Hi, I have a question. I want to work on the Godson Arms page and there is a dead link. Is his name "First" or "Frist"? The typo affects the live-links in the text, but I'm not sure how to correct those to direct to the bio because the spelling is inconsistent. (I don't even think I'm allowed to fix a typo'd template, anyway, so I'm not sure what to do.)

This typo problem is front and center right off. (Does the "Order of the Holy Pint" still exist?)

Any advice you might be able to lend me would be very welcome. I have no idea what the protocols would be in this matter. I wanted to beautify the pub's page, put in two or three nice photos, a little tourist-brochure text, that sort of thing. The Splain Arms has a very nice page, but I wanted color shots like the Holmes Arms (and a few others.) Sadly, most of the pub pages are unloved and contain little or nothing.

It's really intimidating, but I'd like to pick away at it in a sandbox. Thought I'd get a dummy page put together, complete with choice of copyright-free public house pictures, then put the matter to the Mad Craskers once I had something to show them. I've already looked at every single pub page in UD and found a number of nice pub photos online that are free and no one has used in here before. (The Splain Arms page, by Grifflik, using vintage shots of their pub was a clever and effective way, I thought, to get the job done without having to go insane searching for modern free photos to use.) The Craskers could tell me to give it up or they might vote on which pub picture they liked best to stand in as the Godson Arms. Any of the others could work on the pub page to tighten it up or...whatever they wanted.

Thank you for your time. Margaret Crane (talk) 03:17, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Actually, never mind. I discovered two things on my own: firstly, that the HOP group is inactive and has been for years; secondly, that the character's profile is under "Frist", but it is apparently intended as a bit of inebriation humor, the character's actual name being "Fritz". I discovered a third thing, namely that only three people still have the HOP designation of the group in their profile.
I will correct the dead link spelling and drop the section about HOP down to the last of the Godson Arms article, with a bit of a rewrite to make clear that the group is historical at this point. If I run into one of those three (former?) members, I will ask what's up. Margaret Crane (talk) 05:25, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
