D.D.D.S.

Hello Bulgakov, I am glad to hear from you. Your group seems to be doing a wonderful job keeping Rhodenbank a safe place. That is an accomplishment to be proud of. I am interested in hearing about any policies you have found to be effective and would like to share, or that you would like us to respect while in your suburb. I was also wondering, what is your group's stance on D.D.D.S. policy? --Matthew-Stewart 16:33, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)

My User Talk is the best place to get a hold of me. I point out our DEATH LIST policy is controversial just to be sure you are informed. Many believe it is a Kill-on-Sight-List however that is only a secondary and less important function, it's primary function is a don't-revive-list. It is D.D.D.S. policy to keep dangerous people as zombies, since zombies aren't allowed through barricades, have limited means to gather XP, and are subject to headshot.
As for a formal alliance, I am happy to list your group on our Link Section as allies, and also put respecting your group policies while in Rhodenbank on our Standard Procedures. I note I am not the "leader" of the D.D.D.S. as most assume. Our group really is about strategy and ideas, not following an individual, it isn't just hype. We don't even have a member list, each member personally chooses with whom he shares his identity on our forum which is character anonymous. Thus participation in any projects will be done on an individual-to-individual basis.
As groups I personally think the sharing of information would be very beneficial. Our BRAIN ROT LIST is a resource that would be useful to revivers of both our suburbs and would be a good point of collaboration. Also if your group discovers Serial PKer, Griefers, Zombie Horde members, Zergers, Zombie Spies, or Death Cultists please feel free to submit them to our DEATH LIST. Solidarity is a good thing and I hope that by working together we are able to make both our suburbs safer places. --Matthew-Stewart 17:38, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Thank you for replying. I am proud to list your group as allies. I understand and respect your "attack-zombies-only" stance in D.D.D.S. conflict with the Drunken Dead, I would hate to see them attack Rhodenbank out of spite. I must agree that the conflict with the Drunken Dead is an ugly affair but as they have openly posted their goal is to destroy Dulston I don't think we're unjustified in assuming them dangerous, especially with the number of open death cultists that group has.--Matthew-Stewart 18:47, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Thanks for the O.D.D. update on the D.D.D.S. page. :-) --Matthew Stewart 02:08, 7 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Come then; think of Pwotters as being more in line with Behemoth. We'll gladly count in German before tearing the head off of a maestro. And I feel that Behemoth, the indulgent sort that he is, would appreciate anything akin to prom bitches. -- Ruining 21:28, 25 Jan 2006 (EST)

Wanted to know if anyone from your group is heading down to Caiger. I'm here to get my payback for the fall of Treweeke. --TheTeeHeeMonster 22:14, 31 Jan 2006 (GMT)

F.R.E.E.Z.E.

sorry so long on the reply. i don't usually check the discussion page on the group wiki page. i didn't even notice anyone had posted anything there until just a second ago. =/ wasn't ignoring your request - just didn't see it. yes, we would love to ally with your group. we are currently forming other alliances with groups in the NW corner of Malton. if you are still working in this neck of the woods - we'd enjoy working with you. if you are in the central/slightly-east-side of malton where we were operating before - we'd still be interested in allying with you - in case our members, or your members ever happen to traverse each others territories. if/when you reply to this - move it to my user discussion page. i check that fairly frequently and will notice something there sooner than i will notice something on our group discussion page. also - you are welcome to contact me via email at the address provided in F.R.E.E.Z.E.'s group contact information. i'll get, and respond to those messages the quickest. sincerely, --Firemanstan 19:16, 30 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Brynjolf

Hi Bulgakov, thanks for tidying up my wiki entry. Not much experience of wiki editing - I just try and figure things out as I go along - but if you need a hand anytime let me know and I'll see what I can do. And I hope this edit of your discussion page has come out right! --Brynjolf 08:40, 4 March 2006 (GMT)

