Welcome to our Wiki

Hi Chief Seagull! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.

General Editing
  • Never delete someone else's edits, comments, responses, etc. off community pages. To do so is considered vandalism.
  • If you write a comment it's useful to sign it so that other editors will know who wrote it. You can write "{{User:TripleU/Sig}} 10:13, 14 February 2017 (UTC)" at the end of your comment to sign it, or there's this button Sign.png on the top of the edit page that will sign for you if you want.
  • You may want to know how your edits will look before they have been saved, to make sure that nothing is wrong. Use the "Preview" button before the "Save" button - it's your friend!
  • If you're slow in your editing and there's an editing conflict, you might not understand the error that you get. The easiest way to overcome the edit conflict is to copy whatever you have been writing, go back with your browser, and then re-enter the edit page so that you can add your edits without deleting those made before yours.
  • The wiki is a collaborative project, please do your best to work well with fellow editors.

Further help for editing the wiki can be found on the Help page.

Project Mentor

Project Mentor has been set up to allow new wiki users to have a more experienced wiki veteran mentor them for the first few weeks. Visit its page for more information!

Your User Page

One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:Chief Seagull). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:Chief Seagull/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made.

User Talk Pages

Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:Chief Seagull). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place.

However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment.

If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format:

==Message title==

Your message goes here

When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this:

==Message title==

Your message

:User's reply

The Suggestions Page

We know that as a new user, you want to share your ideas with us. But a community as big as ours has already seen all kind of suggestions, and it's possible that we've already seen something very similar to the ideas you have. Follow these simple guidelines to make sure that your suggestion gets the respect that it deserves:

  • We strongly recommend that you read the Suggestions Dos and Do Nots and the Frequently Suggested Ideas pages so that you will have an idea of what kind of suggestions are likely to be accepted and what kind are ridiculous in the eyes of the community. The pages might look long and time-consuming to read, but you will find them entertaining and helpful.
  • It may be helpful to wait a few days to get a feel for the wiki and the other users before subjecting your idea to any possible criticism. If you're unsure, the Suggestions Discussion page is good neutral territory to suggest, gather feedback, and refine your idea before officially submitting it.
  • Write your suggestion according to these steps. If it looks too complicated for you, ask for help.
  • You can't modify a suggestion that you've written once it has been posted on the Suggestions page. You can withdraw and resubmit it with changes later, but only do that if people liked your original suggestion while requesting changes, not if it was Spaminated.
  • If you get stuck at ANY point in writing your suggestion, ask for help. There's no shame in being new and after a few times, you'll get the hang of it.
Additional Contacts

If there's anything not covered by this introduction, you still have plenty of avenues to find some extra help. Project Welcome and Project Mentor are perfect starting points, but if you have something more pressing at hand, don't be afraid to get in touch with the administration staff.

Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!

If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! Keep seeing you around, but never said hi

As the header says, I seem to keep bumping into you, but haven't ever talked to you, so I thought I would. I know I've seen you around with MOB stuff, and then around the wiki in various places, and now you responded to the GSM request for Soldiers of Crossman, which is a group I'm an officer in. Lots of coincidental sightings of you, so I figured I'd just stop in, say hi, and see where else I might know you from, that way I don't keep being surprised whenever I see you. ;) Aichon 16:52, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Your edit

Please don't remove edits from other people without a good reason. Older news shouldn't be removed, only archived, for they have historical value. For a location page guideline, please refer to this article. Thank you. -- Kittithaj 09:53, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Admin Pages

Only sysops get to vote on vandal and misconduct cases. People have been reported to vandal banning themselves before for impersonating sysops and voting on these cases. Don't do it again. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 00:00, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Say please!... Nah just kidding - my bad, it was an honest mistake. Just one question though - although we can't vote on them, is it still okay for us plebs to comment on these cases? Chief Seagull talk 09:51, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but talk pages. Admin pages have them for this very purpose. (Apart from for Misconduct, I think where we can all comment on the actual case, maybe.)--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:10, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
What he said. The simple rule of thumb is if you have to ask if you can comment on a case or not, you should be putting your comment on the talk page. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! ...I love you. *is laughing so hard* Yagoton still needs rebuilding, so it's not the best time, as already alluded to, but that still just made my day.

