I want to know: Do you have any ideas on how I could change my Main page? It's seems a little short to me, and I want to make it bigger. Any ideas? --User:Axe27/Sig 02:19, 20 May 2007 (BST)

boxy

Template

I changed the template, now you should be able to align it by adding right or center (left is the default alignment) {{Moderator|alignment}} -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:22, 29 April 2007 (BST)

I don't know that's it's anything to do with firefox, because that's what I use. But funnily enough, your changes to your page today changed it for me, and now there is a big space below the template. It seems to be related to the size of the paragraph that the template is right aligned in. If the paragraph ends further down the page than the end of the template, a gap is left until the next paragraph starts. Don't ask me how to fix it... but if you do find out, let me know :) -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 13:25, 1 May 2007 (BST)
Scrap that, it screwed with other pages, unfortunately -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 08:56, 16 May 2007 (BST)

mentor questions

Hi, I'm just wondering whether there is any protocol to do with the talk pages that i'm missing out on? I'm good enougth at the code stuff by now to edit most things, but I'm not sure about some stuff. Like, how many suggestions is it polite to put up in the duiscussions? I try to be relitively polite and everything, but are there any protocols to do with commenting? --Seventythree 07:33, 3 May 2007 (BST)

Apex = Amazing?

Just read the Signature Race talk page, and that's news to me. I honestly didn't know that. --Specialist290 04:11, 14 May 2007 (BST)

I'm pretty sure. Lots of correlations and coincidences regarding Apex and the images / writing style he used. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:12, 14 May 2007 (BST)
I see. I thought it was somewhere else on the Wiki, and I was searching it there for a moment... It kinda makes sense, though, now that I think about it. --Specialist290 04:20, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Apex isn't Amazing. Apex is Reptileus, it all came out in some vandal case...where Apex claimed to be Amazing, but everybody laughed at him, since Amazing is clearly smarter then those two/one. Also, with Apex's James Earl Jones awards, he actually gave himself (Reptileus) "The Biggest Douche Award" which is sooooo weird...--Lachryma 05:13, 14 May 2007 (BST)
See, Jorm says here that "Reptileus = Apex != Amazing"--Lachryma 05:30, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Jorm is has no more knowledge on this then anybody else. Reptileus&Apex+another account I forgot are definitely the same person. That person is quite simular to the "Amazing&god+yet another slate of accounts" person in style. Personally I think amazing is behind all those accounts. But it's pretty much a moot point.--Vista +1 07:40, 14 May 2007 (BST)
In defense of Amazing I'll say that he has pretty much abandoned everything, even his own game, so he shouldn't be in the mood of coming back here for a laugh. Also, Reptileus was in his whole carreer a simple minded (I don't want to say "dumb") user, far from being the wiki-critic rule-observing drama-seeking attention-whore petulant-child Amagod was in his two main incarnations. Reptileus was just a guy who wanted to be a Ron or Xyu, nothing else (IMHO). --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 07:50, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Both Apex and Reptileus had problems spelling, one time Apex compared me to Amazing, and they never stirred up a lot of drama, just annoyance. But Vista's right, it's moot.--Lachryma 15:22, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Incidentally... As demonstrated above, isn't it quite, err, "amazing" how the mere mention of such a controversial figure's name can still stir up debate, even now among people who never interacted w/ the guy on the Wiki? Even long after he's gone, I guess the metaphorical ghost still roams the halls... --Specialist290 00:27, 15 May 2007 (BST)
Just imagine...one day there'll be the legend of Gage to scare little wiki users...--Lachryma 00:33, 15 May 2007 (BST)
They say he ate children, is that true? O_o --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 05:35, 15 May 2007 (BST)
Eat children? Ha! Gage was far worse then that. He would corrupt children with images of (impossibly) perfect naked women, and that was him not even trying. Once, he convinced a girl that she was actually a guy...then he made her/him cry with his evil, evil words...--Lachryma 06:23, 15 May 2007 (BST)
Gage?, I edited with amazing: I knew amazing; Amazing was a ... anyway, Gage is no amazing --Sen. Bentsen09:14, 15 May 2007 (BST)
And then some old man shows up and ruins our fun...damn you! Can't you forget your ancient memories?!--Lachryma 15:28, 15 May 2007 (BST)
I have too much memories in my head Johnny Methuselah
You're also getting senile...I can tell by your deteriorating signing skillz...;)--Lachryma 00:14, 16 May 2007 (BST)

