Re: Promo and others

Good work, mate, but I'd like to change around the message content a tad (I'm a bit busy at the moment, so pay me no mind), and as you can see here (ignore the textual content, it's just a placeholder) I re-did the colour and indent settings to fit more pleasingly into the template. Did you say you redid the scan update template thingy of Alka's? Bravo! Do you have a link to it? I don't see it in your sandbox. Sorry for the brusqueness, I'm a bit pressed for time. CITIZEN VI 06:37, 14 June 2009 (BST)

No problems here, just wanted to get it up and running. I am not the world's best copywriter. You can see the changed example to the Suburb Scan Template on our NW Talk page or in my Sandbox3. The source for the template on the WIKI is located here--Dr Mycroft Chris 11:06, 14 June 2009 (BST)

Template:NWnews

I've took the liberty to fix it. Setting align="left" causes the template box to hover to the left and the text to wrap around it. By removing alignment code altogether, the template stays to the left but the text doesn't wrap.

Just one question though, was the decision to change the template yours? Or was it a team effort?

The reason I'm asking this is because, while the template looks nice and professional, I kind of miss the good old A.L.I.C.E. -- Kittithaj 18:17, 17 June 2009 (BST)

As you are doubtless aware, NecroWatch is at best a loose confederation of like-minded citizens. We recieved a "complaint" about the ALICE template being too obtrusive. We started a discussion between it's creator and us. He gave us carte blanc to re-do as we saw fit. However, we also took this opportunity to change the design as this new template promotes NecroWatch, which is the whole reason we started the template idea to begin with. The ALICE template is sooo cool, but only promotes us tangentially. I must admit, I took action quickly once we had a general consensus and no one voiced a dissenting opinion, so voila! Nothing is carved in stone, all things can change. But it is nice to just get it done, too. BTW, thanks for the adjusting the code. That's a bit of a weak spot for me.--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:08, 17 June 2009 (BST)
Well, to tell the truth, I'm not a Wiki code master either. I tried to change its position to align=center as a temporary (and "obtrusive") solution. But I misspelled it to "cemter" and the preview worked fine. So I just removed the alignment altogether. Talk about a lucky mistake.
Anyway, the A.L.I.C.E. template is now forever preserved on the discussion page so people can relive their fond memories of it. -- Kittithaj 16:31, 19 June 2009 (BST)
Ha! ROFLMAO! What a wonderful mistake...Thanks, again.--Dr Mycroft Chris 23:49, 19 June 2009 (BST)

NecroTech

Hey! Just felt like letting you know that I am level 3 now! About to be level 4. Am planing on getting shopping. Then visiting that hat shop of yours. Ever think about settling down? Dr Red Shadows 17:06, 9 July 2009 (BST)

Well, congrats on moving up a few levels! But as you can see from my logbook, I still got some time to go before I settle down, of course. I'm about to finish the NE quad of Malton in a few weeks probably--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:16, 9 July 2009 (BST)

I'm staying at Shore Hills, at the Locock Building. I'm the only one who uses it. No lights. When I get shopping I'm going to go and stock up. Am going to get a rabio for it also! Dr Red Shadows 17:39, 10 July 2009 (BST)

Well got shopping. Went to Akland mall. Got a phone, and a radio. Got a pistol and a clip, shotgun shell. You can text me now! :O! I don't have you though. Dr Red Shadows 17:54, 10 July 2009 (BST)

Robert is at Darvall Heights. Them 2 could have been friends :/ Where ever your at. Stay there. I'm heading over! - Dr Red Shadows

Well Robert is out side the building. Zeds attacked the place and killed me in my sleep. How lucky. - Dr Red Shadows

All is not lost....do you carry a radio? what frequency is it tuned to? I WILL get there but it will take a few hours--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:06, 16 July 2009 (BST)

2. 28.53

Thats my radio's for Rob - Dr Red Shadows

OK, have jabber, must rest up for AP...see you soon, my location is secret for now until I revive you (Thanks, Pluto!)--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:20, 17 July 2009 (BST)

Might as well answer you here to save AP

Yeah, we're in the area. Word is we'll be getting a lot of reinforcements too. --Haliman - Talk 01:04, 18 June 2009 (BST)

Glad to make your acquaintance Sir! I'm aiming for scans from the other 2 NTs in Quarlesbank soon, but gotta go get gas & gennies first. Seems like a bunch of disorganized ferals roaming around that 'burb. Thanks for the heads up--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:33, 18 June 2009 (BST)--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:33, 18 June 2009 (BST)
Most of the groups up here moved to the NE. --Haliman - Talk 01:39, 18 June 2009 (BST)

Penny heights NT's

Was craddy reclaimed, or did you just drop a fueled genny inside? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:11, 18 June 2009 (BST)

Just a drop to get the scan, 3 zeds inside (Ghost Recon Ribbon). BTW, how you doin'? My alt is resting in the Humphrys Bldg a few clicks away loaded with ammo if needed, 3jabbers and a toolbox--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:35, 18 June 2009 (BST)

Recent News Template

Hey there Dr Mycroft. I just wanted to let you know that I'm reverting your recent edit to the template recent news.

