User talk:Dark Steel
From The Urban Dead Wiki
Hai!
Hello, and welcome to the Urban Dead wiki. Here's my advice regarding Occupy Caiger Mall:
- Form a very clear idea of what Occupy Caiger Mall is going to be. Are you pro-survivor? Pro-zombie? Indifferent? What is your occupation expected to do? How can you be sure it will happen? How is Occupy Caiger Mall related to the rest of Occupy without being irrelevant to Urban Dead?
- If you're going to begin your occupation on December 1st, you'll have to move quickly. Finish the wiki page, broadcast on all major radio frequencies, and get people ready before the occupation begins.
- I foresee Occupy Cagier Mall as being a miniature repeat of this total failure. Look at this page, skim the talk page, and learn what they did wrong. Do not make the same mistakes.
- The wiki doesn't support external images. To put one on a wiki page, save it to your computer, upload it to the wiki, and then put [[Image:<Whatever you titled it>]] on the page.
If you have any wiki trouble, there's a very useful help directory, which you can always reach from the navigation box in the top left. You can also ask these people (or me) for help. They'll jump at the opportunity to help a newbie. --VVV RMFBGFCABWUS 07:39, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Hey Thankyou
I am indifferent, Honestly I do not know how to make these wikipages at all. I am thinking Occupy Caigar Mall is something in game. Not related to the real world. 99% of the players are dead and 1% are human so lets occupy Caigar mall. It might be something fun. Honestly people can look at this even in many ways Zeds can think of it as a lunch gathering Humans can think of it as a Survival protest PKers can see it as class warfare Any help will be appreciated. I really can't make heads or tails of this interphase
lil help
I honestly can not make heads or tales of how to use the wiki setup for http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Occupy_Caiger_Mall I know what to write but can not understand how to set it up —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dark Steel (talk • contribs) at an unknown time.
- What exactly are you trying to do? If you have some straightforward text, you can just paste it in. If you're trying to add images, upload them and use [[File:Blahblahblah]]. If you want to make a section title (giant text) surround the words with = (example: ===This would be huge===) There are tricks you can do with enough know-how, but the most important part of a group page is the text, which you've been adding successfully. What else are you trying to do? --VVV RMFBGFCABWUS 06:16, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
welcome
Hi Dark Steel! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.

Project Mentor has been set up to allow new wiki users to have a more experienced wiki veteran mentor them for the first few weeks. Visit its page for more information! |
| Your User Page |
|
One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:Dark Steel). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:Dark Steel/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made. |
| User Talk Pages |
|
Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:Dark Steel). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place. However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment. If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format: ==Message title==
Your message goes here When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this: ==Message title==

We know that as a new user, you want to share your ideas with us. If there's anything not covered by this introduction, you still have plenty of avenues to find some extra help. Project Welcome and Project Mentor are perfect starting points, but if you have something more pressing at hand, don't be afraid to get in touch with the administration staff. |
Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!
If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page.--