MFD

Sorry to be getting back to you so late, but the MFD is indeed interested in an alliance. Drop on by the Brainstock forums and say hello. I'll be sure to get you set up with our DEM Ally Intel section so you can participate in our intel sharing. Also, our chief has coded up a PK database that is going to be moderated by a few firemen and a few zombies (one from the DOA, one from the RRF, and one from the MoTA) so we're being fair on all sides. This is going to be an absolutely impartial list so don't hesitate to report your bounties there as well. I look forward to hearing from you. --Torvus 01:22, 25 March 2006 (GMT)

One of your members is already at our site and actively participating. He goes by Tirion529 if that rings a bell. As for my representation in the DEM, well, it's a fair bit substantial. I'm the Assistant Chief for the MFD, the Superintendant for NE Malton, and the Senior Drill Instructor for the MCDU. I have a fair amount of say and influence, if that's what you're wondering. --Torvus 00:59, 7 April 2006 (BST)
I'll do you one better. Hop on over to the brainstock forums or I can go over to yours and we can discuss strategy there. We have a private forum set up for allies that standard members can't view. It's invite only and we already have folks from most every other survivor group of significant size involved with that forum. Trust me, you'll have considerably better luck getting a hold of me there than here or email. Site is Brainstock and I hope to see you there. --Torvus 05:17, 8 April 2006 (BST)

Hey Bulgakov, I'm the new Chief and head of all operations for the Malton Fire Department I just wanted to take a second and tell ya that your message has been recieved and we have replied to you on our forums. Also you seem rather annoyed in your message on our wiki so I'd like to also let ya know that rather than waiting "months" to complain you could have come to us at any time. We are a friendly group and we want to know if our members are doing something against policy. However, it isn't our policy to cover up your tags in that area and I've talked to my men about it. In my reply to you on our forums I also posted up the MFD policy on spraying over other pro-survivor groups tags as it has been written in our handbooks since I started, and it is the law as far as I'm concerned with our guys. In the future please feel free to PM me personally rather than posting on our Wiki and our forums ...it would be much quicker and I'm the one who chops heads anyway.--Kristi of the Dead 00:29, 14 June 2006 (BST)

How d' y' do?

Hey, bulgakov!

I'm just writing in to tell you of all of the wonderful things I've seen over the past month. Man, am I bushed! First, I went to see the Upshall Monument. There were a lot of zombies waiting for revivification there. I helped a few out, but there were too many, and I ran out of syringes! That's too bad, too. The rest were mad and started attacking me! After the run-in at the Upshall, I decided to go see what was to see at the Brain Museum. There were a lot of cool exhibits. I also went to see Marcellus General Hospital. People were mean there. I was attacked. Also, around my tour of Rhodenbank, I stumbled into Dulston. This was a total accident, but I decided to go for it and make the best of things. Dulston got boring fast. I just went back to the Anstruther Building and took a long well-earned rest.
Oh, well. It's getting late. The zombies tend to come out more in the evenings. For old times' sake, talk to you later!
--Matt guthrie 00:39, 22 March 2006 (GMT)

Howdy matt! I'm flattered that you chose to spend some of the precious moments your mommy let you on the computer to write me. Keep me posted on your travels, chum! --Bulgakov 01:53, 6 April 2006 (BST)

I don't understand why you need to be a dick to me all the time. I just helped a few of your groupies out in a NT building, anyway. I suggest you answer the questions on my user page for entertainment purposes. Or don't, it's your choice.--Matt guthrie 09:04, 8 April 2006 (BST)

Responded to you on your user page.--Bulgakov 17:44, 8 April 2006 (BST)

I don't like being you mad at me all the time. Can we cut this out and give you a one point lead? --Matt guthrie 18:16, 9 April 2006 (BST)

The only way I can truly express my thanks is with this one phrase: "I love you, man." Yes, let's go kill some zombies. --Matt guthrie 12:26, 10 April 2006 (BST)

Master and Margarita!

