About this

Right, I have had this idea in my mind for a week or two now. It all started when I was working on a new design for my group page (see the example). I was unsure, and I wanted some opinions on the matter. Of course, I soon found I had to manually contact a few persons on their talk page as a help page on this just didn't seem to exist. There was a page for technical help but that didn't quite cover the aesthetic part of my request. A very recent example of this problem can be seen here. Instead of using someone's talk page, why don't use a general design page?

As can be seen, I created this in mind with the Community Portal, as it seems to fit there the best. Thoughts on the implementation of this? Anything that can be improved? Input is appreciated, as always. --Thadeous Oakley 21:14, 9 August 2010 (BST)

I like this concept, but talk pages will always represent a faster option, where users are more likely to help. Certain people may not always post there; especially those who are more recessive.--Yonnua Koponen^{Politics, the Burnham Way!} 21:17, 9 August 2010 (BST)

Once this gets some attention via links or rc, I'm sure people will show up. I mean, look here, I gave a shout on RC, without contacting anyone on his talk page and I get 3 people within the first minute! I like this. It's a continuation of the long-dead Style Up! movement, and lord knows we have some talented guys here who could get things going. I'd be up for helping out with this, I've never been averse to helping make things pretty. I'd say stick it in the community portal to give it some presence, and stick it in that Hack's sig too.