The way the template is supposed to work is you type

 {{recent news}}

onto a location page and the template will set up a news archive link. You don't actually add any information to the template itself, but rather to the location page. I hope that makes sense? Anyways if you have any questions on how to use the template or if you have any suggestions on how to improve the directions for its use please feel free to contact me via my talk page.

Laters! --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 17:11, 23 June 2009 (BST)

Oh, you know what, I just went to the Vincent PD page to re-add your info there and I realized that it was a problem with the template itself, and not something you did. Sorry for the confusion. I'll sort it out. --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 17:20, 23 June 2009 (BST)
Thanks for that, 'cause it was a little bit confusing and I still have no idea how that happened. I was updating the "Current Status" when I went to save and some other page came up saying "Template." I thought, Oh Crap! what did I click this time? Glad that's sorted out--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:23, 27 June 2009 (BST)

NecroWatch achievements

Congratulations, Doc! Have been watching you get closer to the crown jewel for NT reporting. Finally done. Thanks for a job well done. --RustyNailsSon 21:11, 25 September 2009 (UTC+10)  :)

Thanks! It is always nice to garner some recognition and I definitely do not plan on going anywhere soon but I may catch up on some social obligations I have put off for some time. First off...THEM!--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:20, 26 September 2009 (BST)

Hello. . .and. . . well. . . congratulations! what else can I say :-). . . I hope, you'll continue work have fun in NecroWatch and also keep writing your diary, which I enjoy to read :-) --Hermitek 10:41, 15 September 2009 (BST)

Ditto ;) --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 16:17, 15 September 2009 (BST)

Thanks! It has been a delight to trek all over Malton, met lots of great people and yes, I'm continuing with NecroWatch. There is much to do. I'm hoping to ease into more of an administrative role and facilitate an easier NW in the future. And if elected...LOL!--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:17, 16 September 2009 (BST)

Recent news

I found you have removed news from The Bascombe Building, The Gilesi Building, and The Curme Building. I've checked your past history a bit, and you don't seem to be the "delete everything" type. I see you usually save longer news, but remove really short ones, those without signature or timestamp.

Well, don't do that. Every news, no matter how trivial, has historical value. An unsigned news can still be salvaged, just check up its history, and use Template:Unsigned {{Unsigned|User name|Edit time}} to add the signature (you can see my example at those pages, where I edit back those news.) If you can't find that information (edit older than August 2008, that history was removed), then just leave it as it is. Thank you. -- Kittithaj 01:16, 23 September 2009 (BST)

I absolutely agree! Just so you know, what I regularly delete is the "Nothing to report" comment at the "Current Events" section of NTs or yes, an undated, unsigned comment IF it carries no historical value, i.e. "Zombies are trying to break in...!" or "I rested here and my penis RULZ!" Uggh...
However, your point is very well received. If you wish, I will forward to you any material I find questionable. Thanks for your support in the past and I look forward to working with you in the future.--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:32, 23 September 2009 (BST)

Are you done with it all?

Have you done it?

Have you done it all. If you have join me in Havercroft! Dr Red Shadows 18:56, 11 October 2009 (BST)

Yup! the scanning is done, now I can fulfill my social obligations, 1st up a siege or 2 up at the mighty haslock. I can send an alt to work with you but I think you'd have more fun & learn more if you joined me up here, besides, It'll be FUN!!!--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:42, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Corrected your scan

You posted your scan of The Morrish Building as The Haslock Building on the Pitneybank suburb page. I corrected it. Regards, your fellow NT technician. --Itsacon 18:02, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Sometimes in all the pasting & copying code, one overlooks these things. Whewww...glad you caught it--Dr Mycroft Chris 18:08, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Been there, done that. Copy pasting is dangerous work! --Itsacon 05:49, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Scout report template

Is there a reason you posted your recent scout report for Pennville as an image, and didn't update Alka's excellent template for that building? I just moved your scan to the template, hope you don't mind. I'm not stalking you or anything. Honest ;-). Regards, Itsacon 13:15, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes! I can't post the template onto the respective suburb & building pages and their needs to be proof that I actually did make that scout report. Besides, who you gonna' ask? Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much activity from other NecroWatch Techs at the moment & our founder is off fishing...sooooo.....--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:03, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Well, as for proof, same goes for the Necronet scans (it's only HTML, after all). As for including the scout reports on building/suburb pages: I'm working on some stuff. I think the scout reports are up for a bit of a facelift... Itsacon 18:03, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Vinetown scout report

