Medics of Malton Forums

Doc Crook was kind enough to set up a forums for group members to use to communicate. I highly suggest that you take a moment of your time to register there, as we will be trying to shift most discussion over there. Have a great day! --Pedentic 02:37, 1 August 2007 (BST)

Some things I deleted.

Alright, I had some reasons for deleting some things off the wiki. If I offended anyone, I am greatly sorry.

On the recruitment page, I got rid of the applications that were already accepted.
If they were a member, why would they still need an application?

On the character description, 8 threads below on 'Doc Crooks input', it seemed that the 'animal' section was unnecessary. It made the rest of the input seem thoughtless. We are Medics, not animals.
-Doc Crook 20:44, 22 July 2007 (BST)
I see your reasons, sir. In regards to them, I made a new page to house the now outdated member applications. Also, you can feel more than welcome to edit your own posts on all Medics of Malton pages. There is no problem with that. The issue only arises when you modify other people's pages. I, for one, am glad that this unpleasantness is now behind us. Medics of Malton, unite! --Pedentic 02:28, 23 July 2007 (BST)

UD description

You described Ash off of Pokemon. Except fo the shirt, its Ash.
'Looking like he sprung out of a 90's SNES game, this youth sports a pair of red tennis shoes, white ankle socks, denim shorts, a stylish blue and yellow horizontally striped t-shirt, a leather backpack, and his signature red baseball cap with a blue bill.'

On the contrary, Pokemon was not released on the SNES. Is it possible that Ash's appearance was ripped off an earlier game? You may wish to do some more research. --Pedentic 14:31, 17 July 2007 (BST)
More people will think its Ash, than a snes character. Ness was made a year before Pokemon, and Pokemon is a more widespread brand than Earthbound. Doc Crook 06:00, 19 July 2007 (BST)
Actually, it doesn't bother me much what people are going to think. I chose the description for me. But I thank you for the point, I hadn't noticed that.--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 04:08, 21 July 2007 (BST)

Temporary Forum

I've made a temporary forum to house internal discussion. It can be found here. You should probably add it to your watchlist. --Pedentic 13:18, 16 July 2007 (BST)

Forum and Ranks

TOPIC 1: I'll begin looking into the possibilities of a forum, but do you think that a wiki page here is too public? I ask because I don't know how sensitive information about our workings is, and have some knowledge of making wiki pages. If it's a wiki page, then everyone on the wiki will be able to read it. Also, what sorts of things do people usually do on forums? Coordinate? Plan? Bake cookies? Your input is appreciated. --Pedentic 20:02, 12 July 2007 (BST)
TOPIC 2: I think it might be helpful to have some sort of ranking system to distinguish our members. Currently on the member roster we are the only two with positions other than "medic." However, I do not know what sort of criteria we would use to evaluate each member's contributions. This is more difficult because the current whereabouts of at three of our seven members are unknown, and all three of those have not edited the wiki since joining our group. Have you thoughts concerning this matter? --Pedentic 20:02, 12 July 2007 (BST)

Number Seven and other thing(s)

We're up to seven members! Feel free to stop by the talk page of the new one and say hi. --Pedentic 15:06, 11 July 2007 (BST)

Also, our newest member asked an interesting question: do we have a forum so that we (the group members) can keep in contact over the entire city? I'm considering starting one, but do you think that a subpage of the group page is too public? If so, I can look into finding a free host somewhere. What say you?
That sounds like a reasonable idea to me, but I'm gonna let you head up that project because, well, I have no idea how.--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 16:00, 12 July 2007 (BST)

Hi Ho diggity!

I'm heading back up to Yagoton (specifically the Whatmore Building) to aid the survivor forces there. You're welcome to join, ye bane of Survivor Victory. Maybe your stigma can be reversed... --Pedentic 16:56, 9 July 2007 (BST)

A few things

Firstly, I'm not going to be on this week (vacation). Second, if possible, could you go revive MCFD2? He's currently dead and somewhere near you I think. Contact him for a more specific location. I think that's all...oh wait. If there are any new members, I guess it's up to you to handle that. You can look at this one if you need an example. Have a great week! --Pedentic 03:25, 2 July 2007 (BST)

Number 6! and other thing(s)

Membership is up to 6! You may want to stop by there and say hi. Also, at this point, do you think we should consider some sort of ranking system? That is, something other than "medic" to put in the member roster. Surgeon? Intern? I request your input. That's all for now. Good luck getting a revive. :) --Pedentic 03:51, 30 June 2007 (BST)

Doc Crooks input

  • We could have upgrades depending on our stats

We have two people without codes or locations. We could also have KIA and MIA

All we got are 'Medics', we need something different. If we do get different, then we have to have some of the same names. Everybody being something different is weird.

Some skills could even be focus points for labels.

Shopping gets Scavenger.could be better. Ideas? Needs to be simple.
Any Combat skills add up to Combat Medic.
NT experience gets Scrub.
Above are the first three levels.

Fist Aid is a given for Medic.
Headshot gets Vet.lol
Diagnosis gets the Doctor status.
Surgery gets Surgeon.
Tagging gets Intern. could be better. Ideas?
Lab experience gets Gravedigger.

And certian Zombie skills get you bad names. Its too much to kick someone out cause they turned into a zombie and destroyed stuff. Being a medic sometimes gets boring.

So, if having your animal instinct kick in is a blast, here is your name.

Lurching Gait and Ankle Grab are ok to have, as they help you.