Oh my.... I get swamped with study, and I find all this when I come back! Ah, right... so Apex wasn't Amazing.... I wondered why his wiki skills sucked. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 07:18, 16 May 2007 (BST)

Yes, his metaphorical ghost does still roam the halls, along with all those goddamn templates. Hell, I never knew the guy, but just looking at the A/M archives tells you what an asshole he was. --User:Axe27/Sig 05:01, 19 May 2007 (BST)
Or if you look at his fights with Kevan on Kevan's talk archive...scary!--Lachryma 05:16, 19 May 2007 (BST)
The thing I don't understand is why Kevan simply didn't use his owner rights and shitcan Amazing.I mean Kevan can override any adminstration decision with/without cause. --User:Axe27/Sig 18:58, 19 May 2007 (BST)
Kevan has consistantly shown that he's a nice guy and not an iron-fisted tyrant, so that's probably why he put up with Amazing. In fact, the only place where Kevan seemed annoyed was when he was talking to Amazing (that I've seen anyway).--Lachryma 01:03, 20 May 2007 (BST)
But Amazing was so widely hated that Kevan would have appeared as a man of democracy come to slay the tyrant.--User:Axe27/Sig 01:12, 20 May 2007 (BST)
Edit:After studying the arbitration archives, I've finally realized what kept Amazing in power. Libarianbrent worked to keep Amazing in power for so long, and whilst Odd Starter undermined him through the endless arbitration cases (I think I have carpal tunnel)it was only when Amazing finally pulled the most cocky of his acts and clearly overstepped his boundaries did he finally get shitcanned.--User:Axe27/Sig 02:09, 20 May 2007 (BST)
not how I remember it, but perceptions can differ. Libarianbrent and Oddstarter really hadn't had much to do with amazing getting banned. Over time amazing became less productive and more involved with drama. He always was easily provoced and when the wiki gained some members whose sole occupation was provocing him, he simply had trouble staying out of vandal banning. I think Libarianbrent and Oddstarter had been mostly inactive for months by then.--Vista +1 12:51, 20 May 2007 (BST)
I suppose your right. The Maulmachine cases highlight was an asshat Amazing was, and I doubt for a second that guys began waging a war of edits on Amazing. --User:Axe27/Sig 16:18, 20 May 2007 (BST)
I thought about reading through his cases and all that (I had seen "Wikigate" somewhere), but there's so many! So I gave up and thanked the wiki gods that he'd been banned before my time.--Lachryma 18:30, 20 May 2007 (BST)
I'm done. I've read thorugh most of the Amazing cases. Oh god, I'm done. Someone, get me a pair of glasses. --User:Axe27/Sig 18:37, 20 May 2007 (BST)
You muat've been booooored to do that...--Lachryma 18:53, 20 May 2007 (BST)
What can I say? I have no life. ;) --User:Axe27/Sig 19:04, 20 May 2007 (BST)

Sorry about that. I originally had a question about signatures, only to have the answer smack me in the face right after my post. I just forgot to edit in that I no longer had a question. By the way, please don't use angst as a term for anger. It is orignally a Deuscth(German) term that meant fear or anxiety. But really, thank you for trying to help me. P.S. I put that paragraph there as a hopeful deterrent against idiots that think just because it's the internet, it means they can do whatever they want. Ducks Unlimited

I used to see their logo stickers all over the place when I lived in Minneasotta, and wondered what the fuck it was. I heard it was a conservation group, which puzzled me because half the stickers I saw were those enormous clear things that go in the back window of a pickup truck or SUV- but I never saw one on the hatchback of a Toyata Prius or any other enviro-friendly compact. So I checked them out on the web, and almost bust a gut laughing at the irony. How they keep a straight face in public, I can't imagine. --Seb_Wiers VeM 18:16, 19 May 2007 (BST)

unfortunately a simple reversion would be cheating. And I can't do a thing without breaking the spirit of the page. No, there's nothing to do for me but wait until a random user streamlines the various colours into one harmonious whole. say a tasteful light blue version of that green set-up you did first time.It still would have to build upon what the edits already made. But all this is purely hypothetical of course....--Vista +1 14:46, 9 May 2007 (BST)

Luckily a lot of other prominant people seem to have left the wiki in less bitter circumstances., Grim s, LibrarianBrent, Zaruthustra, Squashua, Bobhammero, etc. But still, 2 people who did as much for this wiki to leave in this way is still 2 to many. It's shame, certainly as the level of drama on this wiki has been declining a lot.--Vista +1 17:07, 10 May 2007 (BST)