Hey, me again. I was about to create the new Scout report template for Vinetown, but noticed an inconsistency. The current designated building for this is The Yapp Building, but the most recent scan (yours) is made from Bubcar Towers, and the wiki page for that building also contains the related NecroWatch info. What building are we going to use? --Itsacon (Talk | Grungni | Ikhnaton) 14:47, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Bubcar it is! Will change the page, thanks--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:31, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Reverting Pages

You can revert pages by going to an article's history, selecting the version you want, selecting edit, and then saving the edit. You can also put revert in the summary to make it more clear why you are restoring an earlier version of the article. -MHSstaff 19:02, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Necrowatch Question

Hi Dr Mycroft Chris, I'm a newbie in UD and NecroWatch and I saw that you are decidedly experienced in updating NecroTech scans so... I have a problem that I can't solve and I hope you can help ... I followed the guide and I've updated the scan image of a building (Coutts Building - EastonWood),but I noticed that the previously scan remains in the wiki page, when I'm expecting that it changes... I changed the previous user sign with mine, hoping that something happends but nothing. Searching in the Nechrowatch database scan I also find the image that I've updated...so the question is...where is the mistake in uploading the scan? Sorry for the bad English, and thanks in advance --Vera Potter 18:26, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Vera, it looks fine to me; I see your uploaded scan on the Coutts page. I think the problem is you have to refresh your browser after you make the update; you are probably seeing an older version of the scan as your browser has not reloaded the page yet. Welcome btw! -MHSstaff 20:20, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for the lateness of my reply, but it seems MHS has answered your query. Welcome aboard BTW! I'll make sure your up on the board at NecroWatch but if there is anything else you need, let me know. I also added your contact, you can always get me in town that way. I use a satellite phone, my # is MYC-ROFT...LOL--Dr Mycroft Chris 06:44, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Nice job with your log

The real reason I popped by here was to thank you for posting a log (Scanman Chronicles) on your main page for others to follow. It is interesting to read and to follow your scientist's experiences around the city. -MHSstaff 20:24, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! It's something to do...you know what it's like in this town. Liable to go stir crazy otherwise...LOL--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:02, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Ok...I have an alt at the Mall in South Blythville, Capt'n Midnight. Would you be able to meet me somewhere in between? Say Shallet Crescent? It's right next door to an NT in North Blythville and won't take me too far from my destination back in Mornington.--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:02, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

I willing and ready. But it may take a little bit, I don't any zed skills and am a little bit rusty with this zed thingy! --Dr Red Shadows 22:14, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Not a problem...I'm still putting together my jabber kit--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:25, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm in Lerwill Heights; should be able to get to you by tomorrow. What plans for after? A team up? --Dr Red Shadows 22:27, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Got revived earlier then I thought I would. Tell me where to go and I'll be there. --Dr Red Shadows 19:28, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Looks like zombie activty in Mornington is up. At least near our little tower, I just hope that Mornington doesn't go red. --Dr Red Shadows 21:41, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Count on it! It all turns red sooner or later--Dr Mycroft Chris 08:42, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Well, I'm still trying to get my pistol skills up to the highest. And I got it. Heading over to Marven Mall to reload and restock. I'll get back to the towers has soon as possible. Hold off the zeds till I get back; don't want to die on me now. --Dr Red Shadows 21:04, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Bit late, but sounds glorious to me - we'd be quite happy to recieve necrotechnicians as long as they're alright with being force-fed pie, that is. :D - Rddr

Well, Sir...thanks! I don't know when you'll get your first guys on Tour but I will be returning soon; have 20 jabbers in stock--Dr Mycroft Chris 08:41, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Badge help

Hey there,

I saw your name on the edit list for the NecroBadges Template, so I thought I'd ask you. I want to make something similar for my group, but am really unsure as to how to do it. Is there any guides or anything that I can look at to help me?

Thanks in Advance,
Red Eyes-Dezonus-Red Eyes (talk) 06:18, 5 September 2010 (BST)

Question? About joining a group...sorta

I would like to ask you a question! Would you like to become to help command in Old Arkham, I need help at Large Row Police Department. I have played before to 41 before I died. And waited a year before giving up on being revived. I am now Robert Egleton. --Robert Egleton 00:38, 19 May 2009 (BST)

Over a year? Mother of God! That's too much...I am flattered to be asked but I have to decline your most gracious offer, for now. I am way committed to NecroWatch for the foreseeable future. After I have scanned ALL NecroTech facilities, I've got to finish the scout reports for suburbs without such buildings, design more ribbons, blah, blah, blah...Anyway, I agree that the SW of Malton definitely needs more leadership/command. It just seems so loose over there. After touring at least part of that area, I figured I might resettle down your way and add to that area. I have a friend, Det. Marlowe, he is currently busy elsewhere but this might be up his alley in a few weeks after the Penny Heights fiasco is over. No promises, but thanks again--Dr Mycroft Chris 07:35, 19 May 2009 (BST)

Well, when ever you come by at Large Row, I'll be there. I played at Monroeville. Then I died and didn't want to go around killing the last of my friends. I am talented. And I hope that when ever things settle down that you'll come over and help with command. Right now I'm going to add you has staff, seeing how when you spend the night, you need to be staff. --Robert Egleton 23:35, 19 May 2009 (BST)

Well, that's mighty fine of you, appreciate that. Next time I'm in your area, I'll stay awhile. Thanks--Dr Mycroft Chris 15:30, 21 May 2009 (BST)

I was killed! Wow. I wonder why. MissBuyALot killed me. Next time you hea down there. If shes there. Kill her. Lol. I'm at Dickin Park. Waiting to be revived. I dont like being dead.

