hi, just one question: when adding a comment to a Suggestion page, what teplate should i use so I have my name and current date there? could not find it anywhere

The Only reason I reference Isc and Thad, is that there's been no one better recently. --I'm not the Ross UDWiki needs, I'm the Ross it deserves. 12:09, 8 September 2012 (BST)

Yeah, not to react but that's no joke the only time I've heard Iscariot's name in at least a year. That was actually supposed to be the joke. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 12:45, 8 September 2012 (BST)
I figured. This place has gotten really undramatic lately by the looks of things. Somebody throw a coup. Linkthewindow  Talk  07:34, 9 September 2012 (BST)
Your observation is dead on. This is a very different wiki to the one we 'grew up' in. I'll say that, the the dead will return, I bet... A ZOMBIE ANT 07:49, 9 September 2012 (BST)
Not sure about that, the drama peaked around the whole Grim coup saga and has been steadily decreasing since. I've returned/lurked occasionally since I left, and it's become - and stayed - a lot less dramatic (which is good.) On an unrelated note, love reading my comments from three years ago. Mrh?

Hows he getting on. Still in the East? I gather its getting quite hairy? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 09:42, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Comrade Mrh is in the North now. Starting to see some ruined buildings (I did a 3AP repair the other day.) Aren't you running a group up there? Oh, and thanks for fixing my typo on my characters page. Linkthewindow  Talk  09:50, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. But the first 3 weeks were easy. 3 simple rules in new cities.
1 get some active members.
2 get construction
3 cade as large an area as possible. With nowhere to hide and no easy xp, zombies quickly move on to easier targets. After that you're free to power and establish radio contact with others. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:08, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Which is what I'm doing ;). Becoming a skill whore will be stupid, as it will make you a magnet for zombies and Pkers. Linkthewindow  Talk  11:10, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. we lost a member to pk'ing last week. Thanks to meta gaming he survived for 3 whole hours. Silly Pk'er. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:12, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Some pking groups seem to be taking the disposable alt route at the moment. Even killing one survivor a day would be a drain on us after a while. Was Pking a problem in Monroeville? Linkthewindow  Talk  11:15, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
For the first month or so PK'ing was the number one cause of death. (Other than sleeping outside) The hordes where still small, and although fantasitcally well led their effects were localised. (Monroeville having a much larger initial population.) Once the Permaheadshot came about a lot of zombies used survivor alts to thin out the zombie hunters. Look here. UDWiki:Open Discussion/Monroeville How Was It For You? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:21, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
I've heard some people wanting Pking being removed in future cities. There argument is that although it's realistic in Malton, it's simply too annoying in new cities. Linkthewindow  Talk  11:30, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
It would be interesting as a one off, but I doubt it would pass a public vote. After all. Its slightly more realistic to shoot someone than to eat their brains. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:32, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Greentown Building Information Center

When you've completed the project why not create the above page. Look here for how. Vinetown Building Information Center helps people check everything. (If you're really flash you'd work out how to display all the status reports on a map, but thats too technical for my liking. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:10, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

I wish I could do all the status reports on a map too. Like that idea, will do it once I get those status reports up. All buildings, or just TRPs? Linkthewindow  Talk  11:12, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Well I do every single building in Vinetown but its a bitch to maintain. I'd say TRP's, (Including factories auto repairs and mobile tower, but not fire departments.) --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:14, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
I'll see how much time I have. Holidays are coming up :D. Linkthewindow  Talk  11:15, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Done. Just, one thing though. How do you add RP's to the page? Linkthewindow  Talk  12:02, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Using bhore as an example, the whole thing is a template and you just include it. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 16:59, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't seem that way for the Greentown RP's. Maybe I'll fix it later. Linkthewindow  Talk  00:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Noodles-sort of. He isn't a typical adbot, but that might just be a play to get links to his page. Yetdak has no edits-removed. Linkthewindow  Talk  09:57, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that is my alt. I'll go in and change that page, if I can find his password. Would you happen to know if old wiki accounts can be deleted? Thanks, --Pestolence(talk) 22:47, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

There is no rule against using another user to edit a page, especially in these circumstances. If you want it deleted, go to A/SD. That won't delete the user of course, but he won't be findable easily. Linkthewindow  Talk  10:01, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

N00dles

The user "N00dles", my friend, is a universally used user on the wiki. It is used to update and maintain the n00dles page. I use this user to put up new comics, update and maintain the page itself, add news, and reply to people's questions/comments/concerns. Met fan 01:36, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

That's fine. You might want to post a note to that effect on his user page. For now, however, I'm going to remove his redirect at the UHUB, as he's not a user. You can add a link into your comment section if you want. Linkthewindow  Talk  11:00, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Arby's Archives

The ended, dropped, or abandoned cases all get archived. Each case gets transferred to its own Arby's subpage, and then protected. You can help move the finished cases too, if you'd want to do so. --ZsL 03:54, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind. I just have a brief question, if you don't mind. What is this User Hub thing? Do I have to put my name in it? I dont have a talk page or anything so wouldnt it be kind of pointless? Just wondering, --Blaise Shea 23:59, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Its designed as a replacement to user page redirects (that is, having a redirect to your user page.) Users add there name there so it can be found easily. There isn't a rule saying that you can't add your name, but you don't have to (and you are right, you might want to create a user page first.) Thanks. North Blythville Page

