Status reports
Alright. The first thing you want to do is click the update button on this template,

which will take you to the danger report page. From there, click the edit tab. Once you're editing, you'll see a series of three lines that look like this:

|comment=somemoretext
|user=signature
What you want to do is replace the "sometext" after the |status= with the words in the picture you want to use (note that the words need to be in all lowercase). As a general rule, use safe if the building is secure with less than four zombies outside, Under attack for 4-20 zombies, under siege for 20+ zombies, and ruined or in zombie hands if the building is, well, ruined.
The "somemoretext" that follows the |comment= is replaced by a personal comment on the shape of the building. If you don't have any comments to add, leave this line blank.
The |user= line is simple. just put four tildes, like this: |user=~~~~. You can quickly add the tildes by hitting the signature button (
).
Key things to remember:
- Always make sure your report is signed (using ~~~~ or
). - Never delete the |status= |comment= or |user= .
- always type the status in lowercase.
- Be creative in your comments, but try to maintain a neutral tone.

Updating news
Please use a neutral tone while updating news and status report like a professional news agency. This edit of yours to Vinetown is good enough, up until the last sentence where you request, no, demand people to give you a revive. This is unacceptable as a news piece and that last sentence was removed.
Remember:
- The news section is not a place to discuss tactics, call for help, or to give orders: use the suburb's talk page.
- The news section is not the place to talk up your own group, or badmouth an enemy: use the suburb's talk page or your own group page.
- The news section is not the place for reporting your own death or requesting a revive.
- The news section is the place for neutrally worded reports on the actual situation in the suburb.
Also, don't forget to sign your post with --~~~~ or the button. That way, you don't need to insert your own timestamp again. If you want to change your name in your signature from your username "Gogorat" to your preferred one "Gogomouse", you can do that with Preferences option and put "Gogomouse" in the Nickname field. By the way, if you want a quicker revive, go to a Green suburb instead of waiting where you are. You can get a revive within less than a day. Even a Yellow suburb is much worth trying. Check the Malton's Suburb map, the closest of such suburbs is Crowbank to your West. Why don't you go there? I can't believe how many people still think it's a good idea to waiting for a cavalry in a thoroughly wrecked suburb. If you want something done, do it yourself.