Just got your PM, added you to my contact list, I am several 'burbs away, will put in a REQ for a jabber to you. Or better yet, stay there at Dickin, it is an RP. Is ButtonNT alive?--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:29, 23 May 2009 (BST)

I have no idea. I got revived. I do not know where to go. I plan to attacked Large Row and take it down. I'm a roleplaya! Lol. I am going to kill all but Ms. Lizard. --Robert Egleton 00:29, 24 May 2009 (BST)

Am in Spicer Hills, Hopping Road Poice Department. I am staying away from Arkham. Though not far.

Penny Heights MEMS

If you are interested in being part of an organized effort in Penny Heights, let's start the dialog here--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:07, 14 June 2008 (BST)

Mycroft - nice to know we're not alone. My comrade, Sophie, and I have been trying to rally support for the retaking of Penny Heights since it was smashed by the RRF last month. We've been chased out of one safehouse fater another, scouting as we go, but have somehow managed to keep alive and keep reviving and FAKing. We heard your broadcast over the Penny H eights band - just about the first thing to come over that band all month - and have now come to join you at Lumber. If you'd be interested in working alongside us to reclaim and rebuild this poor shattered suburb, let's start a dialogue. You can find me on my talk page, or you can talk to both Sophie and myself at User talk:Hashk/Sophie Ames. Damn glad to know we're not along in the job anymore. --DubStreet 23:50, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Apologies

I got your message today, sorry I don't check Wiki very often. So sorry for shooting you on the RP I don't remember doing that!! I am usually pretty good at not shooting @ zeds on a RP. It was either not tagged at the time or I just missed the obvious, who knows! Sorry again! :)--Kip Saunders 23:19, 8 May 2008 (BST)

Apology accepted! I will remove the notice ASAP. As a side note, I believe you. Your profile didn't have the ring of some PKing scum I've since ran across. If I can be of assistance in the future, do not hesitate to contact me--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:39, 11 May 2008 (BST)
Many thanks for being reasonable for an honest mistake, as so many people in this game would hunt me down and blow my head off for less LOL. So in gentlemanly fashion I, if I ever see you swaying undead anywhere or in need of FAK, will of course expend my APs happily --Kip Saunders 00:15, 20 May 2008 (BST)
Wow! The system works! You never know where I might be; it's good to make your acquaintance, though. Who knows? We may very well find ourselves, trapped, in some NT against a horde someday and an extra FAK or boomstick will come in handy.--Dr Mycroft Chris 07:49, 21 May 2008 (BST)

Officer Butterman of the CCPD

As stated on the CCPD of Santlerville talk page, I'm very sorry for the actions of CCPD Officer Butterman who killed you when you were zombified and trying to get revived at an RP. After he did this, he came into the CCPD and reported his kill and said there were more gathered there for others to kill. He is new to the game and didn't know that it was an RP or what an RP was. I explained it to him so it won't happen again. It was an honest rookie mistake and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Should you need revivification, please come to our sponsored RP (a wasteland [78,21]) and I will be happy to revivify you myself. --Dorothy Zbornak 13:05, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I have removed the screenshots notice and understand. I will not hold it against Office Butterman in the future and look forward to working with him and the rest of the CCPD. Meanwhile, I'm at the Dowdney Mall if I can be of any assistance. Feel free to delete this entire post if it seems appropriate and pass on my remarks to Officer Butterman.--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:18, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

How it going? How's TMS treating you, are they coping well with the upsurge? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:10, 20 April 2008 (BST)

Good! Thanks for asking, back in Penny Heights. We have a mini-siege going on here (only >100 zeds 'burb wide), so, it's keeping me on my toes. Forgive me, maybe I'm too much of a noob, but "TMS"? By the way, I had no idea that you were one helluva NecroTech as well, WOW!--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:42, 21 April 2008 (BST)
As in tik, medical services? Im trying to get a grasp on how well various local groups are going, as part of a plan i have to start a group that kind of acts like a recruitment agency. I try to necrowatch it up, but recent events have gotten on top of me!--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:42, 23 April 2008 (BST)
Truth be told, I haven't had much contact with Central and more than a few contacts I have from them haven't been seen in the city for quite some time, so... I'm freelancing it where I began, Penny Heights. Also, last I knew they were 3 'burbs over. Enjoy being a doctor, though. Jobs getting a little easier with skill level upgrades.--Dr Mycroft Chris 06:03, 24 April 2008 (BST)
That first level is always the hardest! I'm back in vinetown, the zeds are in single figures for the whole burb, spending time maintaining the barricade plan. Yes its that empty. Although saying that its not fair that your skills as a doctor make gaining xp harder. I know what you mean about freelancing. I'm a freelancer with good links with a number of groups, which has helped me no end. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:17, 28 April 2008 (BST)