Hey why did you delete my pro-survivor bias post but then leave pro-zed Niche's bias post up? --Jake T Weber 02:05, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Although his post did contain a little bias, it actually contained information, while yours was simply a snub at Niche. Suburb reports are for that, not for discussion and needless snubs at players. Linkthewindow  Talk  02:25, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh so it's OK for a little bias as long as there is a gem of information like 'NT is now ruined' or burb mis~information 'extremely dangerous'? So I can put my post back with an added sentence of 'zeds sighted outside the NT' and you will leave it alone? I didn't snub Niche at all, you read it wrong, I was actually sticking up for for all those nameless zeds who Niche stole the credit from as his group are tiny! But hey who am I to post a little humour on an otherwise dry page.--Jake T Weber 02:53, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

One of the guidelines says "This is not the place to talk up your own group, or badmouth an enemy: use the talk page or your own group page." Go ahead and say that he stole the credit-just not on the main page, on the NB talk page. Finally, your quote makes it pretty clear that you didn't abide by that rule. Contentious bits are highlighted.
Jake T Weber said:
Niche how can you say that it fell to Kaishakunin! What about all the 50 or so non-Kaishakunin rotters out there who joined in plus the pro-zed pkers. It took you long enough to brake in that everyone got bored and went home LOL... but the Olney Militia are here to spoil the bahhah harmbah zombie Yuletide with revives and repairs. Pilgrims I wouldn't agree with that statement 'extremely dangerous' either but that's zombies scare tactics for you ;)
Finally, your post was simply discussion, not actual information. Stuff like that belongs on the talk page Linkthewindow  Talk  03:05, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes so? I didn't say it wasn't deserved as a bias deletion... you don't need to quote me I know about NPOV... has it been set in stone yet? I read half way then got thoroughly bored. I posted it as a direct result of a a non-NPOV done by Niche to see if I got deleted... which I did ... so here I am am wondering why I have to post in the talk page about an Non~NPOV statement when the said Non~NPOV statement is still on the (edited by you) NPOV NB Wiki?

For the record I think it is really sad that who ever came up with this idea of NPOV for Resent News has really killed off a lot of humour. I don't care about groups making propaganda claims or speaking zombie as long as it is done in the spirit of the game. And hell the news gets archived by the end of the month anyhow! Niche & I know each other from way back and neither of us would of taken offence to each others post in the least. I can understand that sometimes people get out of hand and things need deleting but things can go to other the extreme. So I called you to book to explain why you left Niches post and deleted mine not thinking you would actually edit the zed's post as well! ah well suppose it's the Talk page for both of us now, let the External *yawn* Military do the posting. --Jake T Weber 03:45, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Jake, its because my cool factor is over 9000!!!!11!!!eleven!11!! times bigger than yours. Joking aside, referring to Kaishakunin as tiny is fair, we're only about 10 strong. But we're the most organized and vicious tiny zombie group you'll find, and we're excellent at mobilizing the faceless masses of zombies who just want to gangbang harmanz! They know who butters their bread and they gladly assist our operations if we set them off properly. Niche 13 December 2008 (UTC)
He does have a point. Smaller, co-ordinated groups can do heaps of damage, letting the uncorodinated hordes in. Just because a horde is small, doesn't mean it shouldn't be feared or given due credit too. Linkthewindow  Talk  10:03, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Come on guys, let's keep the drama off my talk page. Anyway, Soilder, it appears you have had some growing pains with the wiki. Firstly, you should be careful about causing needless drama. This wiki is full of it, but creating drama just creates negative attention, and that's not good. Anyway, if you have a serious problem with a user (such as continued edit waring,) then Arbiration is the place to go, but in this case, it's not nearly serious enough to bother. Of course, vandalism goes to A/VB, but be sure it's vandalism. People don't take well to unfounded vandal reports. Remember that you can't get along with everyone in life, and that the internet is full of annoying people (although, personally, I don't mind Pestolence or Iscarot, just to make that clear.) Good luck! Linkthewindow  Talk  10:03, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Recruitment

When removing ads, I find it easier to remove each ad by its section and leave the reason in the edit summary. This will save people coming to your talk page and asking why individually. It simply saves drama and typing. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 00:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for the tip. Linkthewindow  Talk  01:05, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Taking entire sections out with the same reasoning and inconsistent edit summaries will get you stress and cause you drama. Also we tended to give the Borehamwood and Monroeville ads a lot more leeway due to the fact they are dead cities. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 01:11, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Yep. Do we generally give them a warning first and then delete, or just delete it immediately? I've seen some people posting warnings on group talk pages, but it doesn't seem like a common practice. Linkthewindow  Talk  01:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I don't use them, mainly due to personal preference that stupid people shouldn't be helped, Whitehouse occasionally used them and Atticus did use them. You cannot be escalated for removing an ad that breached the rules of the recruitment page, nor can you be escalated for failing to remove one that does. Use them if you want, I just delete, I find it easier that way so long as you leave a consistent edit summary like mine. -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 01:23, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
