Proposal

As per the conversation on the talk page of the petition to ban the user Amazing, said user has agreed to cease and desist all trolling, baiting and flaming actions provided that the exact same standards be applied to but not limited those he has taken arbitration cases against concerning his person. I have agreed to examine and report all such incidents that would apply to the above and submit them to two unbiased mods for their approval on the pain of banishment if any involved party find me flagrantly abusing such a position towards a bias of any concerned party. The abuse would be determined by aformentioned mods or a predominance of the evidence. I ask for the approval and the enforcement of the agreement should all concerned parties agree to the terms. --Prosperina 05:55 23 April 2006 (BST)

I've made a page for this proposal http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/User:Prosperina/Proposal --Prosperina 08:55 23 April 2006 (BST)

I'll take a look at it.--The General W! Mod 09:11, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Need a ruling

Small problem chief, The humorous suggestion ban got the required number of votes, but only if Undeadinator's in text change is counted. If you go by standard suggestion page rules, then it doesn't because he didn't cross out the old vote. However being a talk page there is some history of not using standard voting practices. It's also unarguably clear that it was his intent to change his vote, as seen in his text, but did not, due to any reason from technical problems to forgetfulness, or this bit in his text: Not crossing out my original opinion, however, because I so rarely get to use that word "denigrate" and I will be god damned if I delete it because of a little thing like "facts". Frankly I'm tired of this and if I have to deal with him any longer I'm going to write out something that will not only verbally violate the rules of the Wiki but also any small animal within 10 feet of a monitor displaying the text. Velkrin 06:20, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Speaking of rulings, i need a ruling on This. Its been soundly ignored by the moderators thus far and is slipping into obscurity. All thats required is a yes or now. --Grim s 09:01, 18 April 2006 (BST)

That is hilarious Grim! But if you'll just read the actual posts, you'll find that I got a warning (not one of the new ones, just a verbal one). Stop trying to get me in trouble just because I made a label about you. --Cyberbob240CDF 09:11, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Cyberbob, im starting to think that you just watch my recent contributions and follow me around trying to stir shit up. No moderator commented on the case there, and as far as i have been able to tell, no moderator took action against you. As such, the case is still open and i have asked for it to be resolved. --Grim s 12:00, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Stop stealing my routine. -- Amazing 18:21, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Grim, I'm starting to think that you just watch my recent contributions and follow me around trying to stir shit up. No moderator commented on the case there, probably because they didn't think it merited one. It was resolved with an apology from me to Jedaz, and his accepting it. I said I'd never do it again. Happy? You should be. --Cyberbob240CDF. 12:12, 18 April 2006 (BST)

If I may cut short the flame war that is about to take place on my talk page I would to say that I am about to comment on the case.--The General W! Mod 13:11, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Flamewar? When he gets like that i start ignoring him. --Grim s 14:21, 18 April 2006 (BST)
Oh, and i think you rendered your judgement on the wrong Cyberbob section on the page. --Grim s 14:28, 18 April 2006 (BST)
Never satisfied, are you? --Cyberbob240CDF 15:11, 18 April 2006 (BST)

Back to the original topic, can we get a ruling on that? Velkrin 02:21, 21 April 2006 (BST) If I may, I would like to second Grim s' request for a ruling, in the interests of conflict-resolution. I've grown sick and tired of arguing. --Cyberbob240 CDF | Arb 10:32, 21 April 2006 (BST)

Cyberbob240 Again

As there's a few things been added here, it would be nice to have this case closed. Cyberbob claims to have changed his ways, and asked me to ask you to resolve the case. Had I my way I would give him a probationary period where if he attacks Grim S outside of user talk pages a temp ban is given. Just my 2 cents on the matter- – Nubis NWO 10:00, 21 April 2006 (BST)

Thank you Nubis. I agree with your assessment of my punishment. I don't deserve to get away scot-free, but I have changed my ways (and isn't that what punishment is about?), and have apologised sincerely to the involved parties. Except, of course, for the people who just won't give up. NOTE: That doesn't include Grim: I've made peace with him. I mean people like Mpaturet, Craw etc. I don't waste my time trying to win them over. --Cyberbob240CDF | Arb 16:00, 21 April 2006 (BST)