May 2008

It is! It was very empty in Penny Heights, so I decided to do a tour of SE Malton, all the NTs, that is. It is also giving me an opportunity to see the various groups, how they operate or rather co-operate. The best so far? THEM--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:28, 3 May 2008 (BST)

THEM in the South East? I always run into them in Chancelwood. Very good group. I'm only 4 NTs of the south east recon badge myself. ID probably Nominate M.E.R.C.Y. as another stalwart candidate. Good reviving group, with a strong RP background and excellent work being the linchpin of a lot of survivor work in Vinetown. Look at the suburb report history page, and note how the burb recovered form the dead in a week, and got rebuilt with such efficiency after the 2nd Big Bash, that they came back to hit us again..... --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:35, 4 May 2008 (BST)
You are absolutely correct, THEM is not SE but NE in Chancelwood. I'm currently at Bunstone Alley (all is ransacked within sight), zombiefied so I just might make a trek over there and resume SE scans here in West Grayside after the horde passes through. Don't quote me, but after looking at the 'burb map for Malton, it looks the zeds are in a giant counter-clockwise movement around Malton. Also, I can't believe it, but Ridleybank is green!?!--Dr Mycroft Chris 04:32, 5 May 2008 (BST)
For more general patterns (think zombie weather reports) go to the suburb page and click on the link to the scentdeath map. Its a good indication of where the zeds are. Im in Blackmore now, getting another ribbon. Ah the joys. If you get bored, try looking HERE --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:23, 6 May 2008 (BST)

I like the sound of that...jabbing my across Malton! And yeah, I ran across the zombie weather report map last week, very interesting. Well, in the mean time I've joined MEMS, so I can try to get a more concerted effort in Penny Heights going. Is this a good idea? Just asking...--Dr Mycroft Chris 10:44, 11 May 2008 (BST)

yeah, i gathered your initial encounters was not the best. Did you not tell the PK'ers it was your first day?

I have to admit Penny Heights is right on the periphery of my major stomping ground. I'd probably have a chat with User:Acoustic Pie . We used to run a zombie group together and he's a big cheese in Lumber Mall Security. So his feedback will probably be better than mine. And stop catching up with me on the necrowatch list! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:25, 11 May 2008 (BST)

Man, it is good to be back on the road again! Thanks for the tip, when back in PH I'll look up Acoustic...and look out I'm scanning NTs again...mwuah ha ha ha ...--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:30, 26 May 2008 (BST)

Organizing Penny Heights

Hello there. Penny Heights is experiencing an artificial population boom right now. Normally, the biggest population centers are the two malls (50-75 in Joachim, 40-80 in Lumber), a mishmash of loners and groups. Other areas where residents congregate are the two hospitals (12+) where the Lumberjacks make their home and the newbie-accessible safehouses, Normandare Boulevard Police Department (6-12) and Hagger Square Fire Station (3-9), and the two NT Buildings (6-12). But with the horde of undead rampaging through Malton, we have a lot of refugees.

The older groups (e.g. the Lumberjacks, StarCake Faction) have plenty of L41 players, but they rarely participate in the Wiki pages for Penny Heights. They've got their own websites. The newer organizations make more noise, but I don't know what the levels are for most of their members. Organizing a suburb-wide response, other than huddle up in the Malls and NT Buildings, solely through the Wiki is not possible. It has to be done in-game as well.

Getting all those players to work as one is going to require a lot of AP. There are too many small groups with their own ideas that are quite vocal. There are also older groups that will do their own thing regardless of what's being shouted around on the radio. To get people to listen to your ideas, you have to air your propaganda on a daily basis. You have to out-shout everyone else and bombard the residents with your words. Do that long enough, and people will listen. --The Masked Lurker 08:01, 21 April 2008 (BST)

Thanks for your timely response. So, in peace time we're looking at a population of >200? Wow...that is not a lot. I also agree with your succinct summation of PH groups. Regardless, we should still have an easy to find & implement plan that is well known ahead of time. I guess that is what has me dumbfounded, there is so much on the wiki about PH and yet it seems so disorganized in the 'burb itself.--Dr Mycroft Chris 01:40, 22 April 2008 (BST)

