I'ts quite broken. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 04:02, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by broken. I'm looking at the image and it looks like what it looks like in my browser (firefox) :o Were the links dead? I was continuing on from the work I did to put compass bearings on each individual suburb map to make them easier to navigate between. The down arrows (▼) on the danger map are supposed to take you straight to the corresponding suburb map (to save you having to scroll down the entire suburb page every time) and the suburb text labels -- which I shortened to stop the table cell heights from sagging -- should take you to the top of the suburb pages. If you hover your mouse pointer over the links the full suburb names should show up in the alternate text field. I could change those down arrows to plus signs if that would make things clearer, but there are already up arrows (▲) on the suburb maps to go up to the danger (main) map as I felt a minus sign might not be an apparent symbol. I should have included a legend or an explanation. --Father Bigley 05:46, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

That is what it's supposed to look like. It's not the links, but the tabs and UD nav bar. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 18:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC) It could be that you just forgot to close some tags.

It's good now, thanks. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:10, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I'd forgotten to put one closing tag out of a hundred in :) --Father Bigley 22:14, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Greetings

Father Bigley, I just wanted to let you know I had done a small edit on the Cadbury Bank entry you posted a few days ago. I moved your post from the Description area to the History area as it seemed more appropriate there. I hope this is not a problem. By the way, I enjoyed reading your history of Cadbury Bank! Sincerely, --Shazzelim 17:28, 16 October 2007 (BST)

No worries. When I started writing a few of these historical notes I was adding them under the History section. Then I noticed that many locations had used the basic template and added their status reports under History as a sort of time-line. I considered adding my historical notes to History and moving their status reports to a new Activity section, but then I had second thoughts over the confusion this might cause and decided to append to Description instead. --Father Bigley 22:42, 17 October 2007 (BST)

Our group, the VZW is planning a Film Festival Tour of Malton. If that is something you would be interested in, check out our Wiki and come along with us. We could use additional creative writing help too as we visit each Cinema on the way. Sincerely, --Shazzelim 15:49, 19 October 2007 (BST)

NICE

I like what you did with the map on the bottom of the Mornington Wiki page. Great work --Mrite 22:45, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm slowly working my way across Malton :P --Father Bigley 22:49, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
those bearing links are really handy. thank you for adding them. --Barroom Hero 14:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Yep, good work, stylish it is :) Are you finished with this page though? If so, it should be put up for speedydeletion -- boxytalk • 11:06 4 December 2007 (BST)

Thanks, I'd forgotten about that page. I've put it up for deletion. --Father Bigley 21:45, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

DangerMap

hum... this edit of yours can be handy.. but the dangermap is supposed to provide a easy reading of the danger levels... your work, while really interesting and useful, makes such reading harder as there is several dots that you need to filter in order to get the big picture. For you to understand it better, step away from your monitor and look at the danger level... you should be able to read Malton overall danger level in a glimpse. The dots, in the other hand, creates a pattern that makes it harder for it to be read. The suburb names also should ALWAYS be noted in their full extension, since not all users are familiar with all of them. I play this game for more than two years and i still manage to find burbs whose names i never heard about... and i am the one who created this map in the first place. In order for your work not to be wasted, i suggest you to create another template, and use it in another article. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 22:26, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Righto, I'll revert the map to the previous version. I contemplated using + signs in the space of the arrows, but they were too small to click on. I could just use periods, which would make it look less like a big pegboard, but again the target would be too small. As for abbreviated suburb names, a lot of them were too long, so I got the abbreviations the U.S. postal service and tried to anticipate what words people would be looking for as they scanned the grid for a place name. --Father Bigley 22:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
