Anyway, see you around the SSZ! --Magatsu Taito 22:31, 3 August 2007 (BST)

Nah I don't really have a set of rules when it comes to the talk page. And having a stalker on UD I suppose isn't a bad thing...thanks for the vote again! --Benigno SSZ RCC 01:27, 4 August 2007 (BST)

Hey, I already allied HGRadio with the ZD under this name. We died again though, so w/e. I'm not the one to talk to in the Mob for alliance requests. You can post a thread here http://seloth.proboards100.com/index.cgi though if you'd like. Mr. Shadows is our leader. --DragRag 20:00, 13 Feb 2007 EST

I will do so. Do I need to add Hazard Genocide Radio to the list of supporting groups on the SSZ wiki? --Benigno 02:58, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey Benigno, I have just noticed how much you are involved in the affairs of the SSZ. You might want to know that I suggested changes to the Roftwood barricade plan similar to those of the Tollyton BP. Another suggestion will follow shortly for Edgecombe and the UBP got reviewed too :) I'll check Shackleville and Stanbury later this weak, but I might make no new suggestions there.

As your group seems to disband, please let me invite you to continue your work in the DEM. Your kind is very much appreciated and you might find this group just as suitable for you as it is for me. Lots of sources of information, established networks for Malton-wide communication and more members than anywhere else provide the perfect ground for anyone seeking to help and unite mankind. Although a lot has already been done and thought of by DEM members, you might still be able to contribute to the group, so please consider your option carefully.--Paul Power 18:40, 7 July 2008 (BST)

You wanted to know our numbers and I suppose I'll best answer here - it's my first dialogue on the wiki ;)
We have a total of about 400 members, trying to cover all of Malton. Most members (about 3/4) are stationary, assigned to suburbs.
Simple math says that you can expect an average of about 3 people per suburb - with the SSZ covering or touching 10 suburbs, you can expect about 30 DEM members here. As we use River Tactics, not all suburbs have personnel stationed all the time, so some might be temporarily abandonned while others have temporary support from other suburbs or mobile teams.
You can get all info you need before joining from wiki sites though, they are linked in the DEM template on the bottom of my user page. I especially suggest having a look at the recruitment and MPD-CoC in your case. As the DEM isn't a group itself, but rather a very close alliance, we have different chains of command in each branch - but the approach of dividing Malton into Divisions, districts and suburbs is the same. Only higher officer ranks are listed on the CoC page.
We communicate mainly via our forums at Brainstock (reports of our work + discussions, plans etc). What I like about it is that it is actually used :) Most sections are closed, but there is room for public communication (and PMs) too in case you don't want to join right away.
We offer real time communication too, but it's not used that much.
Your will to work for progress and contacts to other groups and individuals would both perfectly fit the spirit of the DEM.
My impression of your group disbanding was pointed to the ZDers. In case you found a new home with the RER, you could still stay in contact with us for mutual support.
Your buddy Kiddy seems to have idled out, but I remember Scott Segal positively. Hope to hear of you soon! --Paul Power 22:39, 7 July 2008 (BST)

so both vere cinema and whale build will be on EHB? that's insane. and why you've crossed out Mayo Row PD?--Duke Garland 20:03, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I crossed out mayo row because of what was on it's page, and as far as entry points go look at the map! there's too many entry points around nichols. I was outside a shit load of times and Whale was always over-barricaded. So I tried an experiment and un-designated it. Unfortunately it caused a shit storm so I put it back. I apologize. Really, I should have posted on the forums first and made it a group decision, of course. I was just trying an experiment. The good thing is, at least Whale will be enforced as an entry point now...--Benigno 22:03, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I am PR for Ghetto Cow. Did you want to join? or do you just not know much about the wiki? --Ev933n / Talk PPGC 18:22, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Suggested Barricade Plan for Edgecombe

<map deleted>

At first glance i'd say there are a lot of VSB buildings. and also you have the radio mast building at VSB. Is that a good idea considering the current suburb status? Kiddy 11:54, 25 May 2007 (BST)

The number of VSB buildings I think is fine, you really have to keep the suburb accessible. Most people will probably over-cade anyway; the important ones are the entry points, the resource buildings, and the NTs. I tried to put EHB safehouses in strategic locations. I didn't mean to VSB the mast though. Also, do you think Denis General Hospital should be EHB too? --Benigno SSZ RCC 17:37, 25 May 2007 (BST)
I think it'd be a good idea to make it EHB at least one of the 3 in that area should be totaly secure Kiddy 02:48, 26 May 2007 (BST)
Also can i add that at last one of the centeral PDs should be EHB (Pavy Plaza)also there a two together in the SE corner perhaps keeping one EHB (Stadling Walk PD) would be a good idea. Kiddy 15:07, 27 May 2007 (BST)
Ok I changed Denis General to EHB, and also the Cape Ave. PD. Standing walk makes a good entry point to the Maver NT, but Cape Ave makes a good EHB safehouse. Anything else you think needs to be changed? --Benigno SSZ RCC 22:44, 27 May 2007 (BST)
I think Cape Ave needs to stay VSB++, because a lot of the newbies in the area, me included, are using it as their only way to get ammo. The other PDs are presently locked up to EHB, so if ya need a safehouse, that might be a better idea. Just my opinion, at least.--Echo 01:19, 24 June 2007 (BST)
No problem! --Benigno SSZ RCC 19:31, 24 June 2007 (BST)
Alright, sweet. We're using the PD to get ammo that we use for defense while we make runs to the Hospitals for FAKs. The hospitals have actually been drawing some 20-30+ mobs of Zeds...might wanna keep an eye on 'em...--Echo 01:13, 25 June 2007 (BST)