Lumber Mall

Hello, I think I saw you in the north of Lumber. And I was wondering, is there anyway you could screenshot the account between myself, a scarab beetle, jamjar wasp trap and an Infection (who was Pked shortly after me I believe)? If not then okay, but it would be really helpful if you could. Thank you. Acoustic Pie 19:30, 26 April 2008 (BST)

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I am infact Mokeman, so yes, if possible it would be helpful. Just take a shot and put it on our forum here. You will not be involved in any way other than just showing me exactly what happened. Whatever you have regarding it would be helpful. Thank you once again and good job with the radio archives. Acoustic Pie 19:32, 26 April 2008 (BST)
Done! Didn't see scarab there though--Dr Mycroft Chris 20:42, 26 April 2008 (BST)
Much obliged, thank you very much for your help. I've provided the group with a link to the image from my own image account so you don't get involved into the deal. Please keep up the good work with the radio archives, I can't tell you howuseful they have been lately! You're on my whitelist (which is good) so if I see you in need of a heal/revive I'll do it. Acoustic Pie 21:06, 26 April 2008 (BST)

June

Welcome aboard with the big prickers. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:23, 3 June 2008 (BST)

Thanks! Been out of the loop for awhile, but am making my way back to Penny Heights. C.R.A.P.d my first zed when I was in Pimbank. I think the tactical ideas of The Big Prick are very interesting, it basically gives us a force multiplier of 5 to 1. In case of infestation, whoa! A small band of dedicated survivors can do some real damage and turn the tide. Cleanup operations can be equally effective. This is also a great response to Salt the Earth.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:35, 3 June 2008 (BST)
Its a lot easier to inject that last zed and dump repair cade ,then to waste ammo when they'll just get up again. Especially in dark buildings. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:37, 3 June 2008 (BST)
Exactly! That's where I got the idea from. Scouting around, noticed a building that was dark/ruined. Went over and can't free run into it and it was caded to EHB. So, tore down the cades, got inside...damn, there was a zed, what to do, what to do...then I remembered I had a jabber on me but no weapons. Aha! jab 'em, only 10 AP, it could have cost easily twice that with ammo. Dump the body, recade the building and back to safety.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:47, 3 June 2008 (BST)

July

Why are you complaining to the BPE?--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:00, 4 July 2008 (BST)

Humor...I realized after that post and a little research, that is was pointless. You'll almost never find me ranting but it felt good. I'm sooooo close to getting my SE Malton NT Badge and that guy slowed my roll--Dr Mycroft Chris 09:52, 5 July 2008 (BST)
Just didn't want to see you banging your head against a brick wall. congrats on the badge! SE is the hardest to get!--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:23, 5 July 2008 (BST)

The thunderous applause in your head.

Clap, clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap .

Well done on the recon badge. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:46, 13 July 2008 (BST)

Thanks, Dude!...--Dr Mycroft Chris 06:02, 14 July 2008 (BST)

Spare?

Afternoon. Looking at your scan I see that penny heights seems v.dull. As such I was wondering? Do you use all three alts? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:46, 27 August 2008 (BST)

Rosslessness! Great to hear from you. I have only 1 alt here in Malton; Det Marlowe in Osmondville. Now, M'ville was a different story. And damn is Penny Heights quiet...but he'll be along if you need 'em--Dr Mycroft Chris 15:51, 27 August 2008 (BST)
I'd just like so steer one of your alts towards 404: Barhah not found who are always interested in well organised survivors.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 09:20, 30 August 2008 (BST)

Survivors

Do you know of any other survivors in Monroeville? I fear I may be the only one. User:Ryan Shuck 20:46, 7th September 2008

Survivors in M'ville? Haven't seen one in weeks...I'm aiming to be the last zed standing--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:18, 10 September 2008 (BST)

