bobshoby

Hello, RAF folks. I came across one bobshoby in The Fram Building in Wray Heights. Before I give first aid to people, I usually search for their name in the wiki first. I did so for bobshoby and found his name on your page for having killed one of your members. I will not heal him, now. But I cannot bring myself to do him any harm, either.

So, I'll just tell you where I found him, and you can act on it if you so choose. Again, that was The Fram Building located in Wray Heights, a little south of Roftwood. User: Bob Newheart11:42ET, 21 July 2007 (BST)

Claiming back the Roftwood

Currently Roftwood is a mess: reviving point on Turpin can't operate, since there no safehouses nearby and practicly whole suburb is under undead control. But the horde is moving out, and now it's time to act. Get at least five syringes from nearby NT (i.e. Kempsterbank is safe suburb for searching), make a safehouse and start doing revive runs to Turpin. The target area will be near our HQ, so that revived people will find their way in before getting killed again. Any questions? Sergeants, organize your squads, check out who's active and who's not. Report to me. Now, move it. Let's take Roftwood back. Lt Gen J.Well 04:30, 1 April 2007 (BST)

Taking back Hildebrand

Altough Roftwood is now pretty well in survivors control, one key point is still ruled by the undead. Now it's time to make our move in taking back Hildebrand Mall. Attacks must be done in waves for efficiency, and since we are active in different times of the day, two attacking hour per one day would be good. These times are 0000 and 1200 GMT. Every soldier can decide whether to take part attack at 0000 or 1200. Buildings around the mall are - at least for now - heavily barricaded, so we can spread out to different safehouses after each attack. Getting ammunition is a bit hard, since the closest mall (Tynte Mall) behind a half days journey. After getting out of ammo the fire axe is a good choise.

We need to have support from the citizens of Roftwood and from our allied groups. Spread the word. We'll see how things are proceeding for five days - if no progress has happened in that time, we'll pull back to reload and regroup. First attack time is 30-9-2006 at 0000, which leaves us a bit over 17 hours for preparations. Squad leaders can and are recommended to make more precice plans for their men.

Plan is simple: shoot & hack, repair & barricade, move out & regroup. If you have any questions or suggestions, just talk. Ok, lets move. --Lt Gen J.Well 10:41, 28 September 2006 (BST)

  • Obviously plan didn't work as well as planned. Regroup, take back Greenhow and Grimshaw. Try not to get killed. --Lt Gen J.Well 21:20, 4 October 2006 (BST)

New leader and Operation Bookcase

Okey people, listen up. Lt Gen Deathnut retired and I'm to take his place. Most you know me well, 'cos we've been fighting here in Malton side by side. And we've been doing that a lot longer than we were supposed to do. But we won't complain! No, we'll just keep on fightin' and we will keep Roftwood a safe place for every citizen to live! Help your team member, 'cos you know that he'd do the same for you. Protect the citizens, 'cos that's why you're here for. Shoot down the undead hordes that comes forth, and humans will prevail!

Here are some basic instructions, that I want you to follow. Barricading is the best way to stay alive. Keep barricades up to heavy or even extremely heavy in most of the buildings. Dedicated entry points must be spraypainted and kept on very strong barricades. More safehouses means more safety. Don't waste ammoes and energy in running on streets and shooting undead at random. We can't beat the undead by shooting them, but we can make them realize, that hacking down barricades and founding nothing but heavily armed RAF members inside makes Roftwood a bad place to hang around. Barricade buildings even if was occupied by undead. They'll have to waste a lot more energy to break down those barricades than it takes from you to build 'em.

We're taking Roftwood back right now. And this is how we're going to do it. Operation "Bookcase": 1. I want every RAF member to contact me on my wiki, so I can see how much active people we have. 2. We'll form new squads, 'cos old ones have broken down and we've lots of new members without one. 3. When organized more efficiently, we start doing barricading runs to Roftwood. Most important is to get away from dangerous areas for night - reviving costs nowdays so much energy, that we can't afford any unnecessary deaths. Sleep, move to areas held by undead, barricade buildings, move back to safety. 4. After buildings got barricaded, we start cleaning them. Get your axes ready and guns loaded. And keep the barricades up - barricades are more essential than using that last ammo to shoot that undead. 5. When we've got ourselves area at least ten buildings or more of heavily barricaded buildings with no undead inside, we can start to move in more permanently. Before that: don't stay overnigh in Roftwood. Just one or two buildings barricaded and no other survivors with you to keep barricades up while you sleep you are easy meat for hungry undead.

Remember to help fellow survivors just as always by barricading and healing. If you find a building with open doors and undead getting in, follow these rules: barricade, heal, shoot, get away. If you don't have energy to do that all, just barricade and get to a safehouse. Open doors means that even more undead will come in anytime soon, so shooting down the ones already inside is useless. And using First Aid Kits to fellow survivors means that after resting they can help you clearing the building. FAK's can be found more easily than syringes, and they are faster to use.