Infectious Bite gets Rabid Animal.
Memeories of Life gets Trained Animal
Feeding Drag gets Hungry Animal.
Ransack gets Vicious Animal.

Move Orders Request

I am dead and at a revive point in Shearbank at the moment, but I think that I'll take a day or so to restock at Stickling Mall after getting a revive. From there, where should I go? Yagoton is dead. --Pedentic 03:05, 29 June 2007 (BST)

I don't really know right now as I have been occupied here at the Blackmore Building. I would prefer you at the Blackmore, but as that is not an option I would say try to find a suburb that would be good to use as a base and isn't as far away from everything as Dulston.--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 16:37, 29 June 2007 (BST)

Another New One

We're up to five members! I'm awaiting a bit more information before move orders are assigned. It might be good if you stop by here and here to welcome our newest members, you being the group leader and all. Also, please update your location on the member roster. If the coding confuses you, just leave me a note and I'll explain it to ya. Have a great day!
--Pedentic 12:29, 26 June 2007 (BST)

Also, "mom" now redirects to the group page. --Pedentic 12:40, 26 June 2007 (BST)

A New One

We've got a new member. I've reviewed them, and posted a welcome here. Do with this knowledge what you will. --Pedentic 04:00, 23 June 2007 (BST)

Also, would it be helpful to have a "Location" field on the member roster table? Perhaps one that each member updates themselves? Just an idea. --Pedentic 04:14, 23 June 2007 (BST)

Move Order Request

I'd like to request a change of post, sir. Treweeke Mall is very much safe, as is nearly every other mall in Malton. I cannot come to The Blackmore Building because there is a different character from my ip there. If you've any suggestions, or know of any hotspots at the moment, please let me know that I can make myself useful. Also, I've put up an ad over on the Recruitment page. Feel free to edit it however you see fit. --Pedentic 01:21, 20 June 2007 (BST)

Could I request Yagoton? From my research, a decent-sized force of zombies is expected there soon, and the Necrotechs there along with Bale Mall could probably use the services of a highly-trained medical professional. I await your reply, sir. --Pedentic 01:37, 20 June 2007 (BST)
Yagoton sounds fine to me, though I fear that walking back in there will cause some nice repeat history and I will be unable to survive for more than a day. I will go anyway however, for the greater good.--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 16:36, 20 June 2007 (BST)
Wait a moment! I thought that you were at the Blackmore Building! That location is of far more importance at this point! I would strongly urge you to consider this carefully. I, however, am heading this day to Yagoton, to see where I can be of assistance. --Pedentic 22:39, 20 June 2007 (BST)
I feel that Wykewood needs my help, So I am going to be in St.Egberts Church from now till the cemetary dies down, wait, till it empties. Doc Crook 21:10, 16 July 2007 (BST)

Shiny Template

If you want to use it, put {{MedicsofMalton}} on a page. It makes the following:

Redcross.jpg Medics of Malton
This user is a member of, or otherwise supports the efforts of the
Medics of Malton.

--Pedentic 00:32, 17 June 2007 (BST)

On the double!

It has come to my attention that the Blackmore Building over in Ridleybank could greatly use the assistance of some highly trained medical personnel. Feel like a jaunt into the heart of zombie Malton? --Pedentic 05:46, 16 June 2007 (BST)

Also, I'm going to add (possibly have added before you see this) a member listing to the group page. --Pedentic 18:14, 16 June 2007 (BST)
Hi Ho Diggety it on over to the Blackmore Building then. --Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 23:23, 16 June 2007 (BST)
But I need a day to resupply.--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 23:24, 16 June 2007 (BST)

Speling Striks Agian

G'day mate! On your main user page there is a spelling error that I think to be unintentional. Can you find it? --Pedentic 04:07, 8 June 2007 (BST)

Isidore.gif Saint Isidore Is Watching
Have you checked your spelling?

The Purple-ish color

Is the color we're using for Medics of Malton (the same as the one in our signatures) the color you want on the template I'm making for us? --Pedentic 12:36, 1 June 2007 (BST)

Recruiting

It may be worth our time to post over on the Recruitment page. If that sounds as though it would be worth our time, go ahead with it. --Pedentic 12:02, 29 May 2007 (BST)

Defying search percentages

On my first four searches of the local hardware store, I found 3 spraycans in an unpowered section. I hereby dub myself Supreme Advertising Commander for the Medics of Malton. What say ye? --Pedentic 20:34, 27 May 2007 (BST)

I say me "weeheeehee."--Chesh SmalinT! MIC MM 21:55, 27 May 2007 (BST)

Well done

Nice. --Pedentic 18:10, 18 May 2007 (BST)

By the way, I added a section on the group pgae in regards to joining. Please let me know/edit it if you disagree with any of the requirements I drew up. Also, I changed the wording significantly throughout the mission statement, and played with the group box a bit more. As always, make any changes you see fit. --Pedentic 20:34, 19 May 2007 (BST)

A possibility

In regards to our goup, we might consider allying with the League of Malton Physicians. All one of them. Just a thought. --Pedentic 02:26, 17 May 2007 (BST)

Also, I made some alterations to my group page. --Pedentic 02:36, 17 May 2007 (BST)

. and ?

Firstly, feel free to check out the prototype group page and feel free to play with it to improve/finish it. Also, if you don't mind my asking, why did you blank your talk page? If you wanted to clean it up, you could just create an archive subpage. If you want, I could help you with that. Pedentic 03:05, 13 May 2007 (BST)