NecroWatch

I hope you do not mind, but I took the liberty of adding your latest, although so far only, scan to your total scans (in relation to NecroWatch). Normally this isn't an issue for me as a majority of the member profiles on the NecroWatch Members wikipage, but as this was your own template I felt I should mention it. Also, if you were interested in reporting scans again I wanted to make sure the same scan was not counted twice. For book-keeping purposes and all that. Anywho, I do hope that you return to reporting scans. For my part new scans will be reported in the local suburb news for whichever NT you happen to report from at the time. Well, good luck. --Mobius 13:38, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm back on the road again. Will do NE Malton, See ya soon!--Dr Mycroft Chris 08:28, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I figured since we had this topic still here, why not re-use it? I wanted to inquire as to whether you would be interested in an additional task. Normally when a new scan is posted by a NecroTechnician there are 3 other updates which should occur. The first is updating your total scans in the Members list, the second is adding your signature to the NT Index (Recon) sub-page if it's the first time you have reported from that particular NT building. The last duty, which is purely optional, is to report your scan in the suburb's news. I've been doing this for some time, as have others I have asked to do so and who were interested in the job, so there should be plenty of examples around. I suggest re-using older news posts and just adjusting the facts (i.e. how many zombies total appeared in your scans, where were the largest gatherings of zombies by location name). The only complexity comes in when you report from multiple NT buildings, as I opt to account (not recount) for zombies in scan overlap areas... otherwise the zombie total will be an inflated number. Obviously if you post two or more scans in the same day, but over a period of time wherein the zombies move around... that requires a notice that your total is an estimate. By now you are either very bored or very interested in what I have just said. If so, great, go forth and add your name to every suburb's news. Become semi-famous even! But most importantly, spread the word of NecroWatch, for information is power. --Mobius 14:51, 7 April 2009 (BST)
Of course, I'm interested! Someday I plan to be so far up in the Signature Race that maybe I'll even beat Matthew Fahrenheit's total. Anyway, sure, I could add that to my normal rounds. The overlap thing is a bit though. How do you manage it? And yes, I agree, the activities of NecroWatch need to be publicized if not for any other reason than to attract other motivated techies...10 involved people just can't do the system proper service. We need like 50, at least. BTW, I spoke with Commie Woman @ THEM, said hi on behalf of NW...who knows? Also, I used to be a more active member of MEMS, part of DEM, but I noticed that they (DEM) also have a branch that deals with NTs...if they are active, recruitment possibilities?--Dr Mycroft Chris 00:42, 8 April 2009 (BST)
To answer your questions, if I am looking at multiple scan images I usually go straight to the NecroWatch scan repository first, as all the scans for a suburb are located there in one spot, save you trouble switching between scans/browsers. Then I open up a browser with the suburb's map (so I can view all the locations in the suburb), and third I open a browser to Edit the suburb's news. Between these three browsers just use the NecroWatch repository to compare scans. Use the suburb map to locate where the NT buildings are relative to one another and move from one to the other in a progressive direction (i.e. start with NTs at the bottom of a suburb, and work your way to the ones at the top). I sometimes use the Windows Calculator to tally zombie totals, but at the same time I use it to cover the overlapped scan area, on a scan image, between two buildings. Then I just count the non-overlapped area (obviously after counting the overlap area on the first scan location). Then I just repeat it for each scan area until I have them all. It's easier when there are fewer zombies. Phew! I hope that helps. You are free to chat-up anyone you think would be interested in joining NecroWatch, so long as they are made aware that it's just a project meant to provide added fun in UD and not a group. --Mobius 13:44, 8 April 2009 (BST)
Thanks! I would like to start with the 'burbs I am going through, get that done and added to my routine then expand from there.--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:49, 9 April 2009 (BST)

Strike

Hey Marlowe, FYI: we're hitting the NT at midnight, zulu time. See details in forum, I left you a couple PMs. Hope you can make it, hug and kiss for you. --Sophie Ames 12:11, 2 April 2009 (BST)

I'll be there with bells on!--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:16, 2 April 2009 (BST)

Halp

Hi. Well it seems I finally screwed up enough to get us all to the brink of death, beyond hope :( Well, in all honestly, it wasn't entirely my fault. Anyway, I'm hiding in a ruin, infected, 4 HP. I think Rogue managed to hide too, all the others are dead or being eaten. I really don't think we'll make it, but just in case you see this soon and can help me: StS in Fryer. XO --Sophie Ames 17:08, 22 April 2009 (BST)

Wait wait, belay that, I got out against all odds. I think best you don't come here now, no easy escape. Making my way through Pennville now, headed for Scarlet on advice from Freudstein. I'll talk to you in the forum, or ring you when I can. XO --Sophie Ames 18:33, 22 April 2009 (BST)
Ok...Marlowe is on his way nonetheless. He's now got 10 guns, 5 pistol clips & 2 jabbers. And yes, it looks like hell has taken over down south--Dr Mycroft Chris 18:50, 22 April 2009 (BST)
Good, because I miss you like mad, heh. Yeah, be careful south of Houldenbank, last time I was there I couldn't see a single building not ruined. We're all in Scarlet now, we'll revive our dead and get supplies around Showers, so that'll be 2 days min. Then we'll tackle the Heights again, but maybe starting in Fryer. I'll keep you posted. --Sophie Ames 08:14, 23 April 2009 (BST)
Anderson Towers, Fryer. See you soon! --Sophie Ames 08:20, 27 April 2009 (BST)
We're now in the love shack and/or that club close by. --Sophie Ames 07:17, 29 April 2009 (BST)