This message have been quite long, but don't worry: I don't think that there's any need to make another in a while. Let's get operation Bookcase rollin', and Roftwood will be in surivors hands in no time!

--Lieutenant General J.Well 22:46, 19 April 2006 (BST)

New squads

New squads have been formed. Contact me if you don't know that what squad you belong. --Lt Gen J.Well 15:06, 29 April 2006 (BST)

All Clear?

Undead threat in Malton is quite low nowdays. That's why RAF must now focus on getting the murder rates in Roftwood much lower. Lt Gen Deathnut shall forward this project. He is also the commanding officer of the whole RAF during this operation, that shall last to the end of July. I'll be absent during this period, but eventually I'll be back. Keep the faith, humanity will prevail. -- J.Well 23:45, 15 June 2007 (BST)

Question

Is it actually illegal for a RAF member to possess zombie skills? I don't currently have a desire to possess any, i ask purely for information. --RAF Private Spudd|talk|RAF| 11:21, 8 March 2006 (GMT)

I would also like to know, the answer, with 600 XP sat arround, I bought Ankle Grab and Lurching Gait so could get revived easier --Private Chineselegolas RAF 12:58, 8 March 2006 (GMT)

  • And now I have the zombie claw attacks... I wanted to get revenge on that Pwotter ASAP--Private Chineselegolas RAF 10:58, 17 March 2006 (GMT)

Check RAF's rules about skills. It's very simple: "Also RAF members should NOT have zombie skills." So don't get zombie skills, or you'll be kicked out. -- Sgt Jack Well 15:41, 28 March 2006 (BST)

Okay then, see ya. Been nice knowing you all and working with you to defend Roftwood. Although I plan to continue both of these as part of the Malton Inquisition --Chineselegolas TMI 11:27, 21 April 2006 (BST)

  • I'm personally very sorry for being forced to let Chineselegolas go. He's been a good soldier and helped our cause in Roftwood with honor. I will personally consider Chinseselegolas as a retired RAF member who will get assistanse from us when needed and I hope that every RAF member will think the same way. And another thing: I know that after some time one will start to think that how useful some zombies skills would be. But RAF has a strict No Zombie Skills policy. Stay behind it - we are humans, we don't need to know how to bite someone to death. Lt Gen J.Well 11:53, 21 April 2006 (BST)

Moving Up

Private Spudd here. I've been doing revive runs from my station in south-western roftwood for a bit over a week, as theres zero zombie activity down there at the moment... When are we going to get the order to move up? --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 11:05, 31 May 2006 (BST)

Radio

If noone has yet, I think we should designate a RAF-specific radio frequency, from one of the unclaimed frequencies here. --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 00:53, 4 June 2006 (BST)

  • The official Roftwood Assault Force Radio Frequency is 27.57 MHz --J.Well 16:14, 15 June 2006 (BST)
    • Jack Well said (ingame) "We better keep that radio on 26.17, 'cos that's where we'll get info from nearby areas. We're so small organization, that unfortuntaly we don't right now have need for our own station. But if something worth of mentioning happens, tell it on radio." I thought I'd post that he for those who weren't there at the time... RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 03:34, 16 July 2006 (BST)
  • Maybe you could have two radios?? one tuned to RAF specific frequency and one to intel frequency?? Wondering if you can use two...

Mobile Phone

Gents, the good General has asked me to pass on a new standing order: Obtain (via tech store) mobile phone and program all members of the RAF into it. That is all. Carry on. --O'Day 03:20, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Blunden Row School

Private Spudd here. Can the members situated in the buildings around the greenhow building area let the non-RAF members know that they should be keeping Blunden Row School at VS barricades? I got locked out today and would have been zombie food had I not found that The Whale Building is still an entry point to the mall... --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 10:38, 10 July 2006 (BST)

Return

Hello all, sorry I have been inactive for a while, the official reason is that I moved house and I didnt have interneet access. I went into withdrawals. But I'm back now. Can someone post me an up to date report on whats going on in sunny roftwood? Thanks RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 16:49, 7 October 2006 (BST)

Back in town

'ello guys. I'm back in Roftwood after touring round the place lending hand where needed and noticed the dishevelled state of my old home. You guys need hand tidying up the place? --Chineselegolas Freelance 10:13, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Revive Requests

  • The revive clinic is Turpin Road , which is above and to the left of the the Grimshaw Road PD. If you need a revive stand there.

Update: Reviving on Turpin Road is working nicely. No lines at all at the moment. Good work everyone, especially Healing&Reviving squad. --Lt Gen J.Well 10:54, 28 September 2006 (BST)

Turpin Road is also listed in some of the reviving tools, so in case the lines are very long, you can use them as well. Members of H&R squad or RAF might check on those lists every now and then. http://cdf.aypok.co.uk/revive_points/