Damnit, I'm going to have to explain that one to The Abandoned somehow.

They already look at me odd when I mention I have PKer friends. This isn't going to help my case. *snorts*

Thanks for making Malton a funner place. :)

Where can I find?

A Gun in Judgewood. Finding one so far has been quite difficult with all police buildings I've found being heavy barricaded. If I'm gonna protect Judgewood I'm going to need one so you happen to know where I can find one? --Radio 04:02, 24 October 2010 (BST)

Yep, that's a toughie. The Grove is JW's only PD and its always heavily barricaded because its such a high profile target. Kenefie Lane Police Department in Chudleyton (4 clicks south of the Peet Building) should be VSB but I often find its overcaded too. You may have better luck with Gerrard Place Police Department in Roywood (3 SW from MacCarthy then 4 west) or Lamport Walk Police Department (9 clicks east of the Grove). ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 12:05, 24 October 2010 (BST)
Thanks for the information Grove is Extremely Heavily Barricaded with noone outside and Lamport is lightly barricaded with one zombie outside. I'm in Lamport if you were wondering. --Radio 22:36, 24 October 2010 (BST)

Hospital Problem

Got a killed got a infection stood up died got revived and all because my infection just won't go away. Unless I camp by the revive point I think we need to remove the barricade from some buildings. Anyways You know a hospital in or near judgewood that I could cure my infection at. --Radio 03:16, 28 October 2010 (BST)

Yep, there's a lot of overbarricading going on at the moment. Maria General Hospital is normally kept VSB but probbaly isn't right now. If you can get yourself over to the Peet Building, which is where Doctor Parrot (i.e. me) is based at the moment. If you're still alive, the entry point is the church next door. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 09:05, 28 October 2010 (BST)

A helping hand

Dear Cutey,

Well after making you not so cute, by virtue of death. I figured that such a darling like you would love to have a KOS status. So I took the liberty of reporting your still valid kills from the last 14 days and posting them to the Rogues Gallery for you. See-->> [1].

No need to thank me, in fact I should really be the one thanking you for such an entertaining wiki page and all the wonderful reading (and information)you provided for me today.

After all(as you say)'we should all know a psycho when we see them'. Plus life should be much more interesting for you with a higher bounty, it peaks the interest of other BHers.

Lots of love and I hope to run into you again.................... real soon.

--Raven Corvus 20:03, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

P.S. Love the Hello Kitty guns... just hope I am never on the receiving end of them.

Well that was... erm... kind of you! Just one thing though - next you down a PKer, make sure you dump their body outside. When left to their own devices in an extremely heavily barricaded building, they tend to make a mess! ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 09:09, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
*Sighs* Usually I do, but Cutey is such a small target and the bloody random number gods of Malton seemed to want to deny me the joy of collecting her bounty. 7 shots to inflict 4 points of damage in order to kill her (and 36 AP overall) was not in my plan. Well we know what they say about the best laid plans.........--Raven Corvus 13:26, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Three questions according to the DangerMap Judgewood is a ghost town so we incontrol or what? Is our Radio Station still in use by us? Is Doctor Parott Alive?

No, pretty much every building is ruined, there are few zombies left on the street (about 20 from what I've seen) and there are no survivors around to rebuild it. I'm dead at the moment, trying to get a revive in Roywood (which does have some life in it, so does Dakerstown). If we can get a few bodies into JW, it could be retaken pretty quickly. ~~ Chief Seagull ~~ talk 21:04, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I am holed up in St. Alexander's hospital, and am 90% encumbered with FAKs. Please send over reinforcements to help keep the clinic, and more importantly, the working surgery, out of Zombie hands, and I will gladly heal anyone who comes into the building. If we can repel the Zeds, I will make rounds of the mall and patch up survivors if the NW mall has passable barricades.