Scouting Greentown

Hey Dr. sorry I didn't get back to you until now, I haven't been on my wiki page. I thank you for noting my post sometimes I'm not sure if anyone reads those or if they help. Unfortunately, I am no longer in Greentown, I tend to go to the where ever the hotspots are on the westside and lend my hands to the Survivors. On top of that I have become lax in my wiki posting, but I want to get back into it, so let me know about Necrowatch. How do I join? what responsibilities come along with it? Let me know the survivors need all the help that we can get.--Knife Of Honor 19:49, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Not only are your scans/scout reports read and appreciated but they will be rewarded...ultimately with cake! Sweet delicious cake! (no milk) It can seem more than a little daunting to start with NecroWatch, but I recommend going to the site and beginning with Resources. There's a lot of info but simply put, when you access NecroNet in game, take a screenshot, and post it where appropriate. Each scan adds up and there are all kind of awards you can acquire. Joining NW is simple, we'll put your name up and...voila!, you're done. Unfortunatley, there are no secret handshakes.--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:12, 2 May 2009 (BST)

Sounds like a good group to get involved with I will read up on you guys and let you know good sir.--Knife Of Honor 19:06, 3 May 2009 (BST)

DSS

Hi doc! How's it going? Wow, New Arkham... there be dragons, huh? I'm ready to believe you about the malls. Speaking of which, can you tell Marlowe we're defending Lumber now? So when he's ready he knows where to find us, because Tomkyns has been down for days now. We've got 30+ zeds, a handful of very weary half-chewed survivors, senseless violence all around. So business as usual, pretty much. Go well, hug for you - sigh really miss late tea at Fairfield :) XO --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 18:38, 13 May 2009 (BST)

Marlowe will be along 12 hrs from now, he is currently in Gulsonside after restocking on ammo (120 rounds) and will rest to full. Lumber it is! BTW, thanks for reading my little rants, I do hope they are at least entertaining somewhat. --Dr Mycroft Chris 05:17, 14 May 2009 (BST)

Haha just read that convo in Lumber, still laughing haha. Here you go: [1] [2]. Yeah, I'm a showoff :) --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 04:46, 20 May 2009 (BST)

lamest.siege.evah....it's kinda fun in a way, buncha newbie unorganized zeds, LOL! It's a nice one to add to your belt, you iced Kevan's zombie, Bub. Congrats!--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:39, 20 May 2009 (BST)

Did you get my mail? If you did, disregard it, we're pulling out. I'll tell you more later. Cheers. --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 02:50, 6 June 2009 (BST)

Just got it, was resting to full after I was looking for you guys back where we started, near the NT in East Grayside--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:03, 6 June 2009 (BST)
Twas a lucky delay then :) I'm currently watching a zombie eat everyone, me included. Doors wide open and everything, no AP to get anywhere. Heh. That should teach me to know my limitations. I'll tell you what next once I know. Stay in the area, we'll return there, eventually. XO --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 03:19, 6 June 2009 (BST)
Let me know where you are, I am loaded for bear with over 120 rounds of ammo. The dead must pay!--Dr Mycroft Chris 05:12, 6 June 2009 (BST)
Whoops, now forgive my delay. I really appreciate the sentiment :) But we escaped with just one casualty, and there's probably no way to make these dead pay for anything anyway, short of building an army.
That said, I could use some backup now, I'm facing yet another sleeping zombie in a lightly caded building (I wonder how I get myself in these situations? :S). But I'm wary of giving you the location in the public wiki. I'm probably paranoid, even presumptuous, thinking any zed will bother to watch my edits, but I really don't need any more zombies aware of this situation. So let me know if you're online, and if I should email you again, or how best to reach you. XO --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 04:50, 8 June 2009 (BST)
Alas!! For sooth Marlowe is dead!! Done in by a worthless scum of humanity, turned into that most loathsome of creatures...a zed! I shall inform you of when I walk again--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:20, 8 June 2009 (BST)
Scratch that...Zipo jabbed me, I'm back on ina New York minute--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:38, 8 June 2009 (BST)
Grand :) Next target is Blesley. But we're not all ready yet, I'll let you know.
Btw... I really loathe myself for insisting, I know you don't do forums, but.. would you register in ours some time? It'd be much easier for me to keep you updated that way. Please? We have pretty pictures and everything :) --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 23:50, 8 June 2009 (BST)

OK, only for you 'cause you asked so nicely...I re-registered, saw it has changed a little--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:09, 11 June 2009 (BST)

Thank you :) Yeh, since Dub went inactive, we had to move the bloody thing. I already opened the private sections for you. Can you make it to Blesley tomorrow? --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 03:31, 11 June 2009 (BST)
Sure, I'll check the forum for our HQ, see you there--Dr Mycroft Chris 03:54, 11 June 2009 (BST)

Morgan Blair

I think he's a man. CITIZEN VI 05:33, 16 May 2009 (BST) OK, I take that back. CITIZEN VI 05:34, 16 May 2009 (BST)

I don't remember exactly where I found out that Morgan was female, but I swear I was reading an entry when Morgan used a feminine pronoun referring to herself. True, though, "Morgan," could be a man's name as well...Sad is that Morgan is still the only one to claim the Malton badge for ALL NTs. I will change that--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:53, 16 May 2009 (BST)
