Taken from Brainstock

Surprised to find that there wasn't a thread for this already.

Anyway, it seems that Max Brooks, the writer of Zombie Survival Guide, will be coming out with a new book World War Z and that Brad Pitt has acquired the rights to the movie. Big names, big money.

Would be grateful if you could let the others know there's a film due. And could you ask whether the book is worth buying? Thanks. --Celt Mac Éireann talkW! 18:44, 17 September 2006 (BST)

Thanks for the update.

Glad to see somebody is taking an interest in this suburb, even if it is only zombies!

May your claws rake all your enemies, as long as I'm not one of them that is.--Celt Mac Éireann talkW! 10:23, 24 May 2006 (BST)

Howdy from the Guns of Brixton... and the RRF.

I have to say I'm sorry to read that you guys are pulling out of Grigg Heights. You were/are worthy adversaries, to be sure: I know that I, personally, was shitting my pants several times (and not just because my Brixtoner has Brain Rot).

You guys weren't doing anything *wrong* as near as I could tell. We, uh, just know the tricks of the trade.

If you're up for it, I invite you to head over to South Blytheville and hook up with the RRF horde for a while, as we go about EXCURSION, slaughtering everything. It's great fun. --Jorm 00:39, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Huh?

"The RRF sure has fell on dark days. Sad. See you on the battlefield. --Doc smith 10:42, 13 August 2006 (BST)"

What do you mean by that? DORIS is merely a group of bored Rezzens posters who want to stir things up a bit. Smoked may be acting like a cock, but that's nothing unusual. Saromu, the head of the RRF was polite to you. So why are you saying that the RRF has fallen on dark days? There is only a causal link between the RRF and DORIS, and not a very important one at that. –Xoid STFU! 11:01, 13 August 2006 (BST)
Because Petro would never do anything which would reflect badly on the RRF. That's why the Malton DEA was invite only, Petro didn't want anything to hurt the RRF. Notice how Petro defended the RRF on the DEA talk page and seperated the two groups. Petro needed to control the access of members in the DEA since a new member might do something to cause bad press, which would reflect badly on the RRF. Petro was very careful in what he did in UD. True, the DEA were PKers but they had a cool twist and I do not believe that any of the RRF elders/DEA would PK a new player. Ever. Ask Petro.
Heck, Sonny can make a PK group. But to copy Daris and kill 1st level players is wrong and if Sonny really wanted to kill new players he should of used an alias. Being a leader means you have to give up some of the joys of being a normal person.
Now Sonny may say that the RRF has nothing to do with DORIS, but DORIS is PKing 1st level players and Sonny is the head of DORIS. Sonny is also the head of RRF. See the connection? Sonny should of used an alias. Sonny can not be saying "I'm Sonny but I'm not with the RRF". Use an alias.
BTW, if you are bored of UD, quit. If not, see you on the battlefield.
Cheers! Doc smith 8/13/06
Two things first: Could you please ensure that you always sign your posts? Also: please indent properly.
Now, onto the actual issue: "use an alias"? What is it with you people? You would prefer someone to lie just to protect your sensibilities? Now that is sad. You know what it says in the FAQ about multiple characters? Separate existences. Yeah, sure, the characters are controlled by the same player. What of it? It has no bearing on the RRF's policies, actions or members.
Believe it or not, this is a roleplaying game and some people actually like roleplaying. Denying them that because you disagree of the role they are trying to play? That is facism. Calling the players of characters in DORIS facist because one or two newbies got shot? That is stupidity.
About PKing level 1 characters: Who. Cares. Are you suddenly going to stop targeting new zombies because they're new? No? The new zombies die and lose out on just as much play time due to the extortionate cost of moving and standing, maybe more, than any survivor player but that still doesn't stop new zombies from getting headshot to the high hells. Don't tell me you've never headshot a newbie zombie, it's impossible to have not done it at least once. Not unless you use the DNA extractor and add the zombie to your contacts for every kill, that is. I take it that you don't do that? Didn't think so. Ever broken into a safehouse as a zombie? Do you specifically avoid newbies if there is nothing left? No? Didn't think so. –Xoid STFU! 14:54, 13 August 2006 (BST)
Isn't the point of alts to be totally different and not the same? If I want to have a noble zombie and then a crazed lunatic for a PKer I'm entitled to do so. As for the DEA, the DEA was made up of RRF members. So far the only DORIS member from the RRF is myself. But this is an alt character. CDFers have zombie alts, should they be treated as enemies to others? As for killing new players...I don't check profiles for anything. I just kill, grab the link, and post it. I think linking myself and the RRF is stupid. I also think calling us fascists is stupid. Fascism is A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. There is no dictator, I'm just the guy that is more active on the wiki. There is no economy so throw that our the window. We're not bringing terror or censorship. No nationalism or racism. Well...we are the new Nation of DORIS. But I don't think that counts. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 15:02, 13 August 2006 (BST)

Yes folks, The Totes are still here but Doris kinda sorta disbanded after awhile of wandering about and making "friends". Sonny can be found claiming credit for the Fall of Caiger Mall.

I still haven't read any of the above postings since I could care less about these fools. I just wanted the last word :p! And why do I have to sign my posts on "my" character's page?

Doc Smith 11/14/06

DORIS is still around, and Sonny did not claim credit for Caiger's fall, he said the RRF participated but had a relatively minor role. The reason you have to sign your posts? Because numerous people don't and it makes a conversation difficult to follow without timestamps. –Xoid MTFU! 17:11, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
