Stiff Kittens was here and loves your page

UTC and wiki time

If you want to edit the time your timestamp shows, go to "my preferences" at the top, then "date and time". You should see an option for offset, which you can use to edit your timestamp.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 12:49, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for trying to help me.
However, I already tried that and it still doesn't work... :(
I've written -5:00. It that wrong formating so that would be why it doesn't work? -- •Eagle of Fire•

Historic Groups

I thought that groups in the Historic Groups sections of suburbs had to be in Category:Historical Groups. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 23:56, 12 May 2011 (BST)

I don't know and frankly, I don't care. I am not a Wiki nazi (comparison to a well known similar idiom: grammar nazi. Don't take it the wrong way please.).
I am pretty sure that those groups existed way before that list even appeared on the Wiki... So if those groups are not to come back and their leaders are not going to defend the entries, who will? If you (or other people) are removing historical entries based solely on the fact that they are part of a list or not, then you are obviously doing it wrong. -- •Eagle of Fire•

Category:Historical Groups has been around for a long time. Just take a peek at the various archives. If those groups are no longer active and meet the criteria here, then you can submit them for consideration. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the only groups that can be in the historic sections for various suburbs are the ones who are on that list. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 00:08, 13 May 2011 (BST)
I think you missed the point where I don't care about a list. I thus won't bother trying to add them there... I do know however that Yagobrew and McZed are historical groups of Yagoton. That they are not part of whatever list is none of my concern. I'm not an admin or even interested in anything similar.
I actually had a similar discussion with Aichon a while ago. He never mentioned any list, only suggested that I should add or remove groups which are or not really historical to our suburb. You can see that old discussion here. -- •Eagle of Fire•

I didn't miss that point. I only mentioned it as a caution, because if someone actively cared about it and you kept reverting it to your own whims, you could find yourself escalated to A/VB. I'll look into the matter to find out what that section is supposed to be for. I'll update you once I know, and we can go from there. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 01:16, 13 May 2011 (BST)

Re: The Smiths

I thought you might find the discussion over at Malton City Gazette's talk page to be interesting, given that we were just talking about The Smiths. If you're curious why he's suddenly getting a lot of attention on the wiki, most of it is because of this edit to Arbitration and an identical one on Open Discussion. I've since found out from several different people and conversations that he and his group have been on various people's radars for quite awhile, so there have been a number of people (none of whom have ever been sysops, despite his claims to the contrary) tracking him and documenting evidence of his zerging. Aichon 16:08, 16 October 2012 (BST)

Thanks. But this doesn't really touch me from near or far except for the fact that we see The Smiths members all over Yagoton because I've seen my fair share of mad person both on the net and in real life. If they are zergers then why have they not been removed in game per the zerger protections though? -- •Eagle of Fire•

I couldn't really say. The in-game countermeasures only go so far, and it's only in certain circumstances that zerging accounts are outright removed (oftentimes they simply receive worse search/attack odds and suffer better attack odds against them (e.g. during ESCAPE, my PKer had nearly a 100% attack rate), and that's assuming they're detected by the game in the first place, which doesn't always happen). Anyway, I just wanted to keep you in the loop with what was going on, given that they had come up in our discussions. Whether they're zerging or not isn't really something I'm too concerned with either, but I figured I'd pass it along and let you decide for yourself whether you cared or not. ;) Aichon 16:54, 16 October 2012 (BST)
Thanks. Since the best course of action against someone like this is simply to stay low so you don't get hit yourself, I'll simply watch from afar. -- •Eagle of Fire•