Uhh... are you going to close the case? --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 09:10, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Please? --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 09:15, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Case closed.--The General W! Mod 09:27, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Attempt to find resolution and common ground

Because of the near perfect split on the discussion of Language an Offensive Users I created a page where maybe we can find an acceptable solution. If not, well at least I tried. Page can be found Moderation/Locational Language/Interaction I took on the mantle of responsible party so that even the MODs can state thier ideas and opinions. Conndraka 19:07, 22 April 2006 (BST)

Harassment Policy

Hey General. Check out the finished draft of a Harassment policy Wyndallin and I have put together here. Leave your feedback on either his talk page or mine. --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 13:37, 23 April 2006 (BST)

Apologies if you haven't had the time, General, and I don't mean to nag, but your input would be much appreciated. -Wyn (Wyndallin) 15:33, 1 May 2006 (BST)

I'll try to get to it today.--The General W! Mod 15:42, 1 May 2006 (BST)
Thank you very much. :) -Wyn (Wyndallin) 15:45, 1 May 2006 (BST)

I didn't delete anything, General. I just archived it. :/ -Wyn (talk!) 18:45, 1 May 2006 (BST)

  • Not a big, sorry for the confusion. -Wyn (talk!) 18:56, 1 May 2006 (BST)

GANKBUS Arbitration Ruling

Might I suggest you reopen the case? It seems everyone's a little fuzzy about who's allowed to edit what where. Clarification about the removal process would certainly make it easier. --Lucero Capell 21:37, 24 April 2006 (BST)

Offensive material is to be removed from the GANKBUS page, this may be done by anyone. --The General W! Mod 22:17, 24 April 2006 (BST)

You don't get to determine what's offensive! Linking to "Flame Warriors" is not. Rasher 22:40, 24 April 2006 (BST)

User:I.V

Actually, you didn't warn him, as such. The name is without the last dot, User:I.V , not User:I.V. as was on the vandal banning page. Also, you better check his contributions... --Brizth W! M T 21:22, 25 April 2006 (BST)

Arbitration

Could you take a look at my ruling on the re-opening of Amazing vs. Lucero and somehow approve or disapprove it ? I believe i have reached a very fair ruling, that lucero agreed to and amazing didnt. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 19:41, 26 April 2006 (BST)

Vandal banning

When you warn or ban a user, can you say you've done so on the VB page, and add it to Vandal Data? It makes it a lot easier for the rest of us to keep track of whether we should warn or ban for further vandalism...--'STER-Talk-Mod 03:14, 28 April 2006 (BST)

The Amazing Petition thingy

I've been talking it over with Mia a bit, and have decided to ask a question. Could you (or any mod really) set a date for the petition to end? It's already lived past its useby date, but hasn't quite gone off yet. I suggest... the 10th of May. --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 13:28, 28 April 2006 (BST)

Sharf

Ya said to let you know when Rasher's friend was back vandalizing my pages. Welleeellelelelllelellll, check the Vandal page and rock on. Word. -- Amazing 08:34, 30 April 2006 (BST)

Rule 13

I strongly suggest you review your verdict in the case i brought forward, after re-reading the rule. It leaves no wriggle room for good faith. The rules are right there on the page, and there is no reason not to expect them to follow them. --Grim s-Mod 20:02, 30 April 2006 (BST)

Yes, and I believe that the appropriate action is to give him a verbal warning.--The General W! Mod 20:04, 30 April 2006 (BST)
I thank you for completely undermining vandal banning. The precident has to extend to other clear cut vandalism cases, as that was a clear cut vandalism case as described by the rule. As i said on the page, this means anyone can, on thier first offense, blank thousands of pages, apologise, promise never to do it again, and get away with it. Congratulations. I have never before witnessed such fucking brilliance. *golf claps* --Grim s-Mod 20:17, 30 April 2006 (BST)
The precident doesn't apply to blatant, bad faith, vandalism. Blanking thousands of pages would never be considered a result of ignorence of the rules, I considered this a good faith edit which he apologised for and corrected. If he hadn't removed it and I had judged it bad faith, I would have given him a warning. The precident, as far as I am concerned, does not extend to any other cases except future cases regarding this rule. If he does it again he will be warned and if he does it a third time I suggest we give him a ban.--The General W! Mod 20:29, 30 April 2006 (BST)