I think you may enjoy this image[1]. I don't think it has anything to do with the book, but that just makes the similarities more interesting. --Ron Burgundy 03:53, 14 April 2006 (BST)

Regarding your accusations

I wish to draw your attention to the term Death cultist. Spying is limited to information gathering only, and that we do not do. However, if you revive us, be prepared for some of us (It is not group policy for revived members to go insane and kill everyone, it is just permitted) to blast your brains out the back of your heads and do our utmost to sabotage your efforts (including generator smashing and PKing). We consider it a lesson to you humans not to use syringes as a weapon of convenience, and a lesson in the school of hard knocks. You really should be using those syringes to revive your dead anyway. Feel free to gun down members who prove themselves hostile, but be warned that those of us who do not practice these acts will report you to PKing lists if you harm us without proof of our doing harm. --Grim s 20:00, 15 April 2006 (BST)

Response:

Personally i dont much care what they do as a human so long as they dont spy. This means that they can walk into a building of yours banging a drum and singing "We're gonna cut yer tonkers off" all night long. If they change thier group representation, good for them, if they dont, hooray. I have never said that a Drunken Dead member should not PK or GK (And encourage the pking of the reviver, as the reviver has brought it upon himself by combat reviving the zombie in question). However, not all of us do do that, some are more hostile than others. If one of them attacks you, feel free to report him. However if you make an unprovoked attack on one of us, expect us to report you back. Honestly, you are taking this far too seriously. We are a roving band of drunken thugs that happen to eat brains, as such a large amount of thuggery is permitted to all members, including gangland style executions. The simplist solution to all this is to not revive us. --Grim s 07:19, 18 April 2006 (BST)

G'day, Bulgakov!

Hello, Bulgakov! You may not know me at all, but I'm a member of the RCDC who's been lounging around here and there, interjecting the occasional comment, etc.

But, I was thinking: should we have userboxes for our members? Let's face it, everyone loves those templates...

Anyways, just a thought there. --NomaderTalk 04:30, 19 May 2006 (BST)

Fine by me on the Starr Building - I'm encorporating the "Poor Spellers" link somewhere into the article, but it'll be done within the hour - consider the picture gone. Also, I have the template made up: you can find it at Template:RCDC. --NomaderTalk 18:03, 20 May 2006 (BST)
I understand. Delete what you will. And bad grammar? How could I have bad grammar? (SHOCK) Also, any word on the RCDC template I mentioned above? --NomaderTalk 17:15, 22 May 2006 (BST)
Good to hear! Maybe we could get our little army on here, hm? Although, I'm not sure if that'd be a good thing or not... --NomaderTalk 02:13, 23 May 2006 (BST)

LCD

I dont think Maul meant RCDC but just the survivors in general in Rhoden.Much noobs there --DarthRevan 19:47, 19 May 2006 (BST)

Well we cant actually point you out since we left Rhodenbank. If you ever require our help call us.Farewell for now. --DarthRevan 19:28, 20 May 2006 (BST)

Just a quick point, you accidentally deleted the LCD thing on the Hindmarsh page. I put it back. We may have the majority of our forces out ATM, but Hindmarsh is still home. MaulMachine U! 19:11, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Your suggestion

...has been moved to the Suburbs discussion page. The suggestions page is for suggestions to improve the game, not suggestions for the wiki. Please go to the relevant pages discussion page for that kind of suggestion. --Grim s-Mod 01:45, 21 May 2006 (BST)

Rasputin

Well. . . Your mama.

Holy Crap, . . . I just got burned. XD --Duce Nauks 17:13, 21 May 2006 (BST)

response

Hey Bulgakov, I read that too, and being one of the zombie players I understand that if I killed, I'll just add the person on my contacts list and if I see them again then I'll waste them; or I'll see that its an RCDC member and just say something strange to them, like "Rabble rabble sploosh bag!" which looks really cool with Death Rattle. But basically, zombie players being killed is a given, no matter whom it is. That's the point of the game; to kill the zombies; and we kinda had to have understood that when we signed up. Best of wishes. --CaptainM 20:21, 11 June 2006 (BST)

FYI

I quote "- saves you IP hits, and will be really handy in malls.--Bulgakov 16:29, 10 June 2006 (BST)" Checking profiles does not take IP hits. --wcil 12:12, 14 June 2006 (BST)