Pimbank

I know it's been nearly two years since you made it but is there any chance you could update your barricade plan for Pimbank to make it more secure? (i.e. less VSB buildings). The current plan, while very low level friendly, leaves the suburb vunerable as VSB cades are obviously much easier to destroy than EHB ones. There are a couple of comments to this effect on the plans talk page as well so it's not just me. -- Lynch 19:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

UDWiki:Project Timeline

Hey Benigno. It's good to see some old school players still around. You seem to have been active since about 2006. Care to weigh in on CoL, CMS Alliance of Giddings or any of the other goings on in 2006? Right now, I'm looking to nail down some dates on group formation and events for inclusion on UDWiki:Project Timeline. Eventually, I'll need contributors and/or interviews for the timeline subpages. Any help would be appreciated. ~Vsig.png 18:21, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I see. I saw you listed as holding a seat on the CoL. The split that occurred and the formation of a third group is a bit confusing to me. Still, if your interested in sharing your experiences with UD, I'd be willing to listen. ~Vsig.png 19:28, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Holy carp!

I remember you! You led the first group I ever joined! (And the first group IRC…) I've since moved on somewhat (in fact, I barely play/am active except in the metagame, but I've been through a hell of a lot of groups and playstyles in the meantime)… good to see you back, man! How goes? ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 06:44, 16 April 2012 (BST)

It goes well! I haven't been too active in the metagame for the last few years. I'm trying to get things organized again nowdays. The SSZ

Currently on break from urbandead, but I might come back if I get the itch again. I wouldn't say I have one specific area, I just go where I think I'm needed or a specific building for NTscan. Basically a generic pro-survivor with no tags to any groups --Greenwarrior

Hi there

Sorry pal, I'm with the Malton Police Department right now, and I advise you to do the same ;)

And I took a look at the SSZ, how smart is it to have the SSZ in/next to RRF territory, knowing those guys cross the Zone daily to get to Pitneybank? Maybe we should reconsider the location of the entire zone?

Greetz and good luck surviving! -- Johnny Twotoes 17:51, 8 July 2012 (BST)

I think the MPD (and other member groups of the DEM) should set up permanent bases within the Zone's perimeter. The Core region (western Roftwood) provides an excellent base of operations to service any area of Malton. But, to answer your question:
One of the reasons the Zone was established was in direct response to the existence of the RRF. At one time (like in 2007) the area was strong enough that the RRF alone couldn't topple it - their best bet was to assist in sieges such as the Mall Tours or LUE's rampage. Now, however, there are significantly less players in the area, and the RRF definitely has the upper hand. For the Zone to be basically secure it takes around 1000 people, evenly distributed among the Zone's tactical resources. It also takes a high level of coordination and communication.
I think what it comes down to is a matter of ultimate goals. What is the future of a situation such as this? Let's say we established a new network of survivor support somewhere else in Malton. Would this ultimately end in a "separate but equal" scenario? Would any sort of victory be able to be declared? With the Zone in its current location, if it was fully manned (which is entirely possible), we could theoretically hold Ridleybank in a symbolic victory and a symbol of survivor resilience. There is nowhere else in the city that can be claimed as the "zombie homeland" besides Ridleybank, so no greater symbolic victory could be achieved elsewhere.
Of course, this begs the question of if there is any real "victory scenario" at all in this game. Do we even want a "victory" to be our ultimate goal? I think this game is more about hearts & minds, the different philosophies that survivors and zombies have. It's not that all survivors want to create and all zombies want to destroy - it's a very complex situation. I don't think that most zombies posses hatred of life at their core, that's just a few of them. For the most part we probably all want the same thing - things like freedom, community, and happiness, and a defense of those values from those who wish to destroy it. We see people who want to destroy on both zombie and survivor sides, so it's bigger than just being a survivor or a zombie. Perhaps one day, we can all get along. --Benigno SSZ RCC 02:08, 9 July 2012 (BST)

Greetings from SV

Hey! Nice to meet the leader of the ZDers. I moved to SV to help fortify the zone's border malls and have moved between Tynte and Nichols but the latter has become a full time job. SV's been in flux for awhile. We take and retake various buildings but once we get anywhere close to our northern borders, a core of 4-5ish zeds do coordinated attacks, get past the barricades, and we're too undermanned to fight them all back before ferals start showing up and ruin the party. I can't speak for others but a lot of us spend time between Roftwood and SV (either for revives, gathering supplies, or assisting in mall takebacks) and I've always got a radio tuned to 26.17 User:Claypidgeon 10:29, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

How many do you have with you? We have a stronger foothold in Roftwood and I'm familiar with the RRF's timed attacks. We can time our defenses against them with adequate intelligence. I'd say come on over! --Benigno SSZ RCC 19:26, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Erasing talk page conversations

Hi Benigno! I just wanted to give you a heads-up that erasing a conversation from a neutral talk page (i.e. not yours or your group's) could be construed as vandalism. In general, try not to erase active conversations, even if you don't like the way that they're going. If a conversation seems generally agreed to be over, I encourage you to archive it, rather than simply wiping it. --Ɛňvϊoцᵴ (talk) 01:21, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
