[edit] Medics of Malton Forums
Doc Crook was kind enough to set up a forums for group members to use to communicate. I highly suggest that you take a moment of your time to register there, as we will be trying to shift most discussion over there. Have a great day! --Pedentic 02:37, 1 August 2007 (BST)
[edit] Internal Discussion
I've made a page to house internal discussion topics for our group. It can be found here. --Pedentic 13:29, 16 July 2007 (BST)
[edit] Please
Please remember to sign your posts. Instructions can be found here. Thanks! --Pedentic 14:54, 9 July 2007 (BST)
[edit] Hey
Good afternoon! I noticed that you made a user page for yourself. Good job! Might I suggest putting {{MedicsofMalton}} somewhere on that page? It will make the following:
| Medics of Malton | |
| This user is a member of, or otherwise supports the efforts of the Medics of Malton. |
Also, if you want any help improving or adding on to your page, just let me know. Have a great day! --Pedentic 21:14, 8 July 2007 (BST)
[edit] Ummm
I fear that it will take me at least two days to come revive you. You are a lot farther away from me than I realized. If you want to wait, that's ok, but you might get faster service at an established revive point.
- Also, please don't forget to sign your posts. Instructions for doing so can be found the post below this. Thanks! --Pedentic 04:25, 30 June 2007 (BST)
[edit] A revive
You might wish to check out the wiki page about East Boundwood to find the revive points there. Also, there's a really good revive point in Shearbank (where I'm at). Shearbank is a few suburbs south of where you're at. Anyhow, good luck with a revive. If you let me know exactly where you're at, I can come do it for ya. It would probably be quicker that way. If so, please contact me soon so I can get a move on. :)
- Also, whenever you move please update your location on the member roster. If you want help with that, just let me know. Have a great day! --Pedentic 03:36, 30 June 2007 (BST)
[edit] A quick reminder
As I viewed your character's profile I noticed a slight mistake. The group name is "Medics of Malton," instead of "Malton Medics." You may wish to change that. You can also ignore the move orders that I orginally assigned you to just concentrate on leveling up for a week or two. In regards to that the first skill you should buy when you get 100xp is Hand to Hand Combat. This will make it a lot easier to kill zombies for xp. Then just kill zombies until you can buy Free Running. After that, I would suggest the Shopping skills or First Aid. If you die and need a revive, look up the suburb you're in on the wiki to see where the revive points are. Good luck, and remember: I'll by happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a great day! --Pedentic 03:07, 28 June 2007 (BST)
[edit] Welcome Aboard!
Upon reviewing your application, we are happy to welcome you to the Medics of Malton! First of all, don't forget to change your group affiliation to Medics of Malton. This is done under "game settings". Before we decide where you would be most useful, we would like to know what suburb you're currently in and also have a link to your character's profile. You can either post it on my talk page or just add it to your application. If you have any group-related questions, please contact either Chesh Smalin (the group leader) or myself (personnel officer). If you have any wiki-related questions (like making a user page or such), feel free to ask me and I'll see what I can do to help. Again, welcome! We're glad to have you! --Pedentic 12:15, 26 June 2007 (BST)
[edit] Welcome to our Wiki
Hi MCFD2! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.
| General Editing |
Further help for editing the wiki can be found on the Help page. |
| Project Mentor |
|
Project Mentor has been set up to allow new wiki users to have a more experienced wiki veteran mentor them for the first few weeks. Visit its page for more information! |
| Your User Page |
|
One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:MCFD2). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:MCFD2/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made. |
| User Talk Pages |
|
Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:MCFD2). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place. However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment. If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format: ==Message title==
Your message goes here When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this: ==Message title==
Your message :User's reply ::Your reply |
| The Suggestions Page |
|
We know that as a new user, you want to share your ideas with us. But a community as big as ours has already seen all kind of suggestions, and it's possible that we've already seen something very similar to the ideas you have. Follow these simple guidelines to make sure that your suggestion gets the respect that it deserves:
|
Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!
If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page.