Scent Strength says "In the case where more than one human has the highest level, only the most recently active would display the symbol." Now, in a mall with 50+ people, the most active ones will be at the bottom of the list. So one needs to expand the userlist anyway, in no way saving IPs. --wcil 17:26, 14 June 2006 (BST)

Your Map

Image is still there. The link is on the Rhodenbank talk page. I modified the image's page to give more than adequete warning for moderators to not delete it. –Xoid STFU! 17:44, 17 June 2006 (BST)

Thank you for your "wiki friendly" comment. It's not wiki friendly, it's internet friendly. An image that is a full megabyte takes ages to download on 56k. Despite no longer being burdened with dialup, I am sick and tired of people constantly using the wrong format for the job. The reason I did not use that image inline was due to said astronomical file size — an act of kindness towards the many people who don't have broadband.
Second, the hack job was to ensure visual consistency between the various location pages — logo specified in the location style guide in the upper left hand corner, group logo in the upper right hand corner. Since there are already so many pages that simply do not display correctly in anything less than 1280x960, and the powers that be (read: Grim s, Nubis and co.) don't want to fix that, and have actively worked against that, then it seems 1280x960 becomes the resolution that the site uses by default.
If you want to change that, "philosophy of uncaring" as I call it, then by all means speak up when these arguements start up, and help me make them see the average wiki-goer's veiw point. –Xoid STFU! 05:03, 18 June 2006 (BST)
When I said "philosophy of uncaring" I was talking mainly in regards to prevalent "There are people without 19" monitors? Who gives a shit!" attitude of more than a few. Unsuprisingly, Odd Starter is one of the two mods who has indicated that the layout on the main page needs to change to be more accesible to those without large monitors. (Can you guess who the other was?)
"…maybe you might ponder whether you're not also part of that problem. That's been my experience with you so far, anyway." — excuse me? If anything I care too much about this wiki, having invested an extroadinary amount of time and effort into tasks that most people wouldn't even consider undertaking. Especially the tedious maintenance tasks — who in their right mind would waste 10 straight hours fixing pages?
Regardless, the "Map of Rhodenbank" should really be on the RCDC's page (or a subpage of it); and Rhodenbank should use the {{BarricadePlan}} template — to try and ensure visual consistency between as many of the suburb pages as possible. (Unless your map designer is willing to do barricade plans in the same style for every suburb that is…) –Xoid STFU! 08:39, 20 June 2006 (BST)

...Kill?

What a 'zerg flag' is…

Mr. non-programmer, a flag is boolean variable that tells you whether something is true or not.

How one acquires one, how long it lasts, and how one gets rid of it…

A character's "zerg flag" is set to true when the server detects that the character is zerging.

How whatever "zerg profiling" might be in effect is actually acting to the detriment of zombie actions as opposed to survivor actions…

This flag is then read when performing calculations, like when hitting a barricade or firing a gun. A character with the "zerg flag" set to true recieves harsh penalties. Like a 0% chance to hit. Currently, when someone who is zerging barricades a building they receive no penalty whatsoever. Zombies attacking a barricade do. This is an unfair double-standard, where the cheating done by one side is penalised, but the cheating done by another goes unpunished. –Xoid STFU! 09:46, 19 June 2006 (BST)

I was about to say the same (without many of the technical terms) and you beat me to it (Edit conflict). You're mean Xoid =P. --Matthew Fahrenheit 10:02, 19 June 2006 (BST)
Usually. I was sorely tempted just put "RTFM n00b!", but when was the last time someone actually did that? –Xoid STFU! 10:06, 19 June 2006 (BST)
Actually, someone beated you to say that. Not nice, not nice at all ^_^ --Matthew Fahrenheit 10:10, 19 June 2006 (BST)

Responded to Xoid on his user page. Thanks for the lecture, but that wasn't really what I was getting at. Phrased my objection poorly. Changed my vote, explained why. You guys are swell! Are we done?--Bulgakov 08:01, 20 June 2006 (BST)
